Adiponectin is an adipocyte-derived peptide with anti-inflammatory and anti-atherogenic effects. It has found that adiponectin can prevent the occurrence and progression of atherosclerosis. This paper reviews the recent studies on adiponectin in cerebrovascular diseases, especially on ischemic stroke. Meanwhile, it also elaborates the close relationship between adiponectin and other traditional vascular risk factors.

Objective To study the effect of Alemtuzumab on acute rejection (AR) and graft survival after kidney transplantation.Method Published domestic and foreign literatures regarding the effects of Alemtuzumab used on acute rejection and graft survival were reviewed, and Meta analysis was employed to analyze the Results.Odds ratio (OR) and its 95% confidence interval (95% CI) were used as the parameters to evaluate the therapeutic effects. The statistical analyses were performed with RevMan 5.1 software.Result A total of 9 pertinent research articles were reviewed.Meta-analysis of pooled results indicated that Alemtuzumab prevented the recipients of kidney transplantation from acute rejection effectively with half year prevention of OR 0.37 and 95% CI 0.24-0.58 (P<0.01),one year prevention of OR 0.43 and 95 % CI 0.29-0.64 (P<0.01),and two year prevention of OR 0.69 and 95% CI 0.47-1.02 (P < 0.01),respectively.It was revealed that Alemtuzumab could reduce the incidence of acute rejection by 55% in half year,51% in one year and 28% in two years, respectively. No statistically significant difference in graft survival was found between Alemtuzumab group and control group (OR =1.18,95% CI 0.76-1.85,P =0.46).No statistically significant difference in patients' survival was found between Alemtuzumab group and control group (OR =0.94,95 % CI 0.52-1.72,P =0.85).Conclusion Alemtuzumab may effectively prevent the recipients of kidney transplantation from acute rejection, but not obviously influence the graft and patient survival.

Objective To study the diversities of imaging, symptoms, electrophysiology and clinical value of the stereoelectroencephalography(SEEG) in patients with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy. Methods Eight patients with intractable epilepsy in Epilepsy Center of Yuquan Hospital of Tsinghua University who underwent mesial temporal lobectomy were recruited in this study, and their epileptic foci could not be accurately positioned. Therefore stereotactic brain electrodes were implanted, and their usual attack originated from mesial temporal lobe structure were confirmed. There was no seizure in the one year follow-up.Results Symptoms of the eight patients behaved differently, and the onset of the seizures in scalp electroencephalograph or SEEG showed diversities.Epileptic discharges were found originated from the mesial temporal lobe after implanting electrodes: in the early stage of discharges, four cases had the conduction to insular lobe structure;two cases had the conduction to contralateral mesial temporal lobe;one case had the conduction to retrosplenial cortex;one case had the conduction to parietal lobe;one case had the conduction to frontal lobe and rapid generalization (one case had the conduction to insular lobe and contralateral mesial temporal lobe meanwhile). Conclusions There is difference in clinic, imaging and electrophysiology of the patients with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy The non-specificity can be explained by the evolution of the intracranial electroencephalography, which can help us know its network conduction pattern Insular lobe is the most common conduction approach of mesial temporal lobe epilepsy in early stage SEEG can be used as a microinvasive, accurate preoperative localization method, which can help us to locate accurately and understand the discharges and conduction mode.

Objective:
To study the genome molecular characteristics of Getah virus (SC1210) which isolated in Sichuan province in 2012.
Methods:
Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to identify the isolate and the genome was sequenced by the second Ion Torrent PGM. Computer softwares, including Mega Align and Mega 6, were used to analyze the nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequence, and draw phylogenetic trees.
Results:
SC1210 was identified as Getah virus. The full genome sequence was 11 690nt, the nucleotide and amino acid homology of the full sequence with other strains were 99.2%-99.7% and 96.5%-99.4%.The capsid protein of SC1210 consisting of 804 nucleotides, encoding 268 amino acids and the full-length of E2 protein, had 1 266 nucleotides, encoding 422 amino acids. The nucleotide homology of the capsid protein and the E2 protein with other strains were 94.9%-99.2% and 94.6%-99.6%, and the amino acid were 97%-99.6% and 97.1%-99.5%. The 3′ UTR of the virus included 402 nucleotides and there were three repeat sequence elements and 19 nucleotides conservation sequence.
Conclusions
The first GETV isolate SC1210 in Sichuan province has a closer relationship with Yunnan strain YN040 and a far genetic relationship with MM2021.
