Objective To study the effects of Shuanghuanglian Oral Solution (only for children) on general condition, body weight, food intake, growth and development, blood routine and pathologic changes of SD weanling rats; To provide experimental references for clinical safe medication. Methods SD weanling rats were randomly divided into control group,Shuanghuanglian (only for children) Oral Solution low-, medium- and high-dose group according to body mass, with 30 rats in each group. Each administration group was given corresponding amount of Shuanghuanglian Oral Solution (only for children) concentrated ointment for gavage, once a day, for 33 d. The toxicity of the rats during dosing period and recovery period (medicine withdrawal 25 d) was observed. Results There were no significant differences in general condition, individual development, organ mass and coefficient, and internal fixation and pathological findings of rats in administration groups during dosing period and recovery period. The body mass and food intake of female and male rats in the Shuanghuanglian Oral Solution high-dose group were lower than those in the control group. The blood routine test during dosing period showed that the lymphocyte ratio of female rats and male rats in Shuanghuanglian Oral Solution high-dose group decreased significantly, neutrophil ratio increased significantly, and then returned to normal level in recovery period. Conclusion Shuanghuanglian Oral Solution (only for children) concentrated ointment has no toxic effect on the whole body organs and tissues of juvenile rats, and the safety is good.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;18(4):557-561
Objective To evaluate surgical complications and outcomes based on prostate size in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) treated with plasmakinetic enucleation of prostate (PKEP).Methods A retrospective review was conducted of PKEP performed in 326 patients with BPH.According to the prostate size on preoperative transrectal ultrasonography measurement, patients were divided into three groups:groupl:<40ml (n =92),group2:40~80ml (n =155),and group3:>80ml (n =79).Intraoperative and perioperative parameters were evaluated.Patient perioperative data and postoperative outcomes were compared.Patients were followed up at 1,3,6 and 12 months after surgery.Early and late complications were recorded. Results There were significant differences among three groups regarding the mean operative time (P < 0.01) and the mean resected tissue weight (P < 0.01).However,enucleation efficiency (P < 0.01) in gm tissue per minute increased significantly as prostate size increased.Mean hemoglobin decrease (P >0.05),mean serum sodium decrease (P >0.05),mean postoperative irrigation time (P > 0.05),mean catheter time (P > 0.05) and mean hospital stay (P >0.05) did not differ significantly among three groups.Three groups had a similar and significant postoperative improvement in international prostate symptom score (IPSS),quality of life (QOL),maximum urine rate (Qmax),and post-void residual urine volume(PVR) independent of prostate size (P < 0.01),but no significant difference was found among three groups during 1,3,6 and 12-month follow-up (P > 0.05).Perioperative and postoperative complications did not depend on prostate size (P > 0.05).Conchsions Although patients with a larger BPH required significantly longer operation time in PKEP,prostate size did not affect perioperative and postoperative complications or micturition improvement.

Objective To study the differences in the inclination of lower incisors among the female patients with beautiful profiles in different vertical skeletal types so as to provide the clinical treatment design for a certain guiding. Methods 137 cephalometric films of female patients with beautiful profiles were selected and divided into three groups based on the vertical facial types(∠SNMP):small degree(n = 31),average degree(n = 89) and larger degree groups(n=17). The angles of∠L1/MP and∠L1/A-Pog were measured and treated with covari-ance analysis for detecting the differences between the groups. Results The index of L1-MP(°)was the smallest in the larger degree group, the largest in the small degree group and average in the average group, with significant differences between the three groups(F = 17.38,P < 0.001). There was no significant differences in ∠L1/A-Pog (°)(F=2.61,P>0.05). Conclusion Lower incisors have compensatory inclined lingually in the group of higher mandible angle, but labially in the group of lower mandible angle.

5 years, 1 for 3 years, 4 for less than 1 year. In addition, metastatic tumors to the spleen were found in 5 patients, splenectomy with or without combined resection of other organs was performed in all 5 patients. Conclusions Imaging examination is the main method of diagnosis for splenic tumors. Partial splenectomy is recommended for benign tumors. For malignant splenic tumors, surgery, as the main aspect of combined therapy, is required.

OBJECTIVEThe purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the results of flowcytometry analyses of different clinical stage, location, pathologic grade and cell origin of oral and maxillofacial non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), and the diagnostic value of flowcytometry analysis in lymphoma.
METHODThis study analyzed 50 oral and maxillofacial NHL cases and 10 reactive lymph nodes (formalin fixed and paraffin embedded) by flowcytometry (FCM).
RESULTSReactive lymph nodes were all diploid. The diploid rate of NHL was 54%, and aneuploidy rate was 46%. There was statistically significant difference between reactive lymph nodes and NHL in the DNA ploidy status and cell cycle data (SPF, CV, S + G2/M, DI). The S phase fraction (SPF) and S + G2/M had close relationship with the grade of NHL. SPF value and DNA ploidy status had no obvious relationship with the prognosis.
CONCLUSIONThe results suggested that the FCM had diagnostic value in NHL, especially when the morphological diagnosis was difficult. Although the cell cycle data had no prognostic value, SPF and SPF + G2/M can show the proliferative status of NHL, which can help clinical doctor select therapeutic method.

Objective:Select a suitable macroporous resin for the purification technic of total saponins from Panacis Japonici Rhizoma and determine the parameter of purification technic. Methods:Made the content of total saponins as the index, used static adsorption test and combined the adsorption kinetic parameters to select the type of macroporous resin. By using dynamic adsorption experiment to investigate the technical parameters of the purified macroporous resin extracted from Panacis Japonici Rhizoma. Then the preparation technic of the total saponins of Panacis Japonici Rhizoma was determined. Results:The D101 macroporous resin could absorpt and desorpt total saponins of Panacis Japonici Rhizoma effectively. The optimal purification parameters were as follow: the loading mass concentration was 0.1 g/ml (based on crude drug), and the loading volume was 100 ml (which means the loading volume of resin per ml was equivalent to 3.3 grams of crude drug). During the elution process, distilled water (3 BV) and 20% ethanol (3 BV) were used to remove impurity, and then 70% ethanol elution (6 BV) was used to enrich the total saponins. The flow rate of loading and elution was 0.5 ml/min. The transfer rate of total saponins could reache 85.6%. Conclusion:The D101 macroporous resin can effectively enrich and purify the total saponins of Panacis Japonici Rhizoma, which provides the scientific basis for the development and utilization of Panacis Japonici Rhizoma.
