Objective:To establish the quality standard for Aitongxiao granules. Methods:TLC was used to identify Herba Hedy-otis Diffusa, Herba Scutell Barbatae, Radix Astragali and Radix Paeoniae Rubra in Aitongxiao granules, and the content of scutellarin was determined by HPLC. The stationary phase was a Kromasial C18 column (250 mm × 4. 6 mm,5μm), the mobile phase was metha-nol-3% acetic acid (33∶67), the flow rate was 1. 0 ml·min-1, the detection wavelength was at 335 nm, and the temperature was 25℃. Results:The characteristic TLC spots of the granule samples were the same as those of the standard samples without any inter-ference from the negative control. Scutellarin had a good linear relationship within the range of 2.18-10.90μg·ml-1(r=0.999 9), and the average recovery was 96. 65% with RSD of 1. 45﹪(n=6). Conclusion:The method is simple, accurate, reliable and repro-ducible, which could be used in the quality control of Aitongxiao granules.

The macroscopy and ultrasondgraphy analysis for thirty reseeted specimens of esophageal carcinoma proved by pathology was reported in this paper. The ultrasonic features of esophageal carcinoma as follows:the local wails became thicker, their layers were unclear or disap-peared,the normal walls were insteaded of irregular masses with hypoechoic patterns, the borders of the masses were definite or indefinite, and the posterior echoes of the masses had little change. In addi-tion,the depth of tumor invasion Was compared by the ultrasonography and pathology. The ultrasonic features of the esophageal walls without tumor were also described.

The resection can be performed in about 20 percent of patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma(PHC) in clinic. However, with the development of interventional treatment such as transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE), better therapeutic effect has been achieved by two-stage resection such as TACE in patients with unresectable PHC. At present, surgical resection is still regarded as the first choice of PHC, and the principle of comprehensive therapeutic solutions around surgical operation has been established. The pretreatment of TACE is an important measure to improve the therapeutic effect in PHC.This paper discussed the mechanism, effect and value of TACE in pretreatment of unresectable PHC. The selection of operative opportunity, sign, and ways after TACE and the factors affecting prognosis of two-stage resection were also reviewed.

Massive hemoptysis is one of the most dreaded of all respiratory emergencies and can have a variety of underlying causes. It is mostly caused by bleeding from bronchial circulation. Bronchial artery embolization is now considered to be the treatment of choice for acute massive hemoptysis. Bronchial artery embolization (BAE) is a safe and effective nonsurgical treatment for patients with massive hemoptysis. However, nonbronchial systemic arteries can be a significant source of massive hemoptysis and a cause of recurrence after successful BAE. So knowledge of the bronchial artery anatomy, together with an understanding of the pathophysiologic features of massive hemoptysis, are essential for planning and performing BAE in affected patients. In addition, interventional radiologists should be familiar with the techniques, results, efficacy, safety and possible complications of BAE and with the characteristics of the various embolic agents. Bronchial arterial catheterisation in human via a percutaneous approach has been practiced for 32 years (1973) in the world and 20 years (1986) in China, initially for direct chemotherapy treatment for bronchial malignancies and then for the embolization of patients with massive haemoptysis. A review of clinical experience to evaluate technique, embolic materials, outcome and complications of BAE is presented.

AIM: To study the influence of injection agent of pidotimod on function of the immune-system in normal and immune-depressed mice, and to investigate the mechanisms of the immunomodulating action of pidotimod. METHODS: The expressions of TNF-? and IL-6 in mice spleen was detected by RT-PCR method. The effects of pidotimod on phagocytosis functions of mice peritoneal exudate cells was investigated by neutral red phagocytosis. The lymphocyte proliferations induced by Con A or LPS were detected by MTT method. Adopt the serum haemolysis to measure the production of serum antibody. RESULTS: The normal and immune-depressed mice were treated for 14 days with different dosages of pidotimod by injection. Pidotimod can significantly increase the expressions of TNF-? and IL-6 of spleen, potentiate phagocytosis of the peritoneal exudate cells, potentiate the lymphocyte proliferations ability induced by Con A or LPS. CONCLUSION: Pidotimod can potentiate amelioration normal and immune-depressed mice immunesystem function and increase expressions of TNF-? and IL-6 of spleen.

OBJECTIVETo compare the antitussive activity of three kinds of Stemonae Radix specified in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, including roots of Stemona sessilifolia, S. japonica and S. tuberosa.
METHODThe antitussive activity was determined in mouse after cough induction by ammonia aerosol stimulation and the number of cough in 2 min were detected with codeine as positive control.
RESULTAll the decoctions, the total alkaloid fractions and non-alkaloid fractions of S. sessilifolia, S. japonica and three chemical types of S. tuberosa showed significant antitussive effect and exhibited a dose-dependent inhibition of coughing. The ED50 values showed that the antitussive activity strength for both total alkaloid fractions and the decoctions are: S. tuberosa (Type I) > S. sessilifolia > S. japonica. The total alkaloid fractions had more potent atitussive activity than the decoctions and non-alkaloid fractions. The antitussive activity strength for the three chemical types of S. tuberosa is: Type I > Type III > Type II. The samples from different producing areas for the same species of Stemonae Radix had no significant differences in antitussive activity. The result also showed that the honey-processed slice had much stronger antitussive activity than raw slice.
CONCLUSIONThe antitussive efficacies of Stemonae Radix were influenced by chemical diversity both in same species and among different species, different fractions and processed method.

Objective To explore the feasibility of low concentration contrast medium and low-voltage combined with adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction(ASRI)technique in enhanced CT imaging of solitary pulmonary nodules. Methods A total of 40 patients with solitary pulmonary nodules who underwent routine exam-inations and were pathologically confirmed from February 2015 to February 2017 were collected and divided into conventional group(conventional dose, high osmolar contrast, using filtered back projection reconstruction)and low dose group(low voltage, low concentration isotonic contrast, iterative reconstruction). Results Subjective scoring of conventional group(3.97 ± 0.57)and low dose group(4.01 ± 0.54)indicated no statistical significance (P > 0.05). No significant difference was found regarding to reconstructed image quality,SNR and CNR in both two groups. The dose length product(DLP)and effective dose(ED)in low dose group were lower than those in the conventional group[(283.52 ± 11.50)mGy/cm vs(370.74 ± 29.56)mGy/cm;(3.65 ± 0.32)mSV vs(5.11±0.25) mSV],and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). Conclusions Low concentration isotonic con-trast agent(iodixanol 270 mgI/L)and low voltage(100 kV)combined with ASIR technology could satisfy the clini-cal need in enhanced CT imaging of solitary pulmonary nodule.
