China Pharmacy 2015;(19):2644-2647
OBJECTIVE:To study the improving effects of argatroban on the brain damage of model rats with cerebral hemor-rhage. METHODS:50 SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group(equivalent normal saline),model group(equiva-lent normal saline),argatroban high, medium and low dose groups (0.75,1.5,3 mg/kg). All groups, except for normal control group, were reproduced models with cerebral hemorrhage, and the rats in each group were treated by corresponding drugs after 30 min,ip,once a day. The rats were executed after continuous administration for 3 days. The data was detected, including the con-tents of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),activity of cysteine-containing aspartic protease 3(Caspase-3), expressions of Bcl-2,Bax,matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2)and MMP-9,and the phosphorylations of nuclear factor κB(NF-κB) p65 and IκBα. RESULTS:Compared with the normal control group, the contents of TNF-α and IL-1β,the activity of Cas-pase-3,the expressions of MMP-2,MMP-9 and Bax proteins were increased;the expression of Bcl-2 was decreased;and phos-phorylations of NF- κB p65 and IκBα in model group were increased, with significant differences(P<0.01). Compared with the model group, the contents of TNF-α and IL-1β,the activity of Caspase-3,the expressions of MMP-2,MMP-9 and Bax were de-creased;the expression of Bcl-2 was increased;and phosphorylations of NF-κB p65 and IκBα in argatroban low, medium and high dose groups were decreased, with significant differences (P<0.01 or P<0.05). And it was positively correlated with the dose. CONCLUSIONS:Argatroban has dose-dependent inhibition effects on the inflammatory cytokine secretion and apoptosis of brain tissue of model rats with brain hemorrhage, and the mechanism may be related to NF-κB signaling pathway.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2018;34(7):555-562
Objective:
To reclarify the natural change trend of several hormones with age in Chinese population.
Methods:
A cross-sectional survey was performed including 5 935 healthy individuals (2 286 males and 3 649 females) in the final statistical analysis. All participants received questionnaire survey, anthropometric index and laboratory tests including sex-related hormones, insulin, thyroid hormones, and 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D]. Kruskal-Wallis test or One-way ANOVA analysis was used to compare hormone levels in different age groups. Spearman analysis was used to explore the correlation between age and hormone levels.
Results:
(1) Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) concentrations increased with age from 40 years in both males and females, and stabilized at high levels after the age of 60 in females and 80 in males. Estradiol level in females started to decrease since 40 years old, then stabilized around 70 years. Sex hormone binding globulin level increased significantly with age in males, but decreased in postmenopausal females. (2) Fasting serum insulin gradually decreased with age in males until 60 years, but without obvious change in females. Fasting plasma glucose and HbA1C increased with age in both males and females. (3) Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) increased slowly with age in both males and females. (4) 25(OH)D increased with age in both males and females overall, especially more obvious in males. (5) During 41-60 years, FSH and LH levels in menopausal females were much higher than those in premenopausal females, while estradiol level in menopausal females was much lower. Compared with premenopausal females aged 41-50 years, estradiol level in premenopausal females was much lower in 51-60 years.
Conclusion
The levels of several important hormones are related with age, revealing a natural change trend as aging in Chinese population. (

Objective:A structural equation model of the influencing factors on caregiver preparedness at discharge of patients with chronic heart failure was constructed based on the individual and family self-management theory, and the main paths influencing caregiver preparedness were explored. Methods:This study was a cross-sectional survey. A total of 345 caregivers of patients with chronic heart failure who were hospitalized in the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from October 2020 to August 2021 were selected as research objects by convenience sampling method, and they were investigated by Caregiver Preparedness Scale, Family APGAR Index, Herth Hope Index, Social Support-Rating Scale, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire. The influencing factors on caregiver preparedness at discharge of patients with chronic heart failure were analyzed. Results:The total score of Caregiver Preparedness Scale, Family APGAR Index, Herth Hope Index, Social Support-Rating Scale, and Positive and Negative Coping Subscale of Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire in patients with chronic heart failure was (20.79 ± 4.92), (8.05 ± 1.43), (35.34 ± 4.47), (43.89 ± 6.56), (24.38 ± 5.21), (11.21 ± 4.26) points. Caregiver preparedness in patients with chronic heart failure was positively correlated with family function, hope, positive coping and social support ( r values were 0.213-0.383, all P<0.01), and negatively correlated with negative coping ( r=-0.546, P<0.01). Family function and social support in patients with chronic heart failure could directly or indirectly affect caregiver preparedness (total effect value: 0.380, 0.212), hope and negative coping directly affected caregiver preparedness (total effect value: 0.200, -0.433), and could account for 39% of the total variation in caregiver preparedness. Conclusions:Caregiver preparedness of patients with chronic heart failure needs further improvement. The effective ways to improve caregiver preparedness are to pay attention to family function, improve hope level, increase social support and reduce negative coping.

Objective:To evaluate the survival, complications and prognostic factors in patients with stageⅠb2 and Ⅱa2 cervical squamous cell carcinoma treated by primarily radical surgery with or without postoperative adjuvant therapy. Methods:The clinical and pathological data of patients with stageⅠb2 and Ⅱa2 cervical squamous cell carcinoma treated in the Cancer Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences from January 2015 to January 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients underwent Querleu-Morrow classification (Q-M classification) C2 radical surgery, including extensive hysterectomy+pelvic lymphadenectomy with or without adjuvant therapy based on postoperative risk factors. Survival rate was calculated by Kaplan-Meier method and survival curve was drawn. Univariate analysis was performed by using the log-rank test to analyze the clinicopathological factors related to the prognosis of patients. Multivariate analysis was performed by using Cox regression method to analyze independent risk factors affecting survival prognosis.Results:(1) The median age of 643 patients with cervical squamous cell carcinoma was 50 years old (45-58 years old). Clinical stage: 260 cases (40.4%, 260/643) of stage Ⅰb2, 383 cases (59.6%, 383/643) of stage Ⅱa2. (2) Among 643 cases underwent Q-M classification C2 surgery, 574 cases (89.3%, 574/643) of them received adjuvant therapy and 184 cases (28.6%, 184/643) of them had grade 3-4 complications after treatment, including 134 cases (20.8%, 134/643) early complications and 66 cases (10.3%, 66/643) late complications. The incidence of grade 3-4 complications in 574 patients received postoperative adjuvant therapy was 30.1% (173/574), which was significantly different from that in 69 patients who received surgery alone (15.9%, 11/69; χ2=6.08, P=0.014). (3) All 643 cases were followed up, and the median follow-up time was 40 months (3-76 months). During the follow-up period, 117 cases (18.2%, 117/643) recurred, including 45 cases (7.0%, 45/643) of local recurrence, 54 cases (8.4%, 54/643) of distant metastasis, and 18 cases (2.8%, 18/643) of local recurrence and distant metastasis. The 5-year progression-free survival (PFS) and 5-year overall survival (OS) rates of patients with stage Ⅰb2 and Ⅱa2 cervical squamous cell carcinoma were 79.9% and 85.5%, respectively. Univariate analysis showed that pelvic lymph node metastasis, para-aortic lymph node metastasis, deep stromal infiltration, and lymph-vascular space invasion were significantly associated with 5-year PFS in patients with stage Ⅰb2 and Ⅱa2 cervical squamous cell carcinoma (all P<0.05). The maximum diameter of tumor, pelvic lymph node metastasis and para-aortic lymph node metastasis were significantly associated with the 5-year OS of cervical squamous cell carcinoma in stages Ⅰb2 and Ⅱa2 (all P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that pelvic lymph node metastasis and para-aortic lymph node metastasis were independent factors affecting 5-year PFS and 5-year OS in patients with stage Ⅰb2 and Ⅱa2 cervical squamous cell carcinoma (all P<0.01). Conclusion:Radical surgery is a feasible and effective primary treatment for stagesⅠb2 and Ⅱa2 cervical squamous cell carcinoma, with a high 5-year survival rate and an acceptable complication rate.

Objective:
To investigate the value of contrast-enhanced CT scans in differential diagnosis of atypical adenomatous hyperplasia (AAH), adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS), minimal invasive adenocarcinoma (MIA) and invasive adenocarcinoma (IAC) in patients who manifested as ground glass nodules (GGNs) or mixed GGNs (mGGNs) in unenhanced CT imaging.
Methods:
The unenhanced and enhanced CT images of 194 patients with GGNs in the lung were retrospectively analyzed, including 64 cases with pre-invasive lesions, 80 cases with MIA, and 50 cases with IAC. The prediction of pathological types was based on maximal diameters and the solid portions of the lesions displayed on unenhanced and enhanced CT images, and then compared with pathological diagnosis.
Results:
In 64 patients with pre-invasive lesions, the CT value increased in 59 cases after contrast-enhanced administration, whereas the solid portions increased in 5 cases. In the 80 patients with MIA, solid portions increased in 50 cases and the CT value increased in 30 cases after contrast administration. In 50 cases with IAC, almost all of them showed increased solid portions, whereas only 2 cases showed an increase of CT values. In the pre-invasive group and the MIA group, the increase of CT values after contrast administration was (45.88±15.97) HU and (66.47±44.54) HU, respectively, showing statistically significant difference (

Chinese Medical Journal 2014;127(18):3229-3232
BACKGROUNDSleep deprivation (SD) has been used in treatment of depression disorder, and could effectively improve the patients' depressive symptoms. The aim of the study was to explore the effects of SD on electroencephalographic (EEG) and executive function changes in patients with depression.
METHODSEighteen depression patients (DPs) and 21 healthy controls (HCs) were enrolled in the present study. The whole night polysomnography (PSG) was recorded by Neurofax-1518K (Nihon Kohden, Japan) system before and after 36 hours of SD. The level of subjects' depression state was assessed by Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and the executive function was assessed by Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST).
RESULTSSignificantly decreased sleep latency (SL; before SD: (31.8 ± 11.1) minutes, after SD: (8.8 ± 5.2) minutes, P < 0.01) and REM sleep latency (RL; before SD: (79.8 ± 13.5) minutes, after SD: (62.9 ± 10.2) minutes, P < 0.01) were found after SD PSG in depression patients. Decreased Stage 1 (S1; before SD: (11.7 ± 2.9)%, after SD: (7.3 ± 1.1)%, P < 0.01) and Stage 2 (S2, before SD: (53.8 ± 15.5)%, after SD: (42.3 ± 14.7)%, P < 0.05) of non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep, and increased Stage 3 (S3, before SD: (11.8 ± 5.5)%, after SD: (23.6 ± 5.8)%, P < 0.01) and Stage 4 (S4, before SD: (8.8 ± 3.3)%, after SD: (27.4 ± 4.8)%, P < 0.01) NREM sleep were also found. After SD, the depression level in patients decreased from 6.7 ± 2.1 to 2.9 ± 0.7 (P < 0.01). In WCST, the patients showed significantly decreased Response errors (Re, before SD: 22.3 ± 2.4, after SD: 18.3 ± 2.7, P < 0.01) and Response preservative errors (Rpe, before SD: 11.6 ± 3.6, after SD: 9.3 ± 2.9, P < 0.05). Depression patients' RE (t = 2.17, P < 0.05) and Rpe (t = 2.96, P < 0.01) also decreased significantly compared to healthy controls.
CONCLUSIONSD can improve depression symptom and executive function in depression patients.
