Objective To sift out the optimized electric pulse parameters for electroacupuncture treatment for lower limb myatrophy and explore the mechanism of its treatment.Method A model of lower limb myatrophy was made in 40 SD rats. The rats were then randomized to groups A (model group without electroacupuncture), B (a pulse duration of 0.5 ms and a frequency of 2 Hz), C (a pulse duration of 200 msand a frequency of 2 Hz) and D (a pulse duration of 200 ms and a frequency of 1/2/3 Hz).Points Zusanli(ST36)and Chengshan(BL57)were given electroacupuncture for four courses of treatment.Thesciaticfunction index (SFI),gastrocnemius muscle wet weight ratio (GW), gastrocnemius muscle fiber cross-sectional area ratio (GC),gastrocnemius muscle cell diameter ratio (GD)and gastrocnemius muscle cell apoptosis index (AI)were determined.Result SFI, GW and GC increased significantly and AI decreased significantly in groups C and D compared with group A (P<0.05). AI decreased significantly in groups C and D compared with group B (P<0.05). AI decreased significantly in groups D compared with group C (P<0.05). Conclusion Apulse duration of 200 ms and a frequency of 1/2/3 Hz are the optimizedelectric pulse parametersfor electroacupuncture delaying myatrophy. Its mechanism is related to inhibiting myocyte apoptosis.

Objective To sift and optimize pulse width for electroacupuncture prevention and treatment of muscular atrophy. Method A model of lower limb muscle atrophy was made in 40 rats. They were randomized into groupsⅠ (no electroacupuncture),Ⅱ (a pulse width of 0.5 ms and a frequency of 2 Hz), Ⅲ (a pulse width of 100 ms and a frequency of 2 Hz) and Ⅳ (a pulse width of 200 ms and a frequency of 2 Hz). Points Zusanli (ST36) and Chengshan(BL57) were given electroacupuncture. Sciatic function index (SFI), gastrocnemius muscle wet weight ratio (GW), the cross-sectional area of gastrocnemius muscle fibers (GC), gastrocnemius muscle cell diameter (GD) and gastrocnemius muscle cell apoptosis index (AI) were used as indicators of therapeutic effect. Result Compared with group Ⅰ, SFI and GW increased significantly in groups Ⅲ and Ⅳ (P<0.05). Compared with groupsⅠ and Ⅱ, AI on the affected side decreased significantly in groups Ⅲ and Ⅳ (P<0.05). Conclusion The therapeutic effect of electroacupuncture is related to its pulse width. The pulse widths of 100 ms and 200 ms are significantly more effective than a pulse width of 0.5 ms from a conventional electroacupuncture device in preventing and treating muscular atrophy.

Objective:To study the operation pattern and valuable experiences of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, to improve the performance of technology innovation and transfer in the health field in China. Methods:Analyzing the data of basic structure, operation model and historical achievements of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft by literature review. As well as conducting summary analysis along with the status quo of innovation and transformation in the health field.Results:Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft sets up a bridge between basic research and technological innovation. By undertaking contract research mainly from industrial enterprises and offering technological research and solutions, Fraunhofer integrates resources of basic research, applied research and production innovation, breaking the barriers among actors of innovation and forming a mature and effective model of innovation and transfer. Conclusions:Technological innovation in the health field should appropriately transition to applied research, be demand-oriented and application-oriented. Only by combining the needs of clinical service and industrial technology and building an ecological aggregate can we improve the efficiency of innovation and transfer in the health field.

To investigate the clinical manifestations and risk factors in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and cancers. From October 2010 to February 2019, 5 566 SLE patients hospitalized in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were enrolled. A total of 69 cancer patients were identified, and the clinical characteristics and previous treatment were analyzed. Cervical carcinoma (21.74%, 15/69) and thyroid cancer (21.74%, 15/69) were the most common types of cancer. Most cancers were diagnosed in SLE patients with an age 40~50 years. The disease duration of SLE was from 60~120 months. SLE patients without cancers were usually diagnosed between 20~30 years with duration of symptoms less than 12 months. As to the previous treatment of SLE, the uses of glucocorticoid, cyclophosphamide, methotrexate and azathioprine were comparable between patients with cancers and without (
