Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2005;40(2):150-152
Aim To study the chemical constituents of Rhododendron ovatum Planch. Methods The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by silica gel column chromatography and identified on the basis of their physiochemical and spectral data. Results Seven compounds were isolated and identified. Their structures were established as 3,5,7-trihydroxylchromone 3-O-β-D-xylopyranoside (I), taraxerol (II), β-sitosterol (III), betulinic acid (IV), quercetin (V), quercetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (VI), and D-glucose (VII). Conclusion Compound I is a new compound. Compounds II-VII were isolated from this plant for the first time.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(03):-
OBJECTIVE To investigate the knowledge about hand hygiene among the outpatients and then take some valid methods to enhance their understanding about hand hygiene.METHODS By randomly asking patients from two departments in a level A of the tertiary hospital, one was a digestion and the other was a non-digestion department question designed by ourselves. The data were generally described by percentage and ?2 test with SPSS 6.0.RESULTS All the patients had not enough and correct hand hygiene knowledge from both two groups. The patients from digestion department paid more attention on their hand hygiene than from non-digestion one.The most patients from both two groups thought they needed to know more about hand hygiene and hospital should equipped with some fast hands cleaning instruments.CONCLUSIONS It is a very important duty for nurses to explain and publicize more about general hygiene and show patients how to clean their hands in order to decrease hospital infection.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2000;0(06):-
Objective To study the effects of estrogen on the cultured osteoclasts in vitro. Methods The acid phosphatase (ACP) and tartrate resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) activities were measured kinetically and the introcellular hydrogen ions were calculated with the confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM). The area and number of the resorption pits were determined with the Leica Quantimet 500 system. Bone resorption pits were observed with scanning electronicmicroscope. Results With the estrogen concentration increased, the ACP and TRAP activities decreased from (1 69?0 13) U/L and (1 60?0 14) U/L to (1 16?0 31) U/L and (0 93?0 34) U/L, respectively (experiment group vs control group, P

Journal of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(5):743-745
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Yinhe gargle on infected root canals. Methods Forty-seven cases of root canal infection ( involving 48 affected teeth) were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group (22 cases involving 22 affected teeth) was given intracanal medicament with Yinhe gargle, and the control group ( 25 cases involving 26 affected teeth) was given root canal disinfection with camphor phenol. After intracanal medicament for one week, therapeutic effect and safety were evaluated in the two groups. Results ( 1) During root canal disinfection, none of the subjects had adverse reaction such as hypersensitiveness or cauterization of soft tissue. Canal obturation was available after the first intracanal medicament for the infected root canals. (2) After intracanal medicament for one week, the effective rate in the experimental group was 95.45%, and was 100.00%in the control group, the difference being in significant (P>0.05). Conclusion Yinhe gargle has similar disinfection effect to camphor phenol on infected root canals, and it can be used as disinfection medicament for root canals.

Objective To explore the expression of COX-2 and p38MAPK in patients with trauma MODS. Methods Forty MODS patients were evaluated. The levels of peripheral blood mononuclear cells COX-2 and p38MAPK in MODS patients and 40 normal controls was detected by enzyme linked immunosor-bent assay (ELISA). RT-PCR was used to measure the COX-2 mRNA and p38MAPK mRNA expression of in PBMCs. ANOV and correlation analysis were used in statistical analysis. Results The levels of COX-2 and p38MAPK of PBMCs and the mRNA expression in MODS group were higher than in control group (all P <0.05). The levels of COX-2 and p38MAPK of PBMCs and the mRNA expression in dead group were higher than in survival group( all P <0.05). The levels of COX-2 and p38MAPK of PBMCs were positively correlated, (r =0.6 147, P<0.01). The expression of COX-2 mRNA, p38MAPK mRNA of PBMCs and APACHE I scoring were positively correlated (r1 =0.5 009, P1 <0.05,r2 =0. 5 316, P2 <0. 05). Conclusions COX-2 and p38MAPK of PBMCs take part in the onset of MODS, and may service as index to judge the prognosis of MODS.

Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2009;44(10):736-739
Objective To investigate cardiac reserve function and pregnant results of preeclampsia. Methods Pregnant women chosen by randomized table and hospitalized in the department of obstetrics of the first affiliated hospital of Chongqing MedicaI University were involved in this study from January to December,2008.Sixty-nine cases of normal pregnant women were divided into 3 groups:normal group 1(20cases),normal group 2(26 cases)and normal group 3(23 cases). The normal group number 1 to number 3 were paired to gestational hypertension(20 cases),mild preeclampsia(26 cases)and severe preeclampsia (23 cases),respectively. The digital technique of heart sound signal processing WaS used to measure cardiac reserve function parameters including the heart rate(HR),the ratio of the amplitude of the first heart sound to the second heart sound(S1/S2)and the ratio of diastolic to systolic duration(D/S)of pregnant women. The pregnant results were also recorded. Results (1)The ratio of S1/S2 in the group of severe preeclampsia 4.5±3.2 was significantly bigher than the group of gestational hypertension 2.2±1.1 and normal group 32.2±1.1(P<0.01).The ratio of D/S of the group of severe preeclampsia 1.1±0.3 Was significantly lower than the group of gestational hypertension 1.4±0.3 and normal group 31.4±0.2(P<0.01).(2)All cases of the normal group number 1 to number 3 and the group of gestational hypertension were found the ratio of D/S≥1.00,whereas 1 case(1/26,4%)of the group of mild preeclampsia and 4 cases(4/23.17%)of the group of severe preeclampsia were found the ratio of D/S<1.00.(3)The two cases of the pregnant wornen(including one woman died of cardiac arrest)with S1/S2>5.00 and D/S<1.00,who were in the group of severe preeclampsia, were sent to Intensive Care Unit after delivery. There were 4 cases(4/26,15%)and 6 cages(6/23,26%)of 1 minute Apgar score less than 7,7 cases(7/26,27%)and 6 cases(6/23,26%)sent to neonatal Intensive Care Unit,2 cases(2/26,8%)and 4 cases(4/23,17%)of neonatal death in the group of mild preeclampsia and in the group of severe preeclampsia, respectively. All newborns in the normal group number 1 to number 3 and the group of gestational hypertension were normal. Conclusions The cardiac reserve function of a pregnant woman with preeelampsia is decreased with the severity of preeclampsia and the parturient and neonatal results get worse. The distal technique of heart sound signal processing is a safe, harmless, simple and effective tool to measure cardiac reserve funotion of preeclampsia, and is worthy of widely used clinically.
