1.Discussion on the Draft of Chinese Medicine Act
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2017;24(1):5-7
Publishment of the draft of Chinese Medicine Act shows that the legislative work for TCM has achieved substantial progress. But after careful analysis on the legislative bills, there are some controversial questions, such as integration of traditional Chinese and western medicine, the setting of Chinese medicine clinics, Chinese medicine personnel training, the prescription-based processing Chinese medicine decoction pieces and dispensing Chinese materiamedica preparations by medical institutions. These all need to be further perfected.
2.Legislation on the Relief of Adverse Drug Reactions-induced Harm
China Pharmacy 1991;0(05):-
OBJECTIVE: To explore the ways to evolve the current domestic legislation on the relief of adverse drug reactions(ADR)-induced harm.METHODS: Suggestions on the improvement of the existing related legal systems were put forward by analyzing the status quo of the current legal regulations on the relief of ADR-induced harm.RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: The relief pattern, liability principle, the scope of paying and the time limit of lawsuit etc should be given into full consideration in the legislation on the relief of ADR-induced harm.

Objective To investigate risk factors bringing on death and the conversion factors of renal function in the elder acute re-nal failure (ABF) and establish the prevention and treatment measure in clinic to reduce mortality. Methods The clinical information of 143 elder ARF cases which were treated by two hospitals for many years was studied. The risk factors possible bringing on death in the elder ARF were studied by using binary logistic regression pattern. The clinical factors possible affecting the conversion of renal function in the eld-er ARF were analyzed. Results Binary logistic regression pattern study showed that heart failure, respiratory failure, gastrointestinal bleed-ing, hepatic failure, coma, organ failure number and lower blood pressure among 25 study factors were found to be the risk factors bringing on death, and heart failure, respiratory failure, organ failure number and whether chronic renal insufficiency were the most important factors of affecting recover of renal function in the elder ARF. Conclusion The effective prevention and treatment measure should be adopted in the elder ARF with these risk factors so as to reduce mortality and increase the recover rate of renal function.

Objective:Dysmenorrhea is the common gynecological problem among adolescent girls and women of reproductive age. This study aim to develop a dysmenorrhea Quality of Life (QoL) scale based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory. Methods:We conducted focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with TCM gynecologists and patients, and adapted items from previously published scales. We generated an initial pool of 41 items with 8 domains. Delphi method was used to item preliminary selection. Then, we administered the items to a sample of adolescent girls ( n=200), and the distribution of survey items, discrete trend, factor analysis, correlation coefficient, Cronbach’s α coefficient were used to select items. Results:After two rounds of Delphi, a total of thirty items were included in the dysmenorrhea QoL scale. The expert positive coefficient were 100% and 83.3% with high motivation. The authoritative coefficient were greater than 0.7, the results showing authoritative and reliable. The Kendall’s coefficient of concordance W was 0.333 ( χ2=128.271, P<0.001). In sample analysis, the items were deleted when they met more than two standards. The final scale retained 20 items, covering 8 dimensions. Conclusions:The methods for selection of dysmenorrhea QoL scale based on TCM theory were preferable. Given the paucity of research in this area, this new dysmenorrhea QoL scale may provide opportunities for the patient-reported outcome (PRO) evaluation in the field of TCM.

[Objective] To investigate the effects of preconditioning with low concentration of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) on oxidative stress-induced BMSC apoptosis.[Methods] In vitro separation, purification, culture, and amplification of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells were performed.BMSC were insulted with 0,50,100,200,300,400,500 μmol/L H2O2 and the effect of different consentration of H2O2 on BMSC was detected by Flow cytometry (FCM).And then cells were preconditioned with different consentraion of H2O2.(FCM) was used to determine the protective role of H2O2 preconditioning on BMSC apoptosis,BMSC chromatin distribution changes were observed by Hoechst33324;BMSC Caspase-3 and Bcl-2 gene changes were detected by RT-PCR.[Results] Analysis of BMSC apoptosis by flow cytometry showed that H2O2 induced BMSC apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner, and pretreatment of the cells with low concentration of H2O2 prevented subsequent stimulation with high H2O2.RT-PCR results showed that preconditioning with low concentration of H2O2 reduced the BMSC Caspase-3 gene expression but increased Bcl-2 gene expression.[Conclusion] Preconditioning with low concentration of H2O2 has an adaptive role in BMSC,and its mechanism may be related to inhibit abnormal gene expression of Caspase-3 and increase the gene expression of Bcl-2.

Objective:To investigate the teaching effects of blended teaching based on massive open online courses (MOOC) combined with team-based learning (TBL) for the general elective course First Aid for Burns for non-medical college students. Methods:We assigned 73 non-medical college students choosing the Common Home Health Issues and Care course in the spring semester of 2023 to receive blended teaching based on MOOC and TBL (experimental group), and 113 non-medical college students choosing the same course in the spring semester of 2024 to receive traditional lecture-based learning (control group). A self-evaluation questionnaire was used to evaluate the teaching effects and satisfaction with the course of the two groups. SPSS 27.0 was used to perform the t-test and chi-square test. Results:The experimental group showed significantly higher proportions of students who had a complete mastery of knowledge of first aid for burns (54.8% vs. 33.6%, P<0.01) and students who provided positive feedback on improving autonomous learning ability (98.6% vs. 78.8%, P<0.001), improving the ability of teamwork (100.0% vs. 68.1%, P<0.001), improving communication ability (98.6% vs. 72.6%, P<0.001), and overall satisfaction with the course (97.3% vs. 76.6%, P<0.001) compared with the control group. Conclusions:The blended teaching model based on MOOC and TBL can improve the teaching effects of First Aid for Burns for non-medical college students, enhancing their autonomous learning, teamwork, and communication abilities. This method is applicable to medical general education courses, which is worthy of promotion and application.
