1.A clinical study of interventional therapy for liver metastases from colorectal carcinoma

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and prognostic factors in patients with liver metastases from colorectal carcinoma treated by interventional therapy.Methods Follow up information of 80 patients with liver metastases from colorectal carcinoma were analyzed. The survival time and parameters were likely to affect the prognosis revealed by statistical methods. Results It was shown that the over all 0.5,1,2,3year survival rates were 100%,75.8%, 31.5% and 10.8% respectively. Univariate analysis showed that the age, the volume ratio of the tumors/liver, abundance of the tumor vessels, the retention of the lipiodol, resection of the original lesion and the difference of the tumor sizes between pre therapy and post therapy were the significant prognostic factors. Multivariate analysis showed that abundance of the tumor vessels and the difference of the tumor sizes between pre therapy and post therapy were the most significant factors. Conclusions The hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy and embolization are effective to patients with liver metastases from colorectal carcinoma proportionately to the tumor vascular abundance and primary lesion resection.

3.Analysis of questionnaire and clinical characteristics of 2,000 cases of dysmenorrheal.

Through the questionnaire survey of 2,000 patients with dysmenorrhea, the clinical characteristics of dysmenorrhea were investigated, and the reference basis for preventing and controlling dysmenorrhea was provided. The results found that the age of menarche, short menstrual cycle, by volume, long period of time has no obvious relationship with the occurrence of dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea main influence factors to feel cold; syndrome (symptoms) characteristics for the actual situation inclusions mainly, with severity, deficiency symptoms more obvious; in different degrees of dysmenorrhea, frequency of belly chills symptoms appear most, and cold coagulation and blood stasis syndrome (symptoms) appear higher frequency; The type of cold coagulation and blood stasis dysmenorrhea was 53.2%. Dysmenorrhea measures to select bed rest most, accounting for 79.6%. For severe dysmenorrhea in patients with drug choice to traditional Chinese combined with western medicine accounted for 43.4%. Selection of Chinese medicine formulations in patients with dysmenorrhea Decoction formulation accounted for the most 26.5%. The survey results, to avoid cold and have a positive effect on the prevention of dysmenorrhea, dysmenorrhea treatment should pay attention to warming channels to dispel cold.

5.Effect of 99Tc-methylenediphosphonate on cytonike-induced activation of retroocular fibroblasts with Graves ophthalmopathy

Background Graves ophthalmopathy is generally considered to be an organ-speeifie autoimmune disease.It was reported that 99Tc-methylenediphosphonate (99Tc-M)P) has therapeutic effect on Graves ophthalmopathy,though the mechanism has not been completely delineated.Objective This study was to explore the effects of 99Tc-MDP on the proliferation of retrooeular fihrohlasts (RFs) hyaluronic acid (HA) synthesis,and the expression rate of human leucocyte antigen-DR (HLA-DR) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in cultured RFs.Methods Retroocular connective tissue was obtained from 2 eyes with Graves ophthalmopathy during the orbital decompression surgery.RFs were cultured with explant culture method in DMEM medium with 20%fetal bovine serum.The cells of 2-7 generations were used in the study.Interferon γ (IEN-γ),interleukin-1 (IL-1),tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) was added in medium for 72 hours to stimulate the growth of the RFs,and then 10,100 and 1000 mg/L 99Tc-MDP was respectively used to co-culture the cells with IFN-γ,IL-1 or TNF-α.3H-TdR incorporation was used to detect the proliferation of RFs,and synthesis of HA,expression rate of HLA-DR and ICAM-1 in RFs were assayed by radio-immunoassay and flow cytometry,respeetively.Results Cultured cells showed the fibrous shape under the inverted microseope with the positive response for vimentin and absent response for cytokeratine.After addition of TNF-α,IFN-γ and IL-1,the proliferation value of RFs,HA level,the expression rate of HLA-DR and ICMA-1 in RFs was (4918.33±297.91) counts/min,(505.83±41.29)mg/L,(56.88±14.67)% and (63.57± 14.11)% respectively,showing significant differenee in comparison with normal control group(P<0.01).However,after co-culture of >100 mg/L 99Tc-MDP with TNF-α,IFN-γ and IL-1,the proliferation value of RFs,HA level,the expressing rates of HLA-DR and ICMA-1 were significantly lower than those in the TNF-α,IFN-γ and IL-1 only culture groups(P<0.01),but were still higher than those in the normal group.Conclusions 99Tc-MDP can suppress cytonike-induced activation and growth of RFs derived from Graves ophthalmopathy in vitro at a dosedependent manner.
6.Effect of intracerebroventricular injection of glutamic acid/MK-801/ketamine on morphine withdrawal syndrome in rats

Objective To study the relation between the level of central N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor system and the degree of morphine withdrawal syndrome in rats. Methods We established the morphine-dependence model in rats,stimulated addiction by naloxone after intracerebroventricular injection of glutamic acid/ketamine/MK-801,and then observed the effects on rats' morphine withdrawal syndrome. Results Glutamic acid significantly raised the behavior scores of teeth chattering,wet shakes,writhing,penis licking and weight loss,while ketamine and MK-801 decreased the scores. Conclusion Changes of central NMDA system obviously affect morphine withdrawal syndrome in rats,which may be useful laboratory evidence in selecting new no-opiod therapeutic medicine for morphine resistance and addiction.
7.HPLC fingerprint of Lobelia chinesis Lout

AIM:To establish the chromatographic fingerprints of Lobelia chinesis Lour.by RP-HPLC which may be potentially beneficial to the quality control in production.METHODS:Separation was performed on a Daiso C_ 18 column with methanol-water as mobile phase using gradient elution at flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.The UV detection wavelength was at 261 nm and the analysis time was up to 60 min.Total ten batches of Lobelia chinesis Lout.were studied.RESULTS:11 peaks were identified as the characteristic fingerprints of Lobelict chinesis Lour.under the above chromatographic conditions.CONCLUSION:The RP-HPLC fingerprint method is found to have satisfactory accuracy,stability and reproducibility.A potential method for the quality control of Lobelia,chinesis Lour.was established.
8.Effect of mycophenolate mofetil on matrix metalloproteinase-9 and transforming growth factor β1 expression in the kidneys of type 2 diabetic rats

Objective To evaluate the protective effects of mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) on the kidneys of diabetic rats and elucidate the associated mechanisms. Methods Wistar rats were divided into three groups: normal control rats, diabetic rats, and diabetic rats received and blood glucose were measured, and kidney pathology was observed. Inmmunohistochemistry and RT-PCR were used to analyze the expression of matrix metaUoproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and transforming growth factor 151 (TGF-β1). Results As compared with normal control rats, the 24 h urinary albumin excretion [(26.80±0.82) mg vs (6.64±1.42) mg], blood glucose[(22.18±3.36)mmol/L vs (6.40±0.87) mmol/L], Ccr [(0.220±0.380) ml/min vs (0.098±0.015) ml/min] of the diabetic rats were rised remarkbably. The 24 h urinary albumin excretion [(16.17±1.15) mg] and Ccr [(0.207±0.377) ml/min] of the diabetic rats received MMF were lower as compared to diabetic rats (P<0.05). MMP-9 in renal tissue of normal control rats was mainly expressed in glomerular mesangial ceils and renal tubular epithelial cells. Such MMP-9 expression was weak in diabetic rats and improved in the diabetic rats received MMF. There were significant differences among 3 groups. The expression of TGF-β1 was on the contrary. Conclusion Mycophenolate mofetil decreases 24 h urinary albumin, Cer and glomerular volume, which may be associated with the increase of MMP-9, the decrease of TGF-β1 expression and extracellular matrix deposition in renal tlssue.
9.Immunophenotype Analysis of Adult Patients with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Objective To study the immunophenotype and chromosome karyotype of 57 adult patients with newly?diagnostic acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL). Methods The immunophenotype and chromosome karyotype of 57 adult patients with newly?diagnostic ALL were determined by using flow cytometer and karyotyping,and then the clinical characteristics and significance were analyzed. Results In patients with B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B?ALL),the expression of CD19 and CD22 were significantly higher than CD10 and CD20(P<0.05). The expression of CD7 and CD3 were much higher in patients with T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(T?ALL). As for the early antigen,patients of all subtypes of ALL showed high expression rate of CD34 and CD38. In addition,the HLA?DR was only detected in B?ALL. There was no difference in comparison with clinical characteristics,total rate of CR and rate of relapse between ALL with and without myeloid antigen expression. The expression rate of CD34 and HLA?DR was higher in My+?ALL(P<0.05). The relapse rate was much higher in these patients with abnormal karyotype than other pa?tients(P<0.05). Patients with high?risk karyotype showed higher expression rates of CD20 and CD3 than those with standard?risk. Conclusion The immunophenotypes and chromosome karyotypes show obviously heterogeneous features,and the patients with abnormal karyotypes have higher relapse rate. These above mentioned methods are applicable for the diagnosis and individualized treatment of ALL patients.
10.Expression of Survivin,Caspase-3 and Bcl-2 in lung carcinoma

0.05). Conclusion:There is bigger difference process of tumor apoptosis between different cell types in the same topography site. Survivin may play adjuvant roles and Bcl-2 may play main roles in the inhibition of cell apoptosis in SCLC while the case is just reversed in NSCLC,it suggests that there were different apoptosis inducing factor and different apoptosis pathway due to different cell type in NSCLC and SCLC.
