OBJECTIVE:
To study the therapeutic effects of the specific immunotherapy (SIT) on allergic rhinitis and allergic rhinitis combined bronchial asthma. METHED: All patients were classified into allergic rhinitis group (AR group) with 32 patients and allergic rhinitis combined bronchial asthma group (AR+BA group) with 32 patients. Another health control group with 32 cases was designed as well. The allergens, symptom scores and therapeutic effects of the former two-group patients were analysis, and the serums of all three-group cases were extracted to evaluate the specific Immunoglobin E(sIgE), Interleukin-4 (IL-4). The SPSS13. 0 package was applied to conduct t-test and chi-square test, and the difference of P<0. 05 was regarded as statistical significance.
RESULT:
The main allergens of 64 patients were dermatophagoides farinae and dermatophagoides pteronyssinus. The improvement of symptom scores before and after SIT was statistical significant with P<0. 05. Although total effective rate reached 100% , AR group was superior than AR+BA group in term of the efficacy comparison, and P<0. 05 indicated the statistical significance. The serum sIgE, IL-4 values of three groups were brought into comparison, and P<0. 05 indicated the statistical significance of the difference.
CONCLUSION
The SIT on the AR, AR+BA is a safe and effective treatment, but different disease responds diversely. The long-term treatment course is recommended.

Objective To explore the effect of inhibiting Akt phosphorylation on tumor necrosis factor related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL)-induced apoptosis of human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) H1299 cells with wild type EGFR and KRAS.Methods The TRAIL-induced apoptosis was examined by the Annexin V-FITC/PI.The expressions of TRAIL-activated Akt phosphorylation and p-Akt were measured by Western blot. After cells were treated with LY294002, an inhibitor of PI3K-Akt pathway, Annexin V-FITC/PI and Western blot were used to analyze the alteration of TRAIL-induced apoptosis and Akt phosphorylation, respectively. Results H1299 cells were not sensitive to TRAIL-induced apoptosis. When TRAIL concentration was 100 ng/ml, the apoptosis rate of the test group was significantly higher than that of the control group [(15.06±1.29) % vs (3.56±0.50) %, t =66.953, P =0.000].When TRAIL concentration was 500 ng/ml, the difference was not statistically significant compared with apoptosis rate of 100 ng/ml TRAIL group [(18.65±2.09) % vs (15.06±1.29) %, t =2.423, P =0.136].The expression level of Akt phosphorylation in H1299 cells was increased by TRAIL in a time-dependent way. When cells were pretreated with LY294002, TRAIL-induced Akt phosphorylation was suppressed to baseline level. At the same time, the apoptosis rate in LY294002-treated group was significantly higher than that in TRAIL group [(41.65±4.62) % vs (15.82±0.61) %, t =39.028, P =0.001].Conclusions TRAIL-induced Akt phosphorylation can antagonize TRAIL-induced apoptosis.Inhibition of Akt phosphorylation can significantly enhance the sensitivity of NSCLC H1299 cells with wild type EGFR and KRAS to TRAIL-induced apoptosis.

Objective To summarize the experience of adjuvant therapy for primary hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods 316 cases of operable hepatocellular carcinoma were divided into three groups. Only hepatectomy were performed in group one (21 8cases).Preopemtive adjuvant TACE were done in group two (52 cases). Preoperative adjuvant TACE and postoperative trans-portal vein chemotherapy were done in group three (46 cases), which was named hepatectomy sequencing two vessel therapy. Results 1, 3 and 5 year survival rote were 51.2 %, 30.0 % and 20.5 % respectively in group one, 57.2 %, 43.0 % and 31.5 % in group two, 84.0 %, 62.5 % and 51.0 % in group three. The postoperative disease-free survival rate in group three was significantly higher than that in group one and group two (P <0.05). Conclusion Hepatectomy sequencing two vessels therapy in perioperative period might improve the survival rate, which can prevent and delay the incidence of recurrence and may improve the effect of liver resection.

Objective: To study the antihyperglycemic effect of flavonoids from seed (FSH) and fruit(FFH) of Hippophae rhamnoides L.on diabetic rats induced by streptozotocin (STZ). Methods: The STZ-induced diabetic rats were randomly divided into four groups and were given intragastrically (ig) water, metformin, FSH and FFH respectively once a day. After four weeks, the levels of serum glucose, fructosamine, lipid, protein, GSH and lactic acid (LD) were assayed. Results: FSH could reduce the levels of serum glucose, fructosamine and triglyceride significantly, increase the contents of serum total protein and albumin obviously, enhance the ability of antioxidation in STZ-induced diabetic rats. FSH also could decrease food and water intake of diabetic rats evidently. But FSH had little effect on LD, LDH, glycogen and body weight in diabetic rats. FFH was not as good as FSH. Conclusion: FSH is antihyperglycemic , and can improve the metabolic derangements of STZ- induced diabetic rats.

In this experiment the data of the infrared radiation spectrum of acupoints in human body were obtained through an ingenious device. In thirty-one healthy volunteer subjects and thirty-one patients suffering from coronary heart disease, we detected the infrared radiation spectra from some acupoints and compared them with those of the healthy subjects. The curves of patients showed more differences. After analyzing the data, we noted statistically significant differences in some fields between the healthy subjects and the patients. And after reducing the data, we observed significant differences in larger fields. So utilization of reduced data from patients for analysis is our choice.
