Objective To explore the effect of relaxation response on mental health in physically heath subjects.Methods The literatures on relaxation response published in recent 20 years were searched.Those using Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90)and meeting inclusive criteria were analyzed with meta analysis.Results Nine literatures including 975 subjects were enrolled.The mean weight change(WMD)of SCL-90 Was 0.10 to 0.24.In overall effect test, Z value was 3.64 to 9.64(all P＜0.05).Conclusion Relaxation response may help to improve mental health of Chinese population.

Objective To evaluate the application and risk of hematogenous tumor dissemination of intraoperative autologous blood salvage on radical nephrectomy for renal carcinoma with inferior vena cava tumor thrombus.Methods Between July 1999 and October 2005,19 patients with renal cell carcinoma invading inferior vena cava were used by the intraoperative autologous blood salvage.Preoperative and postoperative clinical data were analyzed and compared.The blood sparing effect and follow-up were evaluated.Results The intraoperative autologous blood salvage of all cases was successful.The levels of HCT,Hb and RBC on the 1st and 7th postoperative day were significantly lower than preoperative day.Although the level of PLT decreased on the 1st postoperative day,it recovered on the 7th day.The markers of liver and renal function did not change during treat time.Packed red blood cells were collected during surgery with a mean value of 1 765 ml(300～6 000 ml) per patient.The average amount of allogenic transfusion per patient was 2 247ml(0～8000 ml).The perioperative mortality rate was 10.5%(2/19).The postoperative metastasis rate was 35.3%(6/17).No difference was found in the prognosis between two groups.Conclusion The intraoperative autologous blood salvage does not markedly change the clinic test data and not increase the recurrence and metastasis of renal cell carcinoma.

Objective:To establish the quality control methods for Qianliedan particle. Methods:TLC was used to identify Scutel-lariae Barbatae Herba, Astragali Radix, Glycyrrhizae Radix Et, Rhizoma Praeparata Cum Melle, Psoraleae Fructus and Curcumae lon-gae Rhizoma. The content determination item was developed by determining the content of scutellarin in Scutellariae Barbatae Herba by HPLC. Results:The TLC spots were clear and well-separated without any interference from the negative sample. A good linear rela-tionship was established between the peak response and the concentration of scutellarin within the range of 3. 96-79. 20 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 9). The mean recovery of scutellarin was 99. 34% (RSD=1. 25%, n=9). Conclusion:The established quality control meth-ods are accurate, reliable, stable and specific, which can be well used for the quality control of Qianliedan particle.

Objective To explore the characteristics of defense mechanism in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD).Methods Outpatients diagnosed as OCD were tested by Yale-Brown obsessive Compulsive Scale. Among them, 40 patients with score beyond or equal to 16 were selected as research group. 33 healthy individuals were selected as normal group. They were tested with Defense Style Questionnaire.Results ①The factor score of immature defense mechanisms in the OCD group is much higher than that in the normal group (P<0.01); the factor score of mature defense mechanisms in the OCD group is lower than that in the normal group (P<0.05); the factor score of middle defense mechanisms in the OCD group is much higher than that in the normal group (P<0.01). ②Passive aggression, acting out, splitting, regression, somatization in the immature defense mechanisms and relief, false altruism, isolation in the middle defense mechanisms are much more used by the OCD group than that in the normal group; but suppression and humor in the mature defense mechanisms are less used by the OCD group than that of the normal group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). ③Sublimation, suppression and consuming tendency are much more used in male patients than female ones in OCD group(P<0.05).Conclusion The patients with OCD tend to use the immature defense mechanisms and middle defense mechanisms, and there is some difference between male and female patients in using defense mechanisms.

Objective To study the changes of bone mineral density(BMD)and bone turnover in postmenopausal osteoporotic patients treated with salmon calcitonin nasal spray. Methods Sixty-seven postmenopausal osteoporotic patients were enrolled in our trial. All of them received calcium and vitamin D; 37patients were treated with salmon calcitonin nasal spray for 12 months and the other 30 patients received calcium and vitamin D only. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry(DEXA)and measurements of a series of bone turnover indices were performed before and after medication for 6 and 12 months. Results After treatment with salmon calcitonin nasal spray for6 months, BMD in lumbar spine 2-4 increased but no change occurred in femoral neck. However, after treatment for 12 months, BMD in both lumbar spine 2-4 and femoral neck increased. In the control group, BMD in lumbar spine 2-4 decreased after treatment for 6 and 12 months, but BMD in femoral neck decreased only after 12months. Comparing with the control group, after treatment with salmon calcitonin nasal spray, BMD in lumbar spine 2-4 and femoral neck were increased obviously. The level of TRACP-5b and NTX/Cr decreased after treatment with salmon calcitonin nasal spray for6 months and 12 months, while BALP increased only after treatment for 12 months. In the control group, BALP decreased after treatment for 12 months. The level of 25-(OH)vitamin D increased after treatment for 6 months and 12 months in both groups. Conclusions Long-term treatment with salmon calcitonin nasal spray prevents bone loss and may increase bone mass.

Objective To explore the levels of sense of coherence,social support and coping style of permanent colostomy,and explicit the relationships among the three variables.the structural equation model(SEM) was used to investigate the relationship of the three variables in order to provide the theory basis for patients with permanent colostomy. Methods Self designed questionnaire,Sense of coherence scale, Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire and social support Scale were used to investigate 172 permanent colostomy patients from two grade 3 class A hospitals in Harbin. Results The total score of SOC in patients with permanent colostomy was (65.09 ± 11.71) points;The total score of social support in patients with permanent colostomy was (42.60 ± 7.26) points;the three subscales of medical coping modes questionnaire in descending sequence were avoidance, confrontation and acceptance-resignation with (18.53 ± 2.82), (17.37 ± 5.48), (9.49 ± 3.25) points. The abusive social support and coping style were significantly correlated to sense of coherence (P< 0.01 for both). Moreover, sense of coherence can be predicted directly by social support,and predicted indirectly via the mediating effect of coping style. Conclusion Effective measures should be taken to improve social support and via coping style to improve sense of coherence.

Objective To identify the high-touched object surface in different special intensive care units(ICUs) through the observation and statistical analysis on the number of touching with common object surfaces in different ICUs, so as to provide basis for hospital environmental management.Methods Direct observation method was used to observe the daily activities of health care workers, the number of touching with various common object surfaces was recorded, Poisson distribution was adopted to statistically analyze the data.Results The average number of touching from high to low was as follows : medical record folder(n=28.00), chair(n=18.38), emergency rescue cart(treatment cart, n=17.29), bed surface(n=13.90), intravenous infusion line(n=13.76), medical pen(n=13.38), and intravenous transfusion pump(n=11.81), these objects accounted for 64.01% of all surface touching number.Different special ICUs were slightly different, general ICU high-touch object included the first 6 categories;cardiothoracic surgery ICU included the above 7 categories besides keyboard and mouse;internal medicine ICU included the first 6 categories and mobile phone.Conclusion High-touched object surface varied with different special ICUs of the same hospital, hospital should make the corresponding disinfection management measures according to the actual situation of high-touched surface of each department, so as to reduce the incidence of healthcare-associated infection.

Objective To establish the quality control methods for Qihuang Fuzheng particle .Methods Astragali Ra-dix ,Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata ,Corni Fructus ,Chuanxiong Rhizoma ,Angelicae Sinensis Radix , Paeoniae Radix Rubra ,Moutan Cortex ,and Ophiopogonis Radix were identified with TLC .HPLC method was used for loganin assay in Cor-ni Fructus .Results TLC identification methods for the main components were established .The TLC spots were clear with good separation .No interference was detected from the negative samples .The peak response and concentration of loganin showed good linear relationship over the range of 4 .02-80 .40 μg/ml (r=0 .9999) .The mean recovery of loganin was 99 .02％(RSD=0 .64％ ,n=9) .Conclusion The established quality control methods are accurate ,reliable ,and specific ,which lay a foundation for the quality control of Qihuang Fuzheng particle .

Objective:To explore the formula and preparation technology parameters of Shengmai dispersible tablets. Methods:With the granulation status, disintegration time, friability, taste and and so on as the testing indices, the formula and preparation tech-nology of Shengmai dispersion tablets were optimized by uniform design. Results:The optimized formula of Shengmai dispersible tab-lets was as follows:25% extract powder, 58% MCC, 8% CCMC-Na, 4% CMS-Na, 2% L-HPC, 2% magnesium stearate and 1%sweetener. L-HPC and magnesium stearate were added after the granulation, and the tablet hardness was controlled at 25N. The opti-mized dispersible tablets could disintegrate uniformly within 3 min. Conclusion: The optimization of the prescription and preparation process parameters of Shengmai dispersing tablets is stable and reliable, and has good repeatability, and the process is feasible.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize enzymatic extraction technology of polysaccharide from Schisandra chinensis. METH-ODS:Using pH value of enzymatic extraction solution,the amount of enzyme,extraction temperature as response factor,S. chi-nensis polysaccharide as response value,on the basis of single-factor experiments,3-factor,5-level central composite experimental design was adopted for the experiment. Validation test was also conducted. RESULTS:The optimal extraction technology was as pH value of 5.7,enzyme dosage of 1.3%,extraction temperature of 53 ℃. In validation test,the extraction rate of S. chinensis polysaccharide was 14.30%(RSD=1.84%,n=6). CONCLUSIONS:The optimized extraction technology is simple,reasonable and stable,and can be used for the extraction of polysaccharide from S. chinensis.
