International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2011;33(2):131-133
objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of thought imprint psychotherapy in lower resistant state (TIP) on depression. Methods 60 patients with depression were randomly divided into TIP group and citalporam group. The observation period was 12 weeks. The Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAMD)、 Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and treatment emergent symptoms scales (TESS) were used to evaluate the efficacy and adverse effects. Results The effective rate was 78.6% and 74.1% in the TIP group and citalporam group respectively. Conclusions TIP is an effective and safe means for the treatment of depression.

Objective To investigate the association between SLCO1B1/ApoE gene polymorphisms and lipid-lowering efficacy and safety of rosuvastatin. Methods DNA samples were extracted from blood using nano paramagnetic particle method. The SLCO1B1 521T>C and ApoE gene polymorphisms were screened by PCR-pyrophosphate sequencing method.Totally 152 patients received rosuvastatin orally at a dose of 10 mg/d.The lipidlowering efficacy was evaluated through detecting serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) level before and 8 weeks after the treatment. The incidence of myopathic adverse effect was assessed by follow-up of the occurrence of myalgia. Results The gene distribution of SLCO1B1 521T>C was 73.7%,23.7% and 2.6% respectively for TT,TC and CC in 152 patients, and the distribution of ApoE gene was 65.8%,13.2% and 21.0% respectively for ε3/ε3,ε3/ε2 and ε4/ε3.The genotype ε4/ε4,ε2/ε2 and ε4/ε2 were not detected. After orally receiving rosuvastatin 10 mg daily for 8 weeks, the decreased LDL-C levels showed significant differences (P<0.05) among ApoE genotype ε3/ε2,ε3/ε3 and ε4/ε3 groups, and the frequencies of myalgia showed significant differences in the three genotype groups of SLCO1B1 521T>C (P<0.05).Conclusion The gene polymorphism of SLCO1B1/ApoE was correlated with efficacy and safety of rosuvastatin. The combined detection of SLCO1B1/ApoE genes can be utilized to predict efficacy and risk, and then realize individualized medication.

Objective To investigate the effect of the continuing quality improvement on PICC-related phlebitis in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods Eighty breast cancer patients undergoing PICC for chemotherapy in our hospital from September to December 2014 were selected as control group, receiving routine nursing care. Another eighty patients undergoing PICC for chemotherapy from January to March in 2015 were selected as experiment group and the quality control cycle was used, the measures including investigating the present situation aiming to theme, goal setting and analyzing, working out and using countermeasures and effect comfirming. Result After applying continuing quality improvement in the experiment group the incidence rate of phlebitis in the continuing quality improvement group was significantly lower than those before continuing quality improvement and in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of continuing quality improvement activities can reduce the incidence of pzce-related phlebitis in patients with breast cancer during chemotherapy. It can improve the safety of PICC catheter and therefore, it is worthy of popularization.

There are many discussions and researches on the positive role of security and negative role of insecurity. However, from the view of biology and evolution, insecurity should be exist when people were born. It makes human to think, then produce relevant behaviors. Just these thinking and behaviors produce culture, maintain psychological individual balance and realize personal value.

Objective This study targeted on 298 newly employed staff in Guang'anmen Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, who had finished the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI).A retrospective study has been approached to investigate the mental states of the new employers in the Chinese comprehensive hospital. Methods SPSS statistics software 11.5 was used to do descriptive statistical analysis. Results Scores of all factors show no difference compared to the various norm groups studied. Most of the new employers represent calm and gentle personalities. They are confident, optimistic, independent, gentle, kind, decent, rational and objective, have self-control and self-discipline,barely have no doubt about their physical health, trust others; they are mature, able to maintain good interpersonal relationships and to adapt external pressure; they do not harm themselves psychologically; they are calm, stable and pragmatic. Conclusion Subjects are somehow over reporting or exaggerating the prevalence of being nice, which could be subconscious or intentional. However, this does not have impacts on reliability and validity.MMPI is a relatively comprehensive psychometric scale for employment.

Objective To explore the characteristics of polysomnography (PSG) of depressed patients and the correlation between rapid eye movement (REM) and severity degree of depression. Methods Polysomnography was used to assess patients'sleep condition and Montgomery-Asberg depression scale (MADRS) was used to assess the severity degree of depression. 90 patients and 30 healthy controls were included. Results Compared to healthy controls, sleep progress of depressed patients changed as follow:prolonged sleep latency((25.2 ±15.25) minutes) ,lowered sleep efficiency(0.853 ±0.11) ;the architecture of sleep also changed:percentage of stage 1 increased( (27.7 ± 16.38) % ),percentage of REM sleep increased( (22. 8 ± 6. 1 ) % ) , percentage of stage 2 decreased ((40.2±11.3)%), percentage of slow wave sleep decreased ((11.8 ±9. 32)%); REM sleep significantly changed; decreased REM latency((79. 27 ±30. 44) minutes) , increased REM activity((129. 0 ±53. 12) u) .increased intensity of REM((36.7 ±14.0)u/min), increased REM density((159.2 ±57.2)u/min) were observed in depressed patients. There was no obvious correlation between the variance of REM and severity degree of depression. Conclusion There are a series of changes in sleep progress, architecture and REM sleep of depression and the change of REM sleep can be specified to diagnose depression. However, there is no causality between REM variance and severity of depression.

Objective To study and analyze clinical manifestation of depression in comprehensive hospitals in China. Methods Retrospective study was performed.3322 objects included in this research were measured by Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory(MMPI).Results In Chinese comprehensive hospitals, the most common accompanying symptoms of depression were anxiety, fatigue, suicide inclination, apprehension, somatic discomfort, impotence or asexuality,hypochondriasis,somato-complaints,insomnia,self-accusmion and self-reproach,sense of dependence and so on.Depression was positively correlated with suicide risks,self-accusation,delusion of self-accusation,somatic discomfort,somato-complaints,impotence and asexuality, insomnia, headache, fatigue, apprehension, and family problems.Depression had negative correlations with self-strength,social status and economic status. The results had statistical significance. Conclusion Decreased self-strength,increased sense of dependence, low social status and economic status and family problems were the most common pathogenesis basis for depression.Depression can be manifested as various somatic disorders, especially insomnia.
