Objective: To study the relationship between vitamin A (VA) supplementation and the level of IgG antibody to measles strengthened vaccination. Method: Fifty-three school children aged 5-13 years were selected as the test group of VA supplementation, and fifty-two school children as the control group whose ages and sex matched with the test group. The test group was supplicd po the VA pills (2 500IU) at the same time with measles strengthened vaccination for one month. The level of serum VA was analyzed by HPLC. Measles antibody IgG was detected by ELISA. Results: One month after VA supplementation, sernm VA in test group was 376.5?74.2 ?g/L, showing statistical increase over before. The positive rates of measles antibody in the test group were increased from 69.8% to 100%, and the protective rate from 5.6% to 60.4%. The positive rates of measles antibody in the control group were increased from 71.2% to 100%, and the protective rates from 0% to 17.4%. The protective rate in the test group was statistically higher than the control. Conclusion: Simultaneous VA supplementation (especially for the children of VA deficiency) and measles strengthened vaccination contribute to the increase of measles antibody IgG in school children.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of mono-2-ethylhexyl phthalate(MEHP) on proliferation of primary neural stem cells(NSCs)of rats and NE-4C cells of mice and on the migration of NE-4C cells and the mechanism. METHODS NE-4C or NSCs were treated with MEHP 1,10,100 and 1000 μmol · L-1 for 72 h,respectively. The cytotoxicity was estimated with the cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8). Cell proliferation was analyzed by EdU assay. The mRNA expression levels of the glucocorticoid receptor(GR),signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(Stat3)and sex determining region Y (SRY)-box 2(Sox2) were detected by qRT-PCR. The protein expression levels of total GR,GRβ, Sox2,Stat3 and p-Stat3 were measured by Western blotting. RESULTS Cell viability of NE-4C cells and NSCs at MEHP 1000μmol·L-1 was significantly decreased, which was 70.3%and 40.0%of the control group, respectively. EdU assay showed that MEHP 100 μmol · L-1 decreased NE-4C cells and NSCs by 74.8%and 12.0%(P<0.05)compared with control. The effect of MEHP on the cell migration of NE-4C was evidenced by the fact that the migration was obviously reduced to (63.4±2.0)%(P<0.05)after treatment with MEHP 100μmol · L-1 for 72 h. The mRNA expression levels associated with proliferation and migration in NE-4C of GR,Stat3 and Sox2 in MEHP 100 μmol · L-1 group were down-regulated to 49.8%,26.0% and 14.0%of control(P<0.05). At MEHP 100μmol · L-1,mRNA of GR, Stat3 and Sox2 in NSCs declined to 10.0%,14.0% and 15.3% of normal control. Western blotting results revealed that protein expressions of GR,GRβ,Sox2 and p-Stat3 were remarkably inhibited by MEHP 100 μmol · L-1 in that the relative expression of NE-4C was 0.92 ± 0.17,0.87 ± 0.35,0.81 ± 0.22 and 0.62 ± 0.24(P<0.05). The corresponding protein expression in NSCs was 0.82 ± 0.20,0.56 ± 0.12,0.84 ± 0.36 and 0.53 ± 0.20(P<0.05)when the cells were treated with MEHP 100μmol · L-1 for 72 h. CONCLUSION MEHP can inhibit the proliferation and migration of NE-4C cells and NSCs possibly by decreasing Stat3 and Sox2 that are mediated by GRβ.

The dynamic changes of synchronous 12-lead ECG signal's correlation dimension (D2) of an anesthetized rabbit were investigated primarily under three different pathologic conditions. The results showed that the D2 derived from different lead signals was not a constant whether the rabbit was in normal state or in emergent myocardial infarction condition, it demonstrated distribution characteristic. Compared with the same lead signal, D2 of limb lead almost kept constant, D2 of chest lead got higher when the sphere of emergent ischemia extended larger. D2 showed the potential application in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of intravenous infusion of tranexamic acid(TXA)on perioperative blood loss in geriatric patients with hip fracture. Methods:In this retrospective study, 54 out of 95 patients with hip fracture aged from 65 years to 100 years, treated at the Department of Trauma and Osteology, West China Hospital of Sichuan University from June 2020 to June 2021 were finally enrolled.Their clinical data were collected. All patients underwent closed reduction PFNA surgery. They were divided into three groups: (1)Control group(n=18): intravenous infusion of normal saline at 30 min before surgery; (2)Single dose group(n=18): TXA(25 mg/kg)was intravenously injected at 30min before surgery; (3)multiple dose group(n=18): 25 mg/kg of TXA was intravenously injected at 30 min before surgery and 15 mg/kg injected again at 3 h and 6 h after surgery.Total blood loss and the incidence of postoperative deep venous thrombosis among 3 group patients were compared. Results:There were no statistically significant differences in gender, age, preoperative platelets, preoperative activated partial thrombin time and preoperative prothrombin time among control group, single dose group and multiple dose group(all P>0.05). Perioperative blood loss was estimated to be 620(330, 1080)ml, 380(270, 490)ml and 520(190, 750)ml in the control group, single dose group and multiple dose group, respectively, with statistical significance( H=8.666, P<0.05). Total blood loss in single dose group was less than in both control( P<0.05, with statistical significance)and in multiple groups( P>0.05, without statistical significance), and total blood loss in multiple dose group was lower than in control( P>0.05, without statistical significance), and higher than in single dose group( P>0.05, without statistical significance). Color ultrasonography was performed on the 1 st and 7 th day after surgery in 3 groups, and no deep venous thrombosis or pulmonary embolism was found in all groups. Conclusions:Intravenous infusion of TXA at half an hour before surgery can effectively reduce the total peri-operative blood loss without increasing the risk of thrombosis.A multiple preoperative intravenous drip of TXA should be cautious as compared with a single preoperative intravenous drip of TXA.

Objective:To explore the relationship between the level of C-reactive protein/serum albumin ratio (CAR) and early postoperative anastomotic leakage in patients with colorectal cancer. Methods:From September 2016 to September 2019, all colorectal cancer patients who were treated in gastrointestinal surgery of Jinjiang hospital in Fujian Province were collected for retrospective analysis. The baseline data of the patients were collected. The blood C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT) and serum albumin (ALB) were monitored on the first, third, fifth and seventh days after operation, and the results were statistically analyzed. Results:There was no significant difference in baseline data such as age, body mass index (BMI), operation time and intraoperative hemorrhage between the anastomotic leakage group and the non anastomotic leakage group ( P>0.05), but the hospitalization time of the anastomotic leakage group was longer than that of the non anastomotic leakage group ( P<0.05). The CRP level on the 3rd and PCT level on the 5th day after operation in the anastomotic leakage group were higher than those in the non anastomotic leakage group, with significant difference ( P<0.05). The CAR value on the 3rd and 5th day after operation in the anastomotic leakage group was higher than those in the non anastomotic leakage group with significant difference ( P<0.05). Conclusions:CAR can predict early anastomotic leakage in patients with colorectal cancer.
