1.Effect of 3D animation on preoperative anxiety in patients with lumbar disc herniation

Objective To study the effect of three-dimensional (3D) animation on preoperative anxiety in patients with lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Methods One hundred and eighty-four LDH patients were randomly divided into experiment and control group in equal number. The control group was educated in traditional method and the experiment group in the form of 3D animation. The self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) was used for the assessment 2 h after admission into the hospital and 1d before operation. Results After the intervention, the score by SAS in the observation group was significantly lower than that before the intervention and control groups (P<0.001). The score by SAS in the control group was significantly lower than that of the control group and that before intervention (P<0.001). Conclusion Health education by 3D animation can relieve preoperative anxiety in the patients with lumbar disc herniation.
2.Effect of Bailing capsule combined with western medicine on microinflammatory status in diabetic nephropathy patients with maintenance peritoneal dialysis

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of Bailing capsule combined with conventional western medicine on diabetic nephropathy patientswith maintenance peritoneal dialysis. Methods:Eighty-six type 2 diabetic nephropathy patients receiving peritoneal dialysis in our hospital from February of 2016 to February of 2019 were selected and were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method with 43 cases in each group. All patients received continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis. Patients in the control group received routine treatment. In the observation group, patients took Bailing capsules based on the treatment of the control group. The two groups were treated continuously for 3 months. Insulin resistance (IR), fasting blood glucose (FPG), fasting insulin (FINS), renal function, and serum levels of microinflammatory factors high sensitivity c-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin (IL)-6, IL-17, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α were compared in the two groups. Results:After the treatment, FPG, FINS, HOMA-IR, blood creatinine, urea nitrogen, and 24 h urinary protein in the observation group were significantly less than those of the control group ( t value were 5.204, 8.227, 14.070, 5.022, 5.900, 5.246, respectively, all Ps<0.01). After thetreatment, serum levels of hs-CRP, IL-6, IL-17, TNF-α in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group ( t value were 12.871, 7.021, 7.733, 8.165, respectively, all Ps<0.01). Conclusions:Bailing capsule can effectively improve the insulin resistance and renal function of diabetic nephropathy patients during maintenance peritoneal dialysis and relieve the state of micro-inflammation.
3.Practice and effects of perioperative blood glucose management in orthopedic diabetic patients

Objective? To explore the effects of perioperative blood glucose management in orthopedic diabetic patients. Methods? Totally 75 diabetic patients receiving surgery and requiring blood glucose monitoring 7 times a day in the Department of Orthopedics, He'nan Provincial People's Hospital from October 2017 to February 2018 were included in the control group, who received blood glucose management using conventional methods. Another 79 patients of the same type hospitalized between March and June 2018 were selected into the observation group for whom a blood glucose team was built and an intervention protocol of perioperative blood glucose management was developed. Self-efficacy, blood glucose detection missing rate, patient's satisfaction and average length of hospital stay of the two groups were analyzed before and after intervention. Results? The self-efficacy score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group after intervention;the blood-glucose detection missing rate was lower in the observation group than in the control group; the average length of hospital stay was shorter in the observation group than in the control group; and patient's satisfaction was higher in the observation group than in the control group (P< 0.05). Conclusions? Blood glucose management in orthopedic diabetic patients helps to optimize the blood glucose management process, improve patients' self-management capability, reduce diabetic patients' operative risk, guarantee patients' safety, and improve the quality of medical service.
4.Current status and enlightenment of teaching models in evidence-based medicine at home and abroad: a qualitative systematic review

Objective:To summarize the different teaching models and their effects in evidence-based medicine at home and abroad by qualitative method and systematic review.Methods:We searched the following databases (from inception to 13 May, 2019): PubMed, Embase, Proquest, Cochrane, Web of Science database and the Chinese databases (CNKI, Wanfang, SinoMed and VIP). To assess data strength and validity, risk of bias assessments were undertaken.Results:A total of 52 literatures were included in this study, including 21 Chinese-language literature and 31 English-language literature. PBL teaching model, mixed teaching model and workshop teaching model were the three teaching models with the largest number of studies in 20 teaching models.Conclusion:The evidence-based medicine teaching effect was closely related to the teaching models, so it is necessary to explore more suitable teaching models for the evidence-based medicine to improve the teaching effects.
