Diabetic retinopathy ( DR ) is one of the main blinding eye diseases for people over the age of 50, and diabetic macular edema ( DME) is the leading cause of vision loss is DR patients. The early diagnosis and early treatment is important. As OCT and FFA, mfERG, especially the retinal thickness, volume, retinal edema index quantitative indicators such as objective evaluation of macular edema, embodies the new progress of retinal imaging technology in recent years. OCT is a non -contact clinical application in recent years, noninvasive, high resolution of ophthalmic imaging examination, can do it on retinal ultrastructure observation and quantitative analysis, and the technology is relatively mature, become a routine inspection diagnosis of macular edema. Laser photocoagulation, intravitreous injection with Ranibizumab and vitrectomy is nowadays the important means for the treatment of intractable macular edema.

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy and safety of Kangfuxin liquid in the treatment of pediatric hand, foot and mouth disease. METHODS:128 children with hand, foot and mouth disease were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 64 cases in each group. Control group was given routine treatment as herpes and oral care, antibiotics for infec-tive children reflected by hemogram elevation, fluid infusion and non-steroidal analgesic-antipyretic agent based on disease condi-tion. Observation group was additionally given Kangfuxin liquid,3 ml for below 3 year-old,tid and 5 ml for more than 3 year-old,tid. Clinical efficacy of 2 groups were observed as well as CRP,lactic acid,Ig,the level of myocardial enzyme before and after treatment;the time of symptoms and signs disappearance and ADR were compared between 2 groups after treatment. RE-SULTS:The total effective rate of observation group(89.06%)was significantly higher than that of control group(70.31%),with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in CRP,lactic acid,Ig and myocardial enzyme before treat-ment and IgM level after treatment between 2 groups, with statistical significance(P>0.05). CRP,lactic acid creatine kinase and lactate dehydrogenase level of 2 groups decreased significantly, while IgA and IgG levels increased significantly, and the observa-tion group was higher than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). Antipyretic time, hand foot skin rash subsided time and oral ulcer healing time of observation group were significantly shorter than those of control group, with statistical signifi-cance(P<0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2 groups during treatment. CONCLUSIONS:Kangfuxin liquid is effective in the treatment of hand, foot and mouth disease in children, and can effectively improve CRP,Ig,lactic acid, and myocardial enzyme level with good safety.

0 05).Among them,WT but neither DN, Blank, nor Pio significantly ameliorated the increased concentrations of TGF-a1 and fibro nectin in culture medium induced by HG. Compared with DN and Blank, WT transfect ion significantly attenuated high glucose-caused elevation in c-fos, c-jun and p-ERK expression, reduction in Ⅰ-?B level, and incretio n in nucleus/cytosol ratio of NF-?B, while Pio demonstrated similarly signific ant changes only in p-ERK and NF-?B. No significant difference of GLUT-1 mRN A level was detected between HG groups. Conclusions Overexpressed PPAR?1 can su ppress increased ECM production from glomerular mesangial cells cultured in HG c ondition. Its inhibitory effects on activation of ERK/AP-1 and NF-?B pathways are involved. The further increase of PPAR?activity may have direct anti-fibr otic effect in diabetic kidney.

Objective There is little population-based data on the prevalence and the environmental or genetic determinants of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in China. The purpose of this paper is to study LVH in relation to systolic blood pressure and the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) insertion/deletion(I/D) polymorphism in Chinese. Methods We recorded 12-lead ECG (CardioSoft, v4.2) in 1365 residents in the Jingning County, Zhejiang Province, China. LVH was defined according to the gender-specific Sokolow-Lyon and Comell product ECG criteria. Results Regardless of whether the Sokolow-Lyon or Comell product ECG criteria was used, the prevalence of LVH (20.7% and 4.8%, respectively) significantly (P<0.0001) increased with male gender (odds ratio [OR] 2.33 and 7.15) and systolic blood pressure (per 10 mm Hg increase, OR 1.46 and 1.33). If the Sokolow-Lyon criteria was used, the prevalence of LVH was also influenced by alcohol intake (OR 1.44, P=0.03) and body mass index (OR 0.83, P=0.0005). The association between the Sokolow-Lyon voltage amplitude and the ACE I/D polymorphism was dependent on antihypertensive therapy (P=0.01). In 1262 untreated subjects, but not 103 patients on antihypertensive medication, the ACE DD compared with Ⅱ subjects had significantly higher Sokolow-Lyon voltage amplitudes (29.8±0.6 vs. 28.0±20.5 mV, P=0.02) and higher risk of LVH (OR 1.74, 95% CI: 1. 12-2.69, P=0.01). Conclusion LVH is prevalent in Chinese, and is associated with systolic blood pressure and the ACE D allele. The genetic association might be modulated by antihypertensive therapy.
