Although weight loss is beneficial for obese patients with diabetes, current medical treatment for obesity is difficult. Bariatric surgery leads to substantial and durable weight reduction.Nearly 30% of patients who undergo bariatric surgery have type 2 diabetes.For many of them, diabetes resolves following bariatric surgery (83% to 93% for bypass procedures and 55% to 84% for restrictive procedures).This review discusses the effects of various bariatric procedures on type 2 diabetes mellitus and their possible mechanisms.

Objective To study the correlation between expression of mannose-ligand receptor(MR) on capacitated human sperm in vitro and acrosome reaction induced by zona pellucida(ZP). Methods The swimming-up sperms were incubated in capacitating medium BWW for 6 hours at 37℃, and then treated with solubilized mouse zona pellucida(mZPS).After an hour, the percentages of spermatozoa labeled with FITC-DMA were counted and used to show the expression of MR; the percentages of acrosome-reacted sperm visualized with fluoresceinated Pisum sativum agglutinin(PSA) were recorded. Results There is no correlation between expression of MR on capacitated human sperm in vitro and acrosome reaction induced by mZPS.Conclusion Expression of MR on capacitated human sperm in vitro might not be the essence of capacitation.;

Objective To study the effect of mannose receptor(MR) from human spermatozoa on sperm-egg fusion. Methods The Balb/c mouse was immunized with the purified mannose receptor(pMR) which was isolated from motile human sperm by mannose-agarose gel affinity chromatography and the anti-MR serum was harvested. Human sperm after induction of acrosome reaction was pretreated with anti-MR serum and subsequently processed in sperm penetration assay (SPA). Results The anti-MR serum can inhibit human spermatozoa from binding and penetrating zona-free golden hamster eggs with a dose-dependent reduction of Fertilization rate(FR) and Penetration index(PI).Conclusion The results indicate that MR of human sperm plays an important role in sperm-oocyte fusion.

The result regarding the application of McAbs against PwMJ-SAg in the detection of the circulating antigens(CAg) in sera from the patients (early stage and nonpulmonary type) with paragonimiasis westermani was reported in this paper. CAg in the sera from 35 patients in the early stage and 15 nonpulmonary type of patients was 100% positive by using McAb IB1 and JB4 out of 8 McAbs against PwMJ-SAg. Furthermore, these two McAbs didnot react crossly with the sera from 25 normal subjects, 15 patients with clonorchiasis, 15 patients with fasciolopsiasis, 15 patients with schistosomiasis japonica, 16 patients with Brugian filariasis or 10 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. However, they crossly reacted with 8 samples of sera from 15 patients (53.3%) with pagumogonimiasis skrjabini. The McAb IB1 and IB4, threfore, are appropriate as the reagents to diagnose paragonimiasis westermani (early stage or nonpulmonary type). Objective:To investigate the clinical value of emergency cervical cerclage combined mesh patch suture in the treatment of cervical incompetence.Methods:From January 2011 to August 2016 in our hospital 65 cases of pregnant women with inevitable abortion,32 cases of they had carried out emergency cervical cerclage combined mesh patch suture(group A),33 cases of they had carried out cervical cerclage only(group B),The prolongation of gestation time,delivery gestational age,neonatal outcome,delivery mode and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Results:The operation time of A group was higher than that of group B,surgical complications of cervical laceration in group A was less than B group,the difference was statistically significant(P ＜ 0.05);there was no significant difference in the incidence of chorioamnionitis between the two groups(P＞0.05);the gestational age of group A was extended to 84.45 ±35.77 days,and the gestational age of B group was extended to 51.86 ±29.93 days,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups(P＜0.05);there was more than 28 weeks delivery in 23 cases(71.88％) in group A,and 17 cases (51.52％) in group B,the difference was statistically significant(P ＜ 0.05);there were no statistically significant differences in the delivery mode between the two groups(P ＞ 0.05);neonatal birth weight,birth Apgar 1 minutes score of group B were significantly lower than those of group A,the difference was statistically significant (P ＜0.05).Conclusions:Emergency cervical cerclage combined mesh patch suture can effectively prolong the gestational age,improve neonatal outcome,no obvious complication and has certain clinical applicative value.

ObjectiveTo provide evidence for the development of national norm of coping style for petrol station employee.MethodsStratified random sampling surveys and individual interview were performed in 13 269 in-service petroleum employees.Taking gender,age,education level and marriage as independent variables and coping factors as dependent variables,t test or analysis of variance was completed.Results Our data indicated that coping style was significantly changed in different gender ( P＜0.05),age (F=4.596,P＜0.05),education (F=14.723,P＜0.05) and marriage groups (P＜0.05).Conclusion Specified working environment results in corresponding coping style,and the development of national norm may be important and necessary.

Objective To investigate dietary fat intake and fatty acid composition in Qingdao residents.Methods Cluster random sampling method was used to select 189 adults (53 males and 136 females) between March and to July 2010.The food intake habit and the relationship between nutrient,fat,fatty acid composition and serum lipid concentrations were analyzed.Results Per capita intake of cereal was 200 g,potato 26 g,poultry meat and offal 85 g,seafood 73 g,nuts 23 g,and oils 40 g.Protein accounted for 16％ of total calorie intake,carbohydrate 48％,and fat 37％.Oils accounted for 43％ of fat intake,and nuts 11％.High fat intake was mainly contributed to intake of oils and nuts.Those with dyslipidemia showed higher nutritent intake and body mass index.ConclusionQingdao residents show higher dietary fat intake and lower long-chainω-3 (n-3) PUFAs consumption.Long-chain n-3 PUFAs may be negatively correlated with dyslipidemia.

To study the characteristics of eye signs in chronic hepatitis B patients with blood stasis syndrome and the association between blood stasis syndrome and eye signs.

Objective: To investigate the protective effect of curcumin on carbon tetrachloridlde (CCl 4) intoxicated primary cultured rat hepatocytes. Methods:The rat hepatocytes were separated by perfusion with collagenase solution. Curcumin was added to the culture medium after incubating the rat hepatocyte for 36 hours. At the same time, CCl 4 was added to induce hepatocyte injury for 1 h. The levels of ALT, LDH, NO, SOD, MDA and cell viability after cultivation for 3 h were determined, respectively. Results:Curcumin significantly improved cell viability, inhibited the decrease of SOD activity and increase of the ALT, LDH, MDA, NO levels. Conclusion: Curcumin protected effectively the primary cultured rat hepatocytes against injury induced by CCl 4.

Objective To study the effects of different transport protein on the transport of 7,4'-dihydroxyflavone (7,4'-DHF) and its metabolite (7,4'-DHF-S) in Caco-2 cell model.Methods Ultra performance liquid chromatography was employed to determinethe content of 7,4'-DHF and 7,4'-DHF-S incubation buffer,their structures were identified by LC-MS/MS.Bidirectional transport of Caco-2 cells model was used to investigate the influence of ko143 (the inhibitor of BCRP) and MK571 (the inhibitor of MRP2) on the transport of 7,4'-DHF and 7,4'-DHF-S,respectively.Results Metabolic product of 7,4'-DHF in Caco-2 monolayer cell was identified as one monosulfate;PDR of 7,4'-DHF was (1.43 ± 0.11),PDR of ko143 and MK571 on the apparent permeability of 7,4'-DHF was (1.59 ± 0.04) and (1.48 ± 0.07) (P ＞ 0.05);PDR of 7,4'-DHF-S was (1.60 ± 0.06);ko143 could significantly reduce the apparent permeability of 7,4'-DHF-S,and the PDR was (0.23 ±0.03) (P ＜ 0.01);MK571 had no significant effect on the apparent permeability of the 7,4'-DHF-S,and the PDR was (1.51±0.04) (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Caco-2 cells can mediate the suffonated reaction of 7,4'-DHF;7,4'-dihydroxyflavone sulfonated combination product may be a substrate for BCRP.
