Objective:To investigate the inhibitory effect and the related mechanism of Yiqi Jianpi Fang on aberrant crypt focus (ACF) in Wister rat colorectal cancer model.Methods:50 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:TCM low dose group(TCM solution diluted 3 times,5 mL/kg daily gastric volume),TCM middle dose group (5 mL/kg daily gastric volume),TCM high dose group (15 mL/kg daily gastric volume),model group,normal group.With 10 rats in each group.The colorectal tissues were observed under microscope after methylene blue staining by immunohistochemistry method.Results:Compared with the model group,the number of ACF and large ACF in each TCM group were decreased (P＜0.05),and the number of ACF in the TCM middle dose group reduced most obvious,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The proliferation indexs of PCNA in intestinal gland cells 24 h and 48 h after modeling in the TCM groups were higher than those in the model group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The apoptosis index of intestinal gland cells 24 h and 48 h after modeling in the TCM groups were higher than those in the model group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The ectopic expression of β-catenin in TCM groups were lower than that in the model group,and it was highest in the high dose group,than was the low dose group,and the middle group was lowest(P＜0.05).The expression of MMP-7 in TCM groups were lower than that in the model group,and it was highest in the low dose group,than was the high dose group,and the middle dose group was lowest (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Yiqi Jianpi Fang can significantly reduce the number of ACF in Wister rats,inhibit the activation of Wnt signaling in colorectal cancer,reduce the incidence of colorectal cancer,and have a certain preventive effect.

To investigate the effects and characteristics of Fuzheng Huayu recipe, a compound Chinese herbal medicine, and its decomposed therapies against hepatocyte apoptosis in mice with hepatic injury.

Objective:To identify monoclonal antibody McAb2 recognizing epitope of Fba of GAS.Methods:The overlapped peptides were synthesized and their abilities to bind McAb2 were detected by dot-ELISA.The predominance amino acids specific for McAb2 were screened using phage 7 peptide library.Results:The result by dot-ELISA analysis demonstrated that the synthetized peptide,amino-acid residues 100-112~(th),could bind McAb2 with high affinity.The predominance amino acids specific for McAb2 were ITPDL,which was located in 100-110~(th)aa of Fba by panning with phage 7 peptide library.Conclusion:The domain and the predominance amino acids of Fba recognized by McAb2 is determined.The results would contribute to the research of the role of Fba on the pathogenic mechanism of GAS,the identification of function of McAb2,and the development of epitope-peptide vaccine.

The overall impact of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) on individuals is multifaceted and it causes impairment not only in lungs but also in other organs,and even in psychological conditions that result in multiple symptomatic effects and poorer quality of life.Therefore,it is critical to e valuate patients'quality of life in the clinical practice.Besides modified Medical British Research Council (mMRC) and COPD assessment test (CAT),the clinical COPD questionnaire (CCQ),a self-administered questionnaire was also recommended by GOLD2013 to assess patients'health status.Compared to the wide spread use of mMRC and CAT,CCQ was paid less attention in our clinical work.This study focused on the development,reliability,validity and responsiveness of the CCQ among subjects with COPD.We found that CCQ was easily understood with good reliability,validity and responsiveness and the use of the CCQ should be promoted as a health status measurement in more countries and regions.

Objective: To forecast the risk distribution of inter-animal plague in Meriones unguiculatus effectively and provide scientific evidence for prevention and control of inter-animal plague, through studying the correlation between meteorological and environmental factors and inter-animal plague in Meriones unguiculatus. Methods: Positive data of plague bacterial culture in 30 epidemic source areas of Meriones unguiculatus in the Inner Mongolia plateau from 2005 to 2018, including detecting time, number of bacteria, latitude and longitude or detailed location, host type, were from the Chinese Disease Prevention and Control System Plague Prevention Management Information System and related professional institutions for plague prevention and treatment. Logistic regression was used to explore the relationship between the inter-animal plague and climate-related risk factors. The Maximum Entropy (Maxent) model was used to predict the habitat distributions of inter-animal plague, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to validate the model. Results: There were 11 climatic factors including annual mean temperature, isothermality, temperature seasonality, mean temperature of driest quarter, mean temperature of warmest quarter, mean temperature of coldest quarter, annual precipitation, precipitation seasonality, globcover, normalized difference vegetation index and slope, were related to the outbreak of plague among Meriones unguiculatus and included in the model (OR = 1.302, 0.455, 0.957, 0.930, 4.864, 0.179, 0.986, 1.126, 0.992, 0.981, 0.721, P < 0.01). The increase of annual mean temperature, mean temperature of warmest quarter and precipitation seasonality will increase the risk of animal plague in the plague foci of Meriones unguiculatus; the increase of isothermality, temperature seasonality, mean temperature of driest quarter, mean temperature of coldest quarter, annual precipitation, globcover, normalized difference vegetation index, and slope will reduce the risk of animal plague in the plague foci of Meriones unguiculatus. The areas under the curve (AUCs) of the Maxent model training data and test data were 0.988 and 0.985, the prediction effect of the model was better. The habitat distribution of Meriones unguiculatus plague mainly concentrated in the central and northern Ulanqab plateau, Ordos plateau, and eastern Hetao plain. Conclusions The use of Maxent model and climate data can predict the potential risks and spatial distribution of animal plague in Meriones unguiculatus; the results are accurate and reliable.

Orthopedic robots, as intelligent medical devices, have achieved good outcomes in clinical application in some orthopedic surgeries. Artificial intelligence (AI) has played an important role in the development of orthopedic robots due to its powerful capabilities of information processing and decision-making. The developing trends of orthopedic robotics are automation and intelligentization. Since AI has demonstrated great advantages in preoperative planning, an increasing number of researchers have been devoted to AI application in intraoperative navigation by an orthopedic robot. This paper outlines the exploratory efforts in applying AI technology to the intraoperative navigation assisted by an orthopedic robot, describes the advantages of AI in improving accuracy and reducing radiation, and forecasts research prospects in application of AI technology to orthopedic robots based on the current situation.

Objective To understand the serotype, drug resistance and pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) typing of Salmonella isolated from meat products in Hengyang from 2020 to 2022, so as to provide scientific data for the prevention and control of food-borne Salmonella infection in our city. Methods All 101 Salmonella isolated from meat products were serotyped, drug sensitivity tests were performed with micro broth dilution method, molecular typing was performed using PFGE, clustering analysis was performed with BioNumerics software, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 18.0 software. Results The total detection rate of Salmonella from meat sources in Hengyang City from 2020 to 2022 was 38.55% (101/262). Totally 23 different serotypes were detected in the 101 strains of Salmonella among which S. London (21.78%, 22/101),was the dominant serotypes. Seventy nine Salmonella strains showed different levels of drug resistance, with a multi drug resistance rate of 42.57% (43/101). Eighty nine different PFGE bands were found in the 101 strains of Salmonella, with a similarity of approximately 55% to 100%. Conclusion Different Salmonella Serotype are widely distributed, and the antibiotic resistance rate is very high. The PFGE map are polymorphic, and the homology of PFGE bands in Salmonella from different sources is relatively low.

Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease overlap (ACO) is a hot topic in recent years. Although the precise definition of ACO is still controversial, scholars have found that the patients with overlapping features of asthma and COPD have a worse prognosis and increased medical cost than those with asthma or COPD alone. Thus, there is a big challenge to have a better understanding and to manage these patients in clinical practice. To strengthen awareness of this type of patients, the Global initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) and Global initiative for asthma (GINA) in 2014 named them as " Asthma Chronic Obstructive Lung Overlap Syndrome" (ACOS), which was further revised to the Asthma Chronic Obstructive Lung Overlap (ACO) in the follow-up GINA guidelines (2017). In the updated version, it emphasized that ACO was not a separate disease. However, although the research on ACO has increased significantly in recent years, there are still many controversies, which includes the definition, diagnostic criteria and treatment therapies. In this review, we provide the recent advances in the diagnosis and an overview of available treatment for of ACO.

Femoral fracture is a common type of fracture in clinical practice, and poor fracture reduction may lead to malunion and dysfunction. At present, traditional reduction with manipulation and intramedullary nailing are the mainstream treatments, but there exist problems such as X-ray exposure or poor reduction. Fracture reduction robots are of positive significance in improving the safety of surgical treatment of femur fracture, avoiding repetitive operations and poor alignment, and shortening the patients′ postoperative recovery time. Navigation algorithm is the key to achieve the function of femoral repositioning. Understanding the advantages and disadvantages that various types of navigation algorithms demonstrated in femoral reduction applications is important for giving full play to the value of fracture reduction robots in femoral reduction. Therefore, the authors reviewed the research progress in existing robot navigation algorithms applied in femoral fracture repositioning from the following four aspects, including image alignment algorithm, algorithm for establishing the target pose of femoral repositioning, algorithm for compensating the mechanical error, and algorithm for path planning, hoping to provide a reference for the application and research of navigation algorithms of fracture reduction robots.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of antibacterial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) as an adjunct to subgingival scaling and root planning in the treatment of chronic periodontitis. Methods: This study followed medical ethics guidelines, and informed consent was obtained from all patients. Sixteen patients were recruited for this randomized split-mouth controlled trial. The control group underwent subgingival scaling and root planning (SRP), while the experimental group received subgingival scaling and root planing plus aPDT treatment using Perowave® with a toluidine blue O solution photosensitizer. The probing pocket depth (PD), recession, plaque index (PLI), bleeding index (BI) and proportion of positive sites of bleeding on probing (BOP) (BOP%) at all sites were examined at baseline (before treatment) and at 1, 3 and 6 months after treatment. Results: Follow-up was completed for 13 patients. On the control side, 356 teeth were tested at 2 136 sites. A total of 360 teeth on the test side and 2 160 sites were included in the study. Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the baseline indicators between the two groups. After treatment, both groups showed significant improvement in clinical parameters, including PD, PLI, BI, and BOP%,compared with baseline. At 3 months, the BOP% and PLI in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The improvement in BOP% and PLI in the experimental group was significantly greater than that in the control group 3 months after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion aPDT, as an adjuvant treatment to SRP for chronic periodontitis, can improve gingival bleeding and control periodontal inflammation in the early stage.
