BACKGROUND:Studies have suggested that interleukin-6 is crucial for inducing cel apoptosis after acute spinal cord injury. OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of interleukin-6 receptor monoclonal antibody combined with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s to treat acute spinal cord injury in rats. METHODS:Thirty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham group, model group (spinal cord injury group), treatment group 1 (interleukin-6 receptor monoclonal antibody transplantation group), treatment group 2 (bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel transplantation group), treatment group 3 (bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel+interleukin-6 receptor monoclonal antibody group), with six rats in each group. In the sham group, the spinal cord was only exposed with no injury, and in the other four groups, rat models of acute spinal cord injury were made using modified Al en’s method. Local injection treatment was performed in al the groups at 28 days after modeling. Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan (BBB) scoring and improved Tarlov scoring were used at 1 day before treatment and 1, 3, 7, 14, 28 days after treatment to test the hindlimb function. At 28 days after treatment, TUNEL method was used to detect cel apoptosis in the spinal cord. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Compared with the sham group, BBB scores and improved Tarlov scores were decreased significantly in the other four groups (P<0.05). At 7 days after treatment, the BBB scores and improved Tarlov scores in the treatment group 3 were significantly higher than those in the model group (P<0.05). At 14 days after treatment, the BBB scores and improved Tarlov scores in the treatment groups 1 and 2 were significantly higher than those in the model group (P<0.05);compared with the treatment group 2, the BBB score and improved Tarlov score were significantly increased in the treatment group 3 (P<0.05). Compared with the sham group, the number of apoptotic cel s was significantly increased in the other four groups (P<0.05);compared with the model group, the number of apoptotic cel s was significantly decreased in the three treatment groups (P<0.05);compared with the treatment group 2, the number of apoptotic cel s was significantly lower in the treatment group 3 (P<0.05). These findings indicate that the combined use of interleukin-6 receptor monoclonal antibody and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel transplantation is better than bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel transplantation alone in the treatment of spinal cord injury, and interleukin-6 receptor monoclonal antibody reduces cel apoptosis in spinal cord injury, which is of positive significance for preventing against acute spinal cord injury.

Objective To evaluate the value of multimodal MRI in differential diagnosis of lung squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. Methods Routine sequence, diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)and dynamic enhancement images about 1 6 squamous cell carcinoma and 21 adenocarcinoma patients were analyzed retrospectively.Taken a record about the size, edge, internal signal, enhancement types and apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)values when b=600 s/mm2,and the difference in the degree of pathological differentiation was studied. Results The average diameter of squamous cell carcinoma was (4.17±2.0)cm,while adenocarcinoma was (3.81±1.8)cm,lobulated and spiculation were the most common signs in both of them.Squamous cell carcinoma showed low T1signal in 12 cases(75%),low T2signal in 7 cases(43.7%),adenocarcinoma showed high T1signal in 10 cases(47.6%),high T2 signal in 14 cases(66.7%).Squamous cell carcinoma had lower ADC value than adenocarcinoma(1.27×10-3mm2/s vs 1.38×10-3mm2/s), and well differentiated tumors had higher ADC values than poor ones,it was statistically significant. The most common time-signal intensity curves were type A in squamous cell carcinoma(62.5%)and type B in adenocarcinoma(50%).Conclusion MRI findings of squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma are associated with the biological characteristics, squamous cell carcinoma has shorter T2signal and adenocarcinoma has shorter T1signal.Squamous cell carcinoma has lower ADC value than adenocarcinoma and is dominated by outflow curve (type A),these features are helpful in subtype and differential diagnosis.

Objective To investigate the characteristics and influencing factors of mental health status of permanent residents in Yichang, Hubei Province. Methods A total of 9 576 permanent residents aged 18 years and older from Yichang City were selected by a multistage random sampling method between June and October 2022. The PHQ-9 was used to assess the residents’ depressive symptoms, the GAD-7 was used to assess their anxiety symptoms, the ISI was used to assess their insomnia status, and the PCL-5 was used to assess their stress status. The influence factors of depression and anxiety were analyzed using χ2 test and logistic regression. Results A total of 9 122 valid questionnaires were completed. The detection rate of depression, anxiety, insomnia, and stress symptoms were 29.98%, 19.03%, 11.97% and 1.58%, respectively. Gender, education level, monthly family income, self-rated health status, mental health literacy level, total GAD-7 score, total ISI score, and total PCL-5 score were the main factors that caused residents' anxiety symptoms, while gender, education level, self-rated health status, total PHQ-9 score, total ISI score, and total PCL-5 score were the main factors that caused residents' anxiety symptoms. Conclusion The prevalence of depression and anxiety is high among the permanent residents in Yichang, while the situation of insomnia and stress is relatively good. Measures such as improving the level of mental health literacy can be taken to improve mental health level of residents in Yichang.
