OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of pharmaceutical care on blood glucose control and medication compliance in patients with diabetes mellitus. METHODS:Nighty-two discharged patients with diabetes mellitus in our hospital from Apr. to Sept. 2015 were divided into intervention group and control group by random number table method, with 46 cases in each group. Both groups were given Chlorpropamide tablets+Metformin glibenclamide tablets(Ⅰ)for 3 months;intervention group additionally re-ceived pharmaceutical care as medication education, telephone follow-up,etc. The levels of glycosylated hemoglobin and blood glu-cose,medication compliance were compared between 2 groups before and after treatment. RESULTS:Before treatment, there was no statistical significance in the levels of glycosylated hemoglobin and blood glucose,or medication compliance between 2 groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of glycosylated hemoglobin and blood glucose in 2 groups were significantly decreased, and the intervention group was significantly lower than control group;the effects of blood glucose control in patients younger than 60 years old were better than in patients older than 60 years old, with statistical significance(P<0.05). After one month of treatment, the proportion of good medication compliance were increased significantly in 2 groups, and the intervention group was significantly higher than control group. After 3 months of treatment, the proportion of good medication compliance in 2 groups were significant-ly higher than before treatment, and 1 month after treatment, while the intervention group was significantly higher than control group. The improvement of medication compliance in patients younger than 60 years old was better than in patients older than 60 years old, with statistical significance (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Pharmaceutical care contributes to blood glucose control and improves the medication compliance, especially for those younger than 60 years old.

Objective To investigate the influence of physiological motions on three-dimensional (3D) CT images and the rules of motion artifacts. Methods A mathematical model of motion artifact was set up based on the principle of spiral scanning, hereby the geometrical distortion of 3D image was analyzed.Experiments were carried out with home-made phantoms on a CT scanner. Results The details of 3D images with trivial distortion were legible under static condition. On the contrary, distinct distortion occured under moving condition, and its degree increased with the pitch and motion period. The 3D images were varied with difference of the motion initial phases. Conclusion The distortion of 3D-CT image depends on the motion characters of scanned objects and scanning parameters such as pitch and slice thickness.

Objective To explore the safe technique of caudate lobectomy for liver cancer in candafe lobe(LCCL).Methods The clinical data of 11 cases of primary liver cancer in caudate lobe who received hepatectomy successfully were retrospectively analyzed. four procedures were used in the operations:(1)selection of appropriate skin incision, so as to obtain excellent exposure of operative field;(2)adequate mobilization of the liver to allow the liver to be displaced upwards to the left or to the right;(3)preparatory placement of tapes for total hepatic vascular isolation,so that this procedure can be used when necessary;(4)selection of the ideal route for hepatectomy based on the condition of the tumor and, if necessary, the combined removal of multiple lobes. Among the 11 cases, simple occlusion of vessels of porta hepatis was used for candate lobectomy in 6 cases, while, in the other cases, the vessels were intermittently occluded several times or total hepatic vlascular isolation was used for the caudate lobectomy. combined partial right hepatectomy was done in 2 cases, combined left lateral lobectomy in 3 cases and caudate lobectomy alone in 6 cases. Results Operation was smooth and successful in all of the 11 cases, and there was no mortality. Conclusions Caudate lobectomy for LCCL can be safely performed when the above procedures are used.

AIM: To study the role of c-myc oncogene in L6565 leukemia oncogenesis and the effects of therapy by inhibition of its expression with antisense c-myc. METHODS: A recombinant retroviral vector containing antisense c-myc of the murine (pGNCas)was constructed and then transfected into PA317 cells by the method of calcium phosphate precipitation. L6565 clone cells were infected with retrovirus particles. Stable integretion of antisense c-myc was shown by PCR. The change of the malignance and phenotype of L6565as were detected by the examination of the growth, morphology, cells cycle, agar assay and expression of c-myc. RESULTS: The shape of most L6565as cells became spherical. The growth of L6565as was inhibited compared to control cells. The analysis of cells cycle: L6565as cells were arrest in G 0/G 1 phase, decreased in S phase. The ability of L6565as cells to form colony in soft agarose was significantly suppressed. c-myc in L6565as cells was lowly expressed. CONCLUSION: (1)c-myc plays a critical role in L6565 leukemia oncogenesis; (2)Inhibition of expression of c-myc makes partly reversion of malignant phenotype of L6565 murine leukemia clone cells.
