Objective To investigate the status of professional identity of nursing undergraduates in different grades and to search for their different professional identity level, so as to establish a pertinent method on nursing education for promoting nursing undergraduates′professional identity. Methods By stratified sampling, a total of 286 nursing undergraduates from four grades in Dalian Medical University were surveyed by general information questionnaire and the Professional Identification Scale for Nurses. Results The average total scores of the professional identity of nursing undergraduates were (107.29±15.01) points. There was significant difference in the total score and the five dimensions of professional identity,F=5.625, 5.258, 7.459, 4.182, 6.891, 7.299, P<0.01. Professional identity score was on the rise along with the grade growth, but the score of grade two was significant lower than the other three grades, and the score showed an increase in grade three; grade, whether profession was consistent with their own interests or not, the reasons of choosing the profession were the important factors affecting professional identity of nursing undergraduates. Conclusions The professional identity score of nursing undergraduates is in medium level and remains to be improved. It is suggested that nursing educators should take corresponding measures according to different grades, own interest and physical and mental characteristics of the students, so as to improve their professional identity and lay the foundation for stability and sustainable development of the nursing team in the future.

Objective To investigate the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in regulated upon activation normal T cell expressed and secreted (RANTES) gene C-28G(RANTES C-28G),RANTES A-403G and Eotaxin-3 gene C +77T(Eotaxin-3 C+77T) with asthma in Han ethnic children. Methods The buccal mucosa swabs of 192 Han ethnic children with asthma (asthma group) were collected, and polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) was employed to detect the SNP loci of RANTES A-403G,C-28G and Eotaxin-3 C+77T.Besides,another 192 healthy subjects (aged 18 to 22 years) without sibship with those in asthma group were served as controls.Genotype and genotypic distribution between these two groups were analysed. Results There was no significant differences in genotype and genotypic distribution of SNP loci of RANTES A-403G and RANTES C-28G between asthma group and control group (P>0.05),while there were significant differences in genotypic distribution of Eotaxin-3 C+77T between these two groups. The frequency of Eotaxin-3 C+77T T/T genotype in asthma group was significantly higher than that in control group (32.3% vs 12.5%,OR=3.44,P=0.000). Conclusion Eotaxin-3 C+77T may be the asthma susceptible SNP loci for Han ethnic children, and Eotaxin-3 C+77T T/T is significantly related with the development of childhood asthma

We investigated the baseline brain activity level in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) by am plitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) based on resting-state functional MRI (fMRI). We examined 13 patients in the MDD group and 14 healthy volunteers in the control group by resting-state fMRI on GE Signa 3.0T. We calculated and compared the ALFF values of the two groups. In the MDD group, ALFF values in the right medial prefrontal were higher than those in control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.001). ALFF values in the left parietal in the MDD group were lower than those in control group with statistically significant differences (P < 0.001). This resting-state fMRI study suggested that the alteration brain activity in the right medial prefrontal and left parietal ALFF contributed to the understanding of the pathophysiological mechanism of MDD patients.

Objective To reveal the pathophysiological changes of sepsis, the plasma metabonomics of septic rats was determined and differential metabolites were determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Methods Male Spraguee-Dawley (SD) rats about 8 weeks were randomly divided into sham group (n = 18) and sepsis group (n = 24). Cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) was used to build sepsis model, while cecum was kept intact only in the sham group. 6 hours after the operation, rats were anesthetized, and blood was harvested through heart thoracotomy. Then the plasma metabonomics was detected by GC-MS and metabolic profile analysis was performed to find the relative differential metabolites. Results Principal component analysis (PCA) and partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) showed that the metabolic profiling of the sepsis group was significantly different from the sham group. 259 kinds of metabolites were got by GC-MS, and 69 kinds of differential metabolites were found between sham group and sepsis group, in which 23 differential metabolites were related to amino acid metabolism. Compared with sham group, the contents of putrescine, N-glutamic acid, hydroxynorvaline, 3-cyanuric acid, D-alanyl-D-alanine and urea in the plasma of septic rats increased significantly, which ratios of sepsis/sham group were 10.876, 6.394, 2.800, 2.226, 1.323, 1.203, respectively (allP < 0.05). On the other hand, the contents of oxygen generation of proline, citrulline, glutamine, su-beta-hydroxy aspartic acid, citric acid, N-methyl-DL-alanine, serine, lysine, threonine, N-formyl-L-methionine, methionine, alanine, nicotinuric acid, N-methyl-L-glutamic acid, trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline, proline, L-glutamic acid in the plasma of septic rats decreased significantly, which ratios of sepsis/sham group were 0.858, 0.853, 0.834, 0.816, 0.816, 0.814, 0.813, 0.801, 0.793, 0.792, 0.774, 0.766, 0.748, 0.727, 0.716, 0.674, 0.603, respectively (allP < 0.05).Conclusions Through the GC-MS analysis of plasma metabonomics of septic rats, we found abnormal energy metabolism changes. The content of amino acid in plasma might be a method to evaluate the energy metabolism status of sepsis.

Objective To study the changes of Young's modulus value of the renal cortex, vertebral body and sinus when there was a different degree of acute renal artery stenosis. Methods 10 Japanese white rabbits were used for this study. The left renal artery was dissected. An ultrasound probe was placed on the left kidney,Young's modulus of the renal cortex, vertebral body and sinus were recorded using shear wave ultrasound elastic imaging technique during three stages:when the renal artery was intact (0% stenosis),tied with a suture (> 50% stenosis),and ligated (100% stenosis).Renal tissue elasticity with different degrees of renal artery stenosis were compared.Pathological study was carried out in the kidneys, each with either 0%,> 50% or 100% renal artery stenosis. Results The mean values of Young's modulus from the renal cortex, vertebral body and sinus with different degrees of renal artery stenosis were as follows:0% stenosis,(16.31 ±1.70) kPa,(13.38± 1.63) kPa,and (12.75±2.26) kPa;> 50% stenosis,(14.16±2.34) kPa,(11.49±2.70) kPa,and (10.72±2.56) kPa;100% stenosis,(11.35 ± 1.48) kPa,(8.39± 1.29) kPa,and (7.08 ± 1.52) kPa.The mean value of Young's modulus from the renal cortex was significantly higher than those from the renal vertebral body and sinus (P < 0.05).The mean values of Young's modulus from different parts of the kidney decreased progressively with an increase in renal artery stenosis (P < 0.05).The pathological study demonstrated that with the increase in the severity of renal artery stenosis, glomerular volume, renal interstitial capillary diameter and red blood cells decreased. When renal artery stenosis reached 100%,there was patch degeneration and inflammatory cell infiltration within the renal interstitium, and mild degeneration of tubular epithelial cells with obscure cell borders. Conclusions The value of Young's modulus from the renal cortex was higher than those from the renal pyramid and sinus in rabbits. The values of Young's modulus from the renal cortex, pyramid and sinus decreased with an increase in the severity of renal artery stenosis, which suggest that,in the study of the elasticity of the kidney, the renal artery blood flow dynamic state can obviously affect the value of the elasticity of the kidney.

ObjectiveTo understand the relationship between mycoplasm load in bronchoalveolar lavage lfuid (BALF) with the status of Th1/Th2 immune response in children withMycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP).MethodsThe levels of IL-4, IFN, IL-8 , TNF-α in BLAF and total IgE, ECP in serum from 90 children with MPP were measured by ELISA.MP DNA in BALF was detected quantitatively by lfuorescent real-time PCR. Children with MPP (n=90) were divided into two groups of low MP-DNA load (n=24) and high MP-DNA load (n=26) according to the copies of MP DNA in BALF. The cytokines in BALF, and total IgE and ECP in serum were compared between the two groups. The relationship between the levels of cytokines in BLAF and the copies was evaluated.ResultsThe levels of IL-4 and the IL-4/IFN ratio in BALF from the high DNA-load group were signiifcantly higher than that of the low group (t=4.280, 2.076, allP<0.05). The level of IL-4 was signiifcantly correlated with the copies of MP-DNA in BALF from children with MPP (r=0.509,P<0.05). The percentage of total IgE and ECP positive result in serum from the high DNA-load group is higher than that of the low group. (χ2=24.638, 6.392,allP<0.05).Conclusion Infection with high-load MP in children may cause the imbalance of Th1/Th2. And the Th2 cytokines response seems predomi-nant.
