1.Effects of hyperglycemia and insulin intervention on the cerebral injury after ischemia-reperfusion in rats

Objective To study the effects of hyperglycemia plasma glucose and insulin intervention on the cerebral injury after ischemia-reperfusion in rats.Methods 160 male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups:sham operation group,normal plasma glucose group,hyperglycemia group and insulin intervention group(40 rats in each group).The rats of hyperglycemia and insulin intervention groups were given STZ to induce hyperglycemia model.All the rats except for those in the sham operation group were subjected to right middle cerebral artery occlusion and then reperfusion.The reperfusion was started at 1 h,6 h,12 h and 24 h after 2 h ischemia.The neurologic functional scores,infarct volume and numbers of neuron apoptosis of the rats were analyzed with the neurological severity score(NSS),TTC staining assay and TUNEL method,respectively after the 2ats wake up.Results Compared with normal plasma glucose group,worse neurological function score,larger infarct size and more number of apoptotic neurons were found in hyperglycemia group at the same reperfusion time(all P
2.A meta-analysis of ESRαrs2234693 polymorphism associated with pros-tate cancer risk

AIM:To investigate the pooled association between estrogen receptor α( ESRα) rs2234693 poly-morphism and prostate cancer risk .METHODS:A systematic literature search was performed to identify the related stud-ies (up to April 2014) in several online databases including PubMed , the CNKI and Wanfang online libraries .Odds ratios with 95%confidence intervals were used to calculate the strength of association in the random effect model .RESULTS:A total of 20 studies including 4 623 cases and 9 850 controls were enrolled in the final meta-analysis.The results indicated that ESRαrs2234693 polymorphism was significantly associated with prostate cancer risk (P<0.05) in a dominant genetic model.In the subgroup analysis by ethnicity , there were significant associations between ESRαrs2234693 polymorphism and prostate cancer risk in Caucasians ( P<0.05 ) , but not in Asians and Africans ( both P>0.05 ) .CONCLUSION:This meta-analysis suggests that ESRαrs2234693 polymorphism is significantly associated with prostate cancer risk , espe-cially in Caucasians .
3.Analysis of Genetic Relationship of Astragalus membranaceus and Codonopsis pilosula from Different Cultivars (Varieties) by ISSR

Objective To investigate the genetic relationships of Astragalus membranaceus and Codonopsis pilosula from the different cultivars (varieties). Methods Twenty-five samples of A. membranaceus and seventeen samples of C. Pilosula were amplified by ISSR-PCR. Genetic diversity and genetic distance were analyzed by Popgen32. UPGMA dendrogram relationship was clustered by NTSYS. Results Totally 62 and 100 loci were detected respectively from A. membranaceus and C. pilosula. All percentages of polymorphic loci (PPL) were 100%. Shannon’s information indexes (I) were 0.537 6 and 0.472 7. Nei’s genetic diversity indexes (H) were 0.361 3 and 0.307 4. A. membranaceus was divided into two groups in genetic distance 0.59, and C. pilosula was alike in 0.50. Conclusion Different cultivars (varieties) of A. membranaceus and C. pilosula had rich genetic diversities among species, and had large genetic differences.
4.Preliminary Comparison of Two Compression Methods for Ultrasonic Plane Wave Data

Ultrasonic plane wave imaging is one of the hot topics in the study of ultrasound imaging, but the plane wave ultra-high frequency ultrasound has brought a large amount of data. If these data are transmitted directly through the hardware, it will not only bring a great burden on the hardware, but also put a requirement for the ability of the hardware processing data. In order to reduce the problem caused by the high frame frequency and large amount of data, the data compression methods are used to reduce the amount of data acquisition and transmission. In this paper both lossy compression and lossless compression are studied, where LZW compression algorithm is chosen to test lossless compression effect, and based on the plane wave characteristics, the frequency domain cutting compression algorithm is developed as a lossy compression method. In this paper, the LZW algorithm is implemented in FGPA, and it can achieve a certain compression ratio after testing the ultra sonic simulation data. Under the condition of known fractional bandwidth, it is found that the main bandwidth can be preserved in the spectrum, while the rest of the frequency signal has little effect on the image. By testing the ultrasonic simulation data, the frequency domain cutting algorithm can achieve high compression ratio, and the difference between the original image and the reconstructed image is relatively smal . So from the point of the compression ratio, the frequency domain cutting algorithm is the primary choice of the ultrasonic data compression algorithm.
5.Automated radiolabeling and in vivo evaluation of 18F-FDOPA

Objective To synthesize 18F-fluoro-L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (18 F-FDOPA) and evaluate its biodistribution and kinetics in mice,in order to explore its feasibility for insulinoma detection.Methods 18F-FDOPA was synthesized by a three-step nucleophilic reaction.Radiolabeling yield,radiochemical purity and stability in vitro were analyzed.Normal mice were scarified at 2,5,15,30,60 and 120 min postinjection to measure radioactive counts in main organs.Biodistribution and kinetics were evaluated by dynamic microPET in normal mice.The insulinoma tumor (INS-1) model was established and dynamic microPET was performed immediately after intravenous injection and stopped at 60 min.Region of interest (ROI) was drawn to access time-activity curve (TAC) in main organs and insulinoma.Results 18F-FDOPA was prepared with radiochemical yield of (11.0±0.4) %,radiochemical purity of (99.3±0.2)%.The radiochemical purity was still >99% after being stored for 120 min at room temperature.Predominant uptake of 18F-FDOPA was in the kidneys,and was cleared rapidly in blood.Pancreas showed stable uptake from 20 to 50 min,which was (5.98±0.71) percentage activity of injection dose per gram of tissue (% ID/g) at 20 min and (4.62±0.47) %ID/g at 50 min postinjection,respectively.18 F-FDOPA showed high affinity to tumor tissue of insulinoma ((11.42±0.70) %ID/g) at 2 min.Conclusions 18F-FDOPA could be easily synthesized in short total reaction time with high radiochemical purity and stability.Early phase imaging of 18F-FDOPA may be helpful for insulinoma detection.
