To establish a method for the determination of formaldehyde and glyoxal simultaneously in varenicline tartrate active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and its intermediate, formaldehyde and glyoxal were derivatized by 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-DNPH) to improve the HPLC retention and UV detection sensitivity. Separation was performed on a C8 (150 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) column by linear gradient elution using acetonitrile and water as the mobile phase; the detective wavelength was set at 380 nm.Formaldehyde and glyoxal were quantitatively determined by an external reference method.Linear calibration was established for both formaldehyde and glyoxal in the range from 0.094 to 1.88 μg/mL.The detection and the quantification limits were 0.047 μg/mL (19 μg/g) and 0.094 μg/mL (38 μg/g), respectively. The recoveries were (95.0±1.1)% and (99.4 ± 2.6)% for formaldehyde and glyoxal, respectively. This method has been fully validated to be applicable to quantitative analysis of trace amount of formaldehyde and glyoxal in varenicline tartrate API and its intermediate.Test results demonstrated that the contents of both formaldehyde and glyoxal met the permitted daily exposure (PDE) limits for the finished products of varenicline tartrate API as well as its intermediate, though the glyoxal contents in the crude intermediates were likely to exceed the limit. The established method is valuable for the manufacturing process and quality control of varenicline tartrate.

Objective:
To explore the effects of grandparent involvement in parenting on health related behaviors among urban preschool children, so as to provide a basis for the development of interventions for unhealthy behaviors among preschool children with different parenting pattern.
Methods:
A total of 5 431 preschool children aged 3-6 years old in Xinbei District, Changzhou City, were selected by census method during January to October, 2022. General household characteristics and health related behaviors of children were investigated by questionnaires, and the differences in health related behaviors with different parenting pattern involving grandparents were explored by the χ 2 test. A multifactorial Logistic regression model was used to analyze the effects of grandparenting on preschool children s health behaviors.
Results:
About 51.2% of preschoolers were raised by both parents, 46.1 % were co parented by grandparents, and 2.7% were raised by grandparents. After multifactorial Logistic regression analysis controlling for age, gender, annual household income, and family structure, children co parented by grandparents had a reduced risk of screen exposure time>1 h/d ( OR =0.79, P <0.05), with increased risks of outdoor activity time<2 h/d ( OR =1.30, P < 0.05 ), sleep duration <10 h/d ( OR =1.31, P <0.05), sleep difficulties ( OR =1.39, P <0.05) and adverse eating behaviors ( OR =1.20, P < 0.05), compared with children parented by both parents. Children raised by grandparents were at increased risk for outdoor activity time<2 h/d ( OR =2.19) and unhealthy eating behaviors ( OR =1.39) ( P <0.05).
Conclusions
Compared with children raised by both parents, the incidence of unhealthy behaviors is increased in children raised by parents and grandparents and in children raised by full grandparents. Active intervention should be focused on unhealthy behaviors of preschool children with pareting involving grandparents to promote the physical and mental health of preschool children.

Objective:
To provide an automatic method for segmentation and diameter measurement of type B aortic dissection (TBAD).
Materials and Methods:
Aortic computed tomography angiographic images from 139 patients with TBAD were consecutively collected. We implemented a deep learning method based on a three-dimensional (3D) deep convolutional neural (CNN) network, which realizes automatic segmentation and measurement of the entire aorta (EA), true lumen (TL), and false lumen (FL). The accuracy, stability, and measurement time were compared between deep learning and manual methods. The intra- and inter-observer reproducibility of the manual method was also evaluated.
Results:
The mean dice coefficient scores were 0.958, 0.961, and 0.932 for EA, TL, and FL, respectively. There was a linear relationship between the reference standard and measurement by the manual and deep learning method (r = 0.964 and 0.991, respectively). The average measurement error of the deep learning method was less than that of the manual method (EA, 1.64% vs. 4.13%; TL, 2.46% vs. 11.67%; FL, 2.50% vs. 8.02%). Bland-Altman plots revealed that the deviations of the diameters between the deep learning method and the reference standard were -0.042 mm (-3.412 to 3.330 mm), -0.376 mm (-3.328 to 2.577 mm), and 0.026 mm (-3.040 to 3.092 mm) for EA, TL, and FL, respectively. For the manual method, the corresponding deviations were -0.166 mm (-1.419 to 1.086 mm), -0.050 mm (-0.970 to 1.070 mm), and -0.085 mm (-1.010 to 0.084 mm). Intra- and inter-observer differences were found in measurements with the manual method, but not with the deep learning method. The measurement time with the deep learning method was markedly shorter than with the manual method (21.7 ± 1.1 vs. 82.5 ± 16.1 minutes, p < 0.001).
Conclusion
The performance of efficient segmentation and diameter measurement of TBADs based on the 3D deep CNN was both accurate and stable. This method is promising for evaluating aortic morphology automatically and alleviating the workload of radiologists in the near future.
