AIM To compare the inhibition of pravastatin on HMG CoA reductase with enalapril and verapamil in SDR and SHR liver. METHODS The liver microsomes were prepared by ultracentrifugation, the HMG CoA reductase activity was determined by radioactivity in vitro. AIM:Although there are many evidences showing positive effects of dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate(DHEA-S) in bone metabolism,the reasonable and thorough experiments are still needed to clear the mechanism of DHEA-S on bone metabolism by excluding the biological effect of its derivative hormone.This experiment is to study the efficacy and safety of DHEA-S in treatment of osteoporosis in elderly males.METHODS:①From October 2005 to October 2006,120 out-and in-patients with primary osteoporosis who were admitted in Shanghai 6th People's Hospital were selected.The diagnosis of primary osteoporosis referred to the new standard from WHO:without the application of sexual hormone,and over 2.5 standard deviation value of bone mineral density lower than the peak value of the same gender subject.All the cases were randomly divided into treatment group and control group(60 cases in every group).② DHEA-S 100 mg and Caltrate-D 600 mg were orally given to the treatment group;Caltrate-D 600 mg was orally given to the control group.③After 6 months,the bone density,serum biochemical markers,markers of bone resorption and formation as well as side effects were measured.RESULTS:120 osteoporosis patients entered into analysis.①Compared to the pretreatment and control group,the bone mineral density in lumbar spine 1,lumbar spine 2-4,femoral neck,and upper part of femoral bone were increased significantly in the treatment group(P 0.05).CONCLUSION:Treatment of osteoporosis in elderly males with DHEA-S is safe and effective without obvious side effects.

To evaluate the forensic validation of D20S161 and D8S384 loci.Two typing kits for D20S161 and D8S384 had been home made.The samples had been analyzed by using both kits,which including human blood,human semen,human saliva,animal blood,mixture of human blood and animal blood;human bloodstain,human semen stain,human saliva stain,animal bloodstain, mixture stain of human blood and animal blood; old bloodstains.The sequences of primers for both loci had been compared with 606364 sequences in data base in GeneBank,USA.There are positive results for human blood,human semen,human saliva,mixture of human blood and animal blood by using both kits for D20S161 and D8S384 loci.But animal bloods have not any PCR-productyet.Genotyping of human bloodstain,human semen stain,human saliva stain,mixture stain of human blood and animal blood by using both kits for D20S161 and D8S384 loci were correct.But animal bloodstains had not any PCR productyet.Also, all of fifty old bloodstains had positive results of typing for D20S161 and D8S384.No product was obtained by PCR technigue when primers for both D20S161 and D8S384 loci were tested against 606364 known sequences in the data base in GeneBank.The results demonstrated that both loci have species specificity.Both D20S161 and D8S384 loci are useful marker for forensic casework and paternity analysis.

Purpose:To observe the response and tolerance to the regimen of etoposide,folinic acid and fluorouracil (ELF) in advanced gastric cancer. Methods:Thirty two patients with advanced gastric cancer received chemotherapy of ELF regimen(VP 16 100 mg iv d 1—3 ,CF 100—300 mg iv d 1—3,5 FU 750 1 000 mg iv d 1—3 Results:The overall response rate was 37.5% (12/32) and complete response rate was 3.1% (1/31), the partial response rate was 33.4% (11/32). The main toxicity was myelosuppression and alopecia. Leukopenia was observed in 81.6% of the patients, but grade 3 and 4 in only 12.5%. Anemia and throbopenia was observed in 21.8% and 35.1% of the patients respectively, alopecia in 100%. Other side effects were uncommon. Conclusions:This study shows that the regimen of ELF is effective and tolerable for treatment of advanced gastric cancer. [

The medical records of stroke patients at Zhenjiang Emergency Medical Center from January 1 to December 31,2011 were analyzed.A total of 797 stroke patients were managed,accounting for 10.42 percent of the emergency number over the same period.The average ages of males and females were (67 ± 14)and (72± 14)years old respectively (P ＜ 0.01).The incidence rate increased with age (P ＜0.05).The highest incidence occurred from 9:00 to 10:00 (n =61,7.7％),while the lowest incidence at 4:00 to 5:00 (n =9,1.1％).A total of 552 (69.3％) cases were sent to class 3A hospitals; the number of patients who independently option hospital were 626 cases (78.5％).Emergency response time (from call to arrival) was an average of 13.49 minutes.A total of 318 cases (39.9％) took no more than 10 minutes and first aid an average of 38.11 minutes.

Objective To observe the influence of hospital -community -family -individual 4 -level intervention model on schizophrenia patients in compliance,recurrence rate,psychotic symptom,social function,quali-ty of life and provide guidance for disease management.Methods 198 schizophrenia patients were divided into 4 -level intervention model group and conventional intervention group.After 6 moths follow -up,the effect was evaluated by compliance rate,recurrence rate,BPRS,WHO -DASII,SQLS.Results After the intervention for 6 months,the compliance,recurrence rate,the difference of severity of psychotic symptom,the difference of social function of the 4 -level intervention model group were 96.74%,13.04%,(7.57 ±2.83)points,[understanding and communication (6.32 ±3.64)points,physical exercise (5.16 ±3.28)points,self care (2.87 ±1.38)points,get on well with others (9.05 ±3.51)points,life activity (5.42 ±2.49)points,social participation (7.85 ±3.28)points],which of conven-tional intervention group were 74.74%,28.42%,(4.86 ±1.24)points,[understanding and communication (3.89 ± 1.86)points,physical exercise (2.80 ±1.238)points,self care (2.19 ±1.16)points,get on well with others (5.83 ± 3.04)points,life activity (3.41 ±1.96)points,social participation (4.27 ±2.17)points],the differences between the two groups were significant (χ2 =9.020,P =0.003;χ2 =6.932,P =0.009;t =8.527,P =0.000;t =5.775,P =0.000;t =6.554,P =0.000;t =3.652,P =0.000;t =6.712,P =0.000;t =6.144,P =0.000;t =8.829,P =0.000).The differences of before intervention and after intervention in the 4 -level intervention model group were psychological society (16.03 ±6.75)points,power and energy (15.79 ±6.41 )points,symptoms and side effects (19.37 ±7.28 )points,which in the conventional intervention group were psychological society (12.65 ± 5.46)points,power and energy (11.81 ±4.71 )points,symptoms and side effects (15.18 ±6.29 )points,the differences were statistically significant between the two groups (t =3.770,P =0.000;t =4.849,P =0.000;t =4.216,P =0.000).Conclusion Hospital -community -family -individual 4 -level intervention model has a positive effect on schizophrenia patients,which is worthy of clinical promotion.

A method for determination of 6 plant growth regulators by high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry ( HPLC-MS/MS ) coupled with isotope-coded derivatization was developed. d0-10-Methyl-acridone-2-sulfonyl piperazine ( d0-MASPz, light form) and d3-10-methyl-acridone-2-sulfonyl piperazine ( d3-MASPz, heavy form ) were prepared as isotope-coded derivatization reagents for carboxyl compound. The carboxyl plant growth regulator standards and real samples were derivatized by d0-MASPz and d3-MASPz, respectively. The obtained solutions were mixed at a certain ratio, and then injected for HPLC-MS/MS analysis. The light and heavy derivatives were monitored with transitions of [M+H]+m/z 208. 2 and [M+H]+ m/z 211. 2,respectively. With heavy derivative as internal standard for corresponding light derivative, the global isotope internal standard quantification for 6 plant growth regulators was achieved. The results indicated that the proposed isotope-coded derivatization method could provide relative quantitative data with adequate linearity in a 10-fold dynamic range ( R=0 . 9991 ) . The detection and quantitation limits were 0. 19-0. 34 μmol/L and 0. 53-0. 96 μmol/L, respectively. The relative standard deviations were ≤3 . 8%, and the accuracies ranged from 97 . 5% to 103 . 8%.

Objective to investigate the effect of TGP assisted treatment of SLE on the expression of CD4+CD25+ T in patient peripheral blood .Methods flow cytometry was used to detect the peripheral blood CD4+ CD25+ T cells in healthy group ,routine group and TGP group .Results The expression rate of CD4+CD25+ T cells in SLE patients was (6 .15 ± 1 .21)% ,and that of the healthy controls was (12 .30 ± 1 .78)% .The expression rate of CD4+CD25+ T cells in active SLE patients and healthy controls were significantly different (t=22 .03 ,P<0 .05) .In the routine group ,the expression rate of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ T cells before and after treatment were significantly different (t= 12 .30 ,P<0 .05);in the TGP group ,the expression rate of peripheral blood CD4+ CD25+ T cells before and after treatment were significantly different ,too (t=16 .68 ,P<0 .05) .The expression rate of periph‐eral blood CD4+CD25+ T cells in routine group and TGP group were (9 .34 ± 1 .37)% and (11 .49 ± 1 .14)% respectively ,and the difference was statistically significant (t=6 .46 ,P<0 .05) .Conclusion The expression rate of CD4+ CD25+ T cells in active SLE patients was significantly lower than that of healthy controls ;the expression rate of CD4+CD25+ T cells in SLE patients increased significantly after treatment .The TGP treatment may work on CD4+CD25+ T cells .
