2.Analysis of the low polarity components from Poly gonum paleaceum by GC-MS

Objective To investigate the low polarity compounds from Polygonum paleaceum Wall .Methods The ethyl alcohol extracts of Polygonum paleaceum Wall were extracted with petroleum ether .The components were separated and iden-tified by GC-MS and elucidated by the comparison with the standard mass spectral data .The relative contents in percentage were calculated using the area normalization method .Results 40 compounds were identified .Naphthalene and (E)-9-octadece-noic acid ethyl ester were the main components .Conclusion The low polarity components of Polygonum paleaceum Wall were mainly consisted of naphthalene and (E)-9-octadecenoic acid ethyl ester (27 .02% ) ,along with hexadecanoic acid (4 .18% ) , 13 ,27-cycloursan-3-one (2 .55% ) and cis-11-eicosenoic acid (1 .31% ) .
3.Investigation and analysis of 3021 cases of occupational hand injury in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou

Objective:To investigate the causes and characteristics of occupational hand trauma in Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou, and to provide basis for formulating preventive measures and treatment.Methods:In July 2020, 3021 patients with occupational hand injury treated in Xiaoshan District from January 2017 to December 2019 were selected as the research object. The data of gender, age, injury month and time period of patients with occupational hand injury were collected, and their relationship with the causes of injury was analyzed.Results:Among 3021 patients with occupational hand trauma in Xiaoshan District, most of them were men (male to female ratio 2.05∶1) , and the proportion of injuries from 18 to 30 years old was relatively high (1508 cases, 49.92%) . The proportion of patients with cutting injury was high (1208 cases, 39.99%) , most of the injuries were at the distal end of metacarpophalangeal joint (2118 cases, 70.11%) , the proportion of injuries in summer was relatively high (1225 cases, 40.55%) . Most of them were injured from 8:00 to 16:00 every day (1684 cases, 55.74%) , of which 11:00-12:00 accounted for 29.46% (890 cases) . The excellent and good rate of functional recovery in all patients was 85.10% (2571/3021) . There were significant differences in the distribution of injury causes among patients with occupational hand trauma in different gender, age and seasons ( P<0.01) . Conclusion:In Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou, there are many cases of cutting injuries in patients with occupational hand injuries, with high incidence in summer and 11:00-12:00. Enterprises should strengthen the supervision and management of relevant time periods, especially to prevent the occurrence of cutting injuries.

5.Further exploration on TCM properties of the foreign Chinese materia medica of Mirabilis Radix

Mirabilis jalapa L. is a plant of the family of Miraceae, native to tropical America and introduced to China during the Ming Dynasty. Its main medicinal part is the root. After sorting, it was found that the research on the medicinal properties of the Mirabilis Radixis incomplete, and the records of medicinal properties do not fully match the current application, and there is a situation of "the raw and processed for different treatments". This study further explored its medicinal properties. The Mirabilis Radix is bitter, pungent, and slight cold; belonging to the bladder, liver, and stomach meridians; it has the functions of clearing heat and dampness, detoxifying and reducing swelling, promoting blood circulation and regulating menstruation, dispelling wind and dampness, and nourishing yin. It was taken orally, with decoction, and adults should take 15-30 g, not in the form of original powder. People with spleen and stomach deficiency and cold should take it with caution, and pregnant women should not take it; for external use, an appropriate amount of fresh products should be applied and mashed. Processed Mirabilis Radix, recorded by Tujiazu medicine and Uyghur medicine, after boiling or steaming, the medicinal properties change and the nourishing effect is enhanced, but there is a lack of relevant research. Further exploration of the medicinal properties of the Mirabilis Radix can provide reference for clinical application, standard improvement, and product development.
6.Analysis of articles published in Chinese Journal of Pediatrics from 2005 to 2014.

OBJECTIVETo explore the status of articles published in Chinese Journal of Pediatrics from 2005 to 2014.
METHODAll the articles published in Chinese Journal of Pediatrics from 2005 to 2014 were searched at Wanfang Medical Online database. The total number and citations of articles, authors, agency, single article citation, internet downloads, columns, fund and Mesh were analyzed. The end of searching period was January 2015.
RESULTFrom 2005 to 2014, 2814 articles were published in Chinese Journal of Pediatrics, 235 to 380 articles per year. A total of 1 596 articles were cited, the citation rate was 56.16%, total number of citation was 15 428. Among single article citations, of the top 20 articles, 55% (11/20) were those published in the Standard/Protocol/Guide column. Of the top 20 papers most frequently downloaded on internet, 100% were articles published in the Standard/Protocol/Guide column. During the recent 10 years, the source of the papers published in the journal covered 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. The column that published the largest number of articles was Original Article (911, 32.05%), followed by Case Report (336,11.82%) and Review (245, 8.62%). Of the total number of articles published in the journal, 747 were supported by fund, which accounted for 26%. The articles supported by national fund accounted for 8%.
CONCLUSIONArticles published in Chinese Journal of Pediatrics had high-quality and can reflect the development and research progress in pediatric medicine. It is one of the most important information resources in pediatric academic fields in China.

7.Targeted metabolomics reveals the aberrant energy status in diabetic peripheral neuropathy and the neuroprotective mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine JinMaiTong

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)is a common and devastating complication of diabetes,for which effective therapies are currently lacking.Disturbed energy status plays a crucial role in DPN pathogenesis.However,the integrated profile of energy metabolism,especially the central carbohy-drate metabolism,remains unclear in DPN.Here,we developed a metabolomics approach by targeting 56 metabolites using high-performance ion chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(HPIC-MS/MS)to illustrate the integrative characteristics of central carbohydrate metabolism in patients with DPN and streptozotocin-induced DPN rats.Furthermore,JinMaiTong(JMT),a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formula,was found to be effective for DPN,improving the peripheral neurological function and alleviating the neuropathology of DPN rats even after demyelination and axonal degeneration.JMT ameliorated DPN by regulating the aberrant energy balance and mitochondrial functions,including excessive glycolysis restoration,tricarboxylic acid cycle improvement,and increased adenosine triphosphate(ATP)generation.Bioenergetic profile was aberrant in cultured rat Schwann cells under high-glucose conditions,which was remarkably corrected by JMT treatment.In-vivo and in-vitro studies revealed that these effects of JMT were mainly attributed to the activation of adenosine monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPK)and downstream peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1-alpha(PGC-1α).Our results expand the thera-peutic framework for DPN and suggest the integrative modulation of energy metabolism using TCMs,such as JMT,as an effective strategy for its treatment.
8.Efficacy and Safety of Shenfu Qiangxin Pills Combined with Chemical Medicine Conventional Therapy in the Treatment of Chronic Heart Failure :A Meta-analysis

OBJECTIVE:To systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Shenfu qiangxin pills combined with chemical medicine conventional therapy in the treatment of chronic heart failure ,and to provide evidence-based reference for clinical drug use. METHODS :Retrieved from CNKI ,Wanfang database ,VIP,Google Scholar ,PubMed,the Cochrane Library and Embase database ,RCTs about Shengfu qiangxin pills combined with chemical medicine conventional therapy (trial group ) versus chemical medicine conventional treatment (control group )were collected during the inception to May 12th,2020. After literature screening and data extraction ,the quality of the literatures was evaluated with risk bias assessment tool recommended by Cochrane 5.1.0 system evaluator manual. Meta-analysis and sensitivity analysis were performed by using Stata 14.0 software. RESULTS:A total of 7 RCTs were included ,involving 596 patients. Meta-analysis results showed that the total response rate of trial group was significantly higher than that of control group [OR =4.14,95%CI(2.15,7.97),P<0.000 01];the results of sub-group analysis according to the different criteria for determining the efficacy showed that the total response rates of trial group determined by Lee integral method and cardiac function grading method were sig nificantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment ,N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) level of trial group was significantly lower than that of control group [OR =-1.33,95%CI(-1.55, qq.com -1.11),P<0.000 01]. Results of sub-group analysis accor- ding to cardiac failure type showed that NT-proBNP level of patients with chronic heart failure in trial group was lower than control group (P<0.001). The level of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)in trial group after treatment [WMD =5.76,95%CI (5.05,6.47),P<0.000 01] was significantly higher than control group ;after treatment ,the level of B-type natriuretic peptide [SMD=-1.61,95%CI(-2.58,-0.54),P<0.000 01],left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD)level [WMD = -6.06,95%CI(-6.84,-5.27),P<0.000 01],left ventricular end-systolic diameter level [WMD =-0.52,95%CI(-5.70,-4.33), P<0.000 01] were significantly lower than control group. There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of ADR between 2 groups(P>0.05). Results of sensitivity analysis showed that when NT-proBNP ,LVEF level ,LVEDD level after treatment were used as indicators ,there was no significant difference in the analysis results after eliminating heterogeneity source , compared with before elimination. CONCLUSIONS :Shenfu qiangxin pills combined with chemical medicine conventional treatment has good efficacy and safety.
