Acellular dermal matrix(ADM) is a special biological material that contains only collagen, elastin and other extracellular matrix.ADMs are made by special methods of separating skin epidermis and dermis, and removing Laugerhans cells, vascular endothelial cells, fibrohlasts cells and major histocompatibility complex (MHC)within the dermis.ADM causes no graft rejection, and provides a good scaffold for tissue reconstruction, angiogenesis and implantation of host cells. The preparation process of ADM includes the separation of epidermis and dermis, decellularization, perforation and freeze-drying.According to the classification method,ADMs can be classified into allogeneic and xenogeneic ADM,patch and injection type ADM,as well as cross-linked and non-crosslinked ADM,which can meet various clinical requirements.ADM is widely used in surgical field, such as treatment of deep burn wounds, breast reconstruction after masteetomy, oral mucosa repair, abdominal wall hernia repair, and treatment of vocal cord paralysis.Due to the characteristics ADM,its application prospect is considerable. The research progress of ADM in recent years was summarized.

PurposeThe bone flare phenomena has been well described on bone scintigraphy for efficacy monitoring up to now, but our knowledge has been rarely described on MSCT, the phenomena may be erroneously classiifed as disease progression. This article intends to evaluate the existence and CT features of bone flare phenomena of metastatic bone disease in lung cancer patients treated with ibandronate, to raise awareness of this phenomenon.Materials and Methods The clinical and image data of 45 patients with bone metastases of lung cancer were retrospectively analyzed prior to treatment and 3, 6 months after treatment, the change of CT value and CT features 3 months after treatment between bone flare phenomena group, progressive disease group 1 and progressive disease group 2 were compared. Results The incidence of bone flare phenomena was 6.7% (3/45). 3 months after treatment, CT value of the bone flare phenomena group and progressive disease group 1 changed when compared with before treatment, the differences were statistically signiifcant (t=-5.787 and-2.788,P<0.05) and there was no statistically signiifcant difference (t=1.691,P>0.05) of CT value in the progressive disease group 2 after 3 months' treatment. After 3 months' treatment, the bone flare phenomena group mostly appeared as osteogenic sclerosis of osteolytic lesions, while the cases of progressive disease group mostly appeared as new periosteal reaction of the lesion, or osteogenic/mixed lesion combined with osteolytic damages, the difference between the two groups was statistically signiifcant (χ2=10.139, 8.041 and 4.154,P<0.01,P<0.05). There was no statistically signiifcant difference in increase of density in osteosclerotic lesions (χ2=0.059, P>0.05).Conclusion In patients treated with ibandronate, when there is therapeutic effect evaluation standard of bone metastases (disease progression) and clinical comprehensive curative effect evaluation standard (effective) discordance at 3 months after treatment, it can be interpreted as bone flare phenomena, and the change of CT features contributes to the differential diagnosis of bone flare phenomena with progressive disease.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of discriminating different solutions and solutions with different concentrations using gemstone spectral imaging (GSI).Methods Glucose solutions (GSs)with different concentrations (5%,10%,15%,20% g/mL)and 0.9% normal saline(NS)were scanned at a CT scanner with GSI model.Spectral analysis software was used to generate spectral curves of different solutions, representing as CT values on monochromatic images(40~140keV).The same procedure was repeated 3 days later.Reliability analysis with intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC)was used to evaluate the agreement between the twice CT scans.Nonlinear regression analysis was used to generate the regression equation of spectral curves of each solution.One-way ANO-VA was performed to compare the slopes, asymptotes and intercepts of each solution. Results Reliability analysis showed excellent agreements between the twice CT scans for each solution (ICC>0.9).The regression equation was expressed as:f(keV-40)=α-(α-β)×e [-(keV-40)×ρ],where f(keV-40)represented CT values on each monochromatic images,αrepresented asymptotes,βrepre-sented intercepts,ρrepresented slopes of each solution.Statistical differences were found among the slopes of NS and those of GSs with different concentrations (P <0.05),while no statistical differences were found among the slopes of different GSs (P >0.05). The result was highly suggestive that different ingredient solutions demonstrated different shapes of spectral curves. The asymptotes and intercepts of GSs with different concentrations were statistically different (P <0.05).The heights of the spectral curves of GSs elevated with the increase of the concentration. Conclusion Spectral curve with GSI model can be used to discriminate between NS and GSs,or even GSs with different concentrations. It provided a promising potential for in vivo body fluid analyses.
