Several cytokines which play key role in asthma patients with chronic inflammation and reconstruction of air duct,are important targets for anti-asthma agents.In this review,we summarize the latest advancement of anti-asthma agents which targeted for cytokines(interleukins,TNF,eotaxin)and investigation development of new anti-asthma agents emerged in recent years.

Objective To observe the effect of salt-partitioned moxibustion at Zhongwan (CV12) in treating belching due to chemotherapy.Method Subjects with chemotherapy-induced belching were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 30 in each group. The control group was intervened by intramuscular injection with Ritalin 20 mg, while the observation group was by salt-partitioned moxibustion at Zhongwan for 30 min in addition to the intramuscular injection.Result The total effective rate was 93.3% in the observation group versus 76.7% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05); the action latency in the observation group was (1.7±1.8)min in the observation group versus (15.6±4.2)min, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.01).Conclusion Salt-partitioned moxibustion at Zhongwan is significantly effective in treating chemotherapy-induced belching, and it’s easy-to-operate, efficient, and safe.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of DPP-4 inhibitors in the treatment of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus and its effect on blood pressure and body weight.Methods A total of 100 newly diagnosed elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were enrolled in this study from July 2013 to June 2015 in this hospital.They were divided into observation group and control group(n=50).The control group was treated with placebo on the basis of diet control and exercise.The observation group was treated with sitagliptin on the basis of diet control and exercise.Fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2 h postprandial blood glucose(2 h PG) and glycated albumin (GA) were measured before and after treatment,and the incidence rate of hypoglycemia,blood pressure,body weight and other adverse reactions were monitored.Results After treatment,two groups of patients,condition were significantly improved,FPG,2 h PG,GA changes in observation group were significantly better than that of control group,the difference were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in blood pressure,body weight and body mass index before and after treatment,and also between the two groups(P＞0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group and the control group were 10.0％ and 8.0％,The incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of DPP-4 inhibitor siglitazide in the treatment of newly diagnosed elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is good,and it is very useful in the treatment of these patients.

BACKGROUND:Insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1), a main active factor in growth hormone (GH), plays various biological functions, such as improving cognitive ability and anti-apoptotic action.
OBJECTIVE:To detect the expressions of GH and IGF-1 in the temporal cortex of Lewis dwarf rats, and to explore the effect of different concentrations of GH on the differentiation of hippocampal nerve stem cels (NSCs).
METHODS:Lewis dwarf rats aged 11(adult) and 20 (senile) month olds and normal wild-type rats were euthanized by decapitation, underwent the craniotomy quickly, and the temporal cortex in the cold saline was extracted. GH and IGF-1 levels were detected using western blotting. After isolation, purification and identification of the rat hippocampal NSCs, the effect of GH in different concentrations (10, 30, 90μg/L) on the NSCs differentiation was determined at 96 hours after culture.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The GH level in the temporal cortex did not differ significantly among rats (P > 0.05). While the IGF-I level in the temporal cortex of Lewis dwarf rats was significantly higher than that of the wild-type rats (P < 0.05). The GH level in the temporal cortex of adult female Lewis dwarf rats was significantly lower than that of the male rats (P < 0.05). Immunofluorescence showed that the proportion ofβ III-tubulin-positive neurons was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05) after the hippocampal NSCs and precursor cels cultured for 96 hours with GH (30μg/L), but there was no significant difference between the control group and treatment group with GH of 10 or 90μg/L. These results suggest that GH and IGF-I are expressed in the temporal cortex of both Lewis dwarf and wild-type rats which are independent from pituitary GH and the peripheral circulating IGF-1. Additionaly, GH can promote the differentiation of hippocampal NSCs and precursor cels into neurons.

Objective:To investigate the stability of flurbiprofen axetil lipid microspheres injection combined with 0. 9% sodium chloride injection or 5% dextrose injection, and provide theoretical basis for the clinical application. Methods:The content changes of flurbiprofen axetil in the mixture of flurbiprofen axetil lipid microspheres injection and 0. 9% sodium chloride injection or 5% dextrose injection were determined in 5 h at 25℃ away from light, and the changes in the appearance and particle size of flurbiprofen axetil lip-id microspheres were investigated. The changes in the appearance and particle size of flurbiprofen axetil lipid microspheres in the mix-ture of flurbiprofen axetil lipid microspheres injection and 0. 9% sodium chloride injection before and after freezing and thawing were also investigated. Results:The appearance, particle size and content had no significant changes in all mixtures in 5 h at 25 ℃ away from light. The appearance and particle size of flurbiprofen axetil lipid microspheres in the mixture before and after freezing and thawing had no significant changes as well. Conclusion:The mixture of flurbiprofen axetil lipid microspheres injection and 0. 9% sodium chlo-ride injection or 5% dextrose injection is stable in 5 h away from light.

Objective:To study the influencing factors in the preparation of salicylic acid dropping pills , and determine the opti-mum preparation process .Methods: The environmental factors , heating temperature , matrix ratio and preparation steps of salicylic acid drop pills were observed .With pill weight difference , dissolution time and appearance quality as the indices , an orthogonal test was adopted to optimize the preparation process .Results:Salicylic acid and the matrix should be separately heated to prevent red ox-ide.The optimized preparation process of drop pills was as follows:the ratio of PEG 400 and PEG 6000 was 1∶5, the temperature of drug solution was 50℃, the dropping distance was 8 cm and the dropping rate was 70 drops per minute .Conclusion:The preparation process is simple and practicable .The pill weight difference , dissolution time and appearance quality all meet the quality require-ments.

Objective: To investigate the current status and influencing factors of sleep disorders among pregnant women, so as to provide insights into health management during pregnancy. Methods: Pregnant women who underwent prenatal checkups at Hangzhou Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from January to October 2023 were selected as subjects, and general data including age, pregnancy period and exercise were collected through questionnaire surveys. Sleep quality, pregnancy stress, anxiety and depression were evaluated using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Pregnancy Stress Rating Scale, Pregnancy-related Anxiety Scale and Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale, respectively. Factors affecting sleep disorders among pregnant women were analyzed using a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: A total of 386 pregnant women was surveyed, with a mean age of (30.28±4.65) years, including 20.47% in the first trimester, 47.93% in the second trimester and 31.61% in the third trimester. Women with anxiety and depression accounted for 14.51% and 21.76%, respectively. Pregnancy stress was mainly moderate, accounting for 51.04%. There were 106 pregnant women with sleep disorders, accounting for 27.46%. Mutivariable logistic regression analysis showed that age (≥35 years, OR=1.656, 95%CI: 1.094-2.503), pregnancy period (third pregnancy, OR=2.097, 95%CI: 1.213-3.621), regular exercise in the past 6 months (OR=0.376, 95%CI: 0.210-0.670), anxiety (OR=2.794, 95%CI: 1.545-5.048), depression (OR=3.501, 95%CI: 1.877-6.529) and pregnancy stress (moderate, OR=1.355, 95%CI: 1.018-1.801; severe, OR=2.538, 95%CI: 1.417-4.540) were the factors affecting sleep disorders among pregnant women. Conclusions Sleep disorders of pregnant women is influenced by age, pregnancy period, pregnancy stress, anxiety, depression and exercise. It is necessary to identify high-risk individuals with sleep disorders early, and to provide psychological intervention and prenatal health guidance.

Objective To investigate the changes of serum gastrin level in patients with colon cancer and the relationship between serum gastrin level and colon cancer occurrence and development.Methods Data of 35 patients underwent colon cancer surgery from January 2010 to January 2012 in our hospital were collected,at the same time data of 28 patients with colonic polyps and 30 cases of normal were collected as normal control.Serum gastrin levels were tested by radioimmunoassay in patients with colon cancer before surgery,1,3,7 d after surgery and they were analyzed.Results The serum gastrin level of patients with colon cancer was significantly increased compared with colon polyps and healthy controls((92.45 ± 12.98) ng/L vs (49.66 ±10.34) ng/L vs (30.12 ±6.39) ng/L;F =9.455,P ＜0.001)).Serum gastrin level in patients with obstructive colon cancer was significantly higher than that in non-obstructive cancer((129.84 ± 15.32) ng/L vs (75.34 ±11.45) ng/L,t =12.181,P ＜0.001) ;Serum gastrin levels in patients who cut off colon tumor was signifcanfly lower than before surgery((43.02 ±8.34) ng/L,(40.74 ±6.78) rig/L,(38.12 ±7.09) ng/L vs (89.45 ±12.98) ng/L;P ＜0.05).But no significant change of serum gastrin levels in patients with the colon tumor compared with the preoperative((97.34 +8.30) ng/L vs (95.82 ±7.20) ng/L vs (94.44 ±7.74) ng/L vs (100.23 ± 10.82) ng/L; P ＞ 0.05).But there was significant difference on serum gastrin levels between patients who cut off colon tumor and patients with the colon tumor(within groups:F =8.341,P =0.012 ;between groups:F =7.871,P =0.024).Conchusion Serum gastrin levels in patients with colon cancer were significantly higher than that of patients with colon polyps and normal controls.There was also a significant reduction of serum gastrin in tumor resection,and therefore gastrin may be involved in the development of colon cancer.

Objective To explore the differences of gene expression of peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) between the anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody (ACCPA) positive and ACCPA negative patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) by microarray analysis.Methods Total RNA was extracted from PBMC of 5 ACCPA positive and ACCPA negative patients with RA,and age-and sex-matched control subjects respectively.Ⅲumina oligonucleotide microarray was used to characterize 47231gene expression profile for each sample.Results Among the target genes,88 differentially expressed genes were identified in RA patients.Fifty-one up-regulated genes and 37 down-regulated genes were found in RA patients compared to those in control subjects (fold change＞1.5).The differential expression of genes were associated with apoptosis,cytokine,signal identification protein,chemotaxis factor etc.There were 20 differential expression genes between the ACCPA positive and ACCPA negative patients with RA,9 up-regulated genes and 11 downregulated genes were found.The differential expression genes were associated with protein biding,,translation control,signal identification protein,cell cycle,metabolism etc.Conclusion There are differential gene expression between the ACCPA positive and ACCPA negative patients with RA.Genes screened from the target such as IFI,KIR,CHI3L1 can provi-de important information for further study and treatment of RA.

Objective To investigate the effect of metformin on the growth of human anaplastic thyroid cancer cell HTh74Rdox which is doxorubicin resistant. Methods The HTh74Rdox was treated with different concentrations of metformin for 48 h. Cell morphology was observed by microscope, cell viability was tested by methylthiazoletetrazolium (MTT), cell apoptosis by annexin Ⅴ and propidium iodide double staining, the anti-oncogenic miRNA was assayed by realtime fluorescence quantitative PCR (RT-PCR), and the adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK)/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway tested by western blot. Furthermore, the anti-oncogenic miRNAs were knockdown by miRNA inhibitors (miR-34a, miR-101, miR-125b, and miR-138 inhibitors) and the cells were treated by metformin for 48 h, after that, cell apoptosis was detected by annexin Ⅴ and propidium iodide double staining, the expression of protein related to AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway was detected by western blot. Results Metformin inhibited the growth of human anaplastic thyroid cancer cell HTh74Rdox in a concentration-dependent manner, the cell apoptosis was induced by metformin, and there was a significantly lower expression of miR-34a, miR-101, miR-125b, and miR-138 in the HTh74Rdox. However, the four above miRNAs were upregulated by metformin, and AMPK/mTOR pathway was also activated by metformin. When these miRNAs were suppressed by miR-inhibitors (miR-34a, miR-101, miR-125b, miR-138 inhibitors), the stimulating effect of apoptosis and AMPK/mTOR pathway by metformin were reversed. Conclusion Metformin significantly suppresses cell viability of human anaplastic thyroid cancer cell HTh74Rdox, and stimulates AMPK/mTOR pathway and apoptosis by upregulating the expressions of miR-34a, miR-101, miR-125b, miR-138 in HTh74Rdox cell.
