Objective To use the DNA-pool technology to sequence patients with essential hypertension(EH) for exploring the single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) mutation situation in Chinese patients with EH.Methods One hundred EH outpatients in the Shenzhen Sun Yat-sen Cardiovascular Hospital from March to June 2014 were continuously collected. The genomic DNA was performed the fragmentation process to 400-800 bp for conducting the database creation and sequencing. The sequencing results were compared with hg19 in the human gene bank(National Center of Biotechnology Information). Results A total of 120.8 Gb original sequence data were generated. The sequencing depth was 36.13 times, the coverage rate reached 99.88%.A total of 4 305 668 SNP loci were detected by the bioinformatic analysis,in which the C:G→T:A motation types were miximal, reaching 12 314 variation sites. Conclusion This study verifies that the data obtained by using the DNA-pool whole genome resequencing method replenishes the Chinese gene database of EH and provides some help for EH gene reasearch in the future.

Erchen Decoction is widely used to dampness-phlegm syndrome and it can be flexibly used in clinical application by my supervisor Professor OU Zheng-wu, especially in cough, pneumonia, asthma and influenza, which has obvious efficacy in treatment. This article reviewed five medical cases during the follow-up process with Professor OU in application of Erchen Decoction, with a purpose to share experience of famous doctors and improve TCM diagnosis and treatment level together.

BACKGROUND:The interaction and mutual influence of intestinal flora in the host intestine with mucosal immune barrier play an important role in the homeostasis regulation within the intestine. OBJECTIVE:To explore the role of intestinal flora in the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome and the mechanism of moxibustion in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome from the aspects of intestinal flora imbalance and mucosal immune activation. METHODS:With the key words of “irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal flora, intestinal immune, moxibustion” in Chinese and in English, respectively, a computer-based search was performed for articles published in CNKI, VIP and PubMed databases from October 2001 to October 2014. After the initial screening, the reserved articles were further detailed, summarized and concluded. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Totaly 37 articles were colected, including 15 in Chinese and 22 in English. The analysis results showed that, the imbalance of intestinal flora and mucosal immune can play an important role in the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome, and the former one can affect the body’s feeling of rectal distension threshold and visceral sensitivity. Moxibustion excels at improvement of the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, particularly abdominal pain with high visceral sensitivity, by regulating the body’s physiological balance from multi-link and multi-target aspects.

Objective To investigate the popularization of cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)knowledge and science popularization needs among urban and rural residents in Tonghai County,Yuxi City,Yunnan Province,so as to explore the establishment of an efficient and appropriate science popularization model. Methods A total of 300 residents aged 15-60 years old were selected from Tonghai County,Yuxi City,Yunnan Province using stratified and simple random sampling methods.A self-designed questionnaire was used to conduct an anonymous questionnaire survey. Results Only 20.3%of Tonghai County residents master CPR skills, and 26.2%of Tonghai County residents have never heard of CPR.There is a statistically significant difference in the awareness rate of CPR between rural residents and non-rural residents(P<0.01).There are differences in residents'age and CPR awareness(P<0.01),the age and CPR are inversely proportional. The residents have a higher willingness to perform chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on strangers,66.2%and 68.6%respectively.63.79%of residents have never attended relevant training. But 92.76%of the people said they were willing to participate in the relevant training when they learned the training news. Conclusion Residents in Tonghai County generally lack knowledge of CPR first aid,but the demand for first aid knowledge of residential CPR is high and the attitude towards rescue is positive. It is recommended that relevant departments increase CPR science popularization and training efforts, and popularize CPR into villages.
