Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(7):1101-1108
BACKGROUND:Anterior cruciate ligament injury can trigger knee instability, knee osteoarthritis which decreases human beings’ life quality. Exploration on non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury mechanism can prevent the occurrence of anterior cruciate ligament injury.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the mechanism of fatigue effect on non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury and to introduce the progression of fatigue effect on non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury in jump-landing activities.
METHODS:The author retrieved the PubMed database from 1988 to 2013 by computer. The key words were set as:ACL, landing, and fatigue. A total of 42 articles were included which related to biomechanics research on anterior cruciate ligament injury, fatigue landing and low-limb injury.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In jump-landing activities, knee valgus, moment, knee joint rotation and smal er knee flexion are main biomechanics underlying non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury. In addition, fatigue effect is another critical factor for non-contact anterior cruciate ligament injury. However, the cause-effect between fatigue effect and anterior cruciate ligament injury is not clearly investigated and summarized, especial y on fatigue level, fatigue induction and movement control. Introduction of fatigue induction is crucial for better understanding how fatigue effect results in anterior cruciate ligament injury. Thus, the quantification of fatigue level, fatigue models and landing ways wil provide new ideas for exploring biomechanical mechanism underlying anterior cruciate ligament injury in fatigue state, as wel as provide more information on intervention design and injury rehabilitation.

Objective To investigate diagnostic value of ectopic pregnancy by transvaginal sonography (TVCDS) combining with detection of blood β-human chorionie gonadotropin(β-HCG) and progesterone(P) level. Methods 96 ectopic pregnancy patients were exahined by TVCDS,and detected β-HCG and P in the same day or next day, every two days or several days reexamination of β-HCG and P were given to the hospitalization patients. Re-suits 96 ectopic pregnancy patients including massive type 76(79.1%) ,diameter (47.6±18.4) mm;embryo sac type 20(20.9%) ,showed embryo sac structure in ectopic pregnancy area, saw pulsation in saccus vitellinus and fetus vascular color, diameter (12.86±6.85)mm. 94(97.9%) displayed Doppler signals in ectopic pregnancy area, and 89(92.7%)cases were detected low resistivity nutrient artery flow spectrum by PW, the PI average value was (0.46±0.03).96 ectopic pregnancy patients' blood β-HCG and P level were significant low(P<0.01). Conclusion TVCDS combining with detection of β-HCG and P can raise early diagnosis level of ectopie pregnancy.
10.Diagnostic value of computer-aided diagnosis with three-dimensional volumetric measurement in solid pulmonary nodules on follow-up CT
Chinese Journal of Radiology 2009;43(4):351-355
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of computer-aided diagnosis with three-dimensional volumetric measurement in solid pulmonary nodules on follow-up CT. Methods Forty-six patients with 58 solid nodules were evaluated. Each patient underwent chest CT at least twice. The volume, doubling times(DTs) and volumetric growth rates(VGRs) of nodules were calculated with three-dimensional volumetric measurement software. If there were significant statistical differences in DTs between malignant and benign nodules, Nonparametric test was used to make the analysis. If there were significant statistical differences in upper DTs'values between malignant and benign nodules, X2 test was used to make the analysis.Final diagnosis of all nodule were confirmed by pathology or by response to diagnostic therapy or by clinical follow-up.Results The DTs of 13 malignant nodules were <400 days in 12 nodules, with a range from 45 to 465 days (median, 159 days) ; the VGRs ranged from 8% to 329% (median, 30.0%).The VGRs of 45 benign nodules ranged from -38% to 24% (median, 0%).The DTs of 24 benign nodules that increased or not changed in size were >400 days in 22 nodules, with a range from 302 days to 55 158 days (median, 2 704 days); the VGRs ranged from 0 to 24% (median, 6.5%. Twenty-one nodules that decreased in size had the VGRs ranging from -38% to -4% (median, - 16.0%), and the DTs of these nodules could not be calculated by software. There were significant statistical differences in DTs between malignant and benign nodules(P <0.05).Taking 500 days, 400 days and 300 days as the upper value for malignancies there were statistically significant differences in these values between malignant and benign nodules(P < 0.01).Their sensitivities were 100.0%, 92.3%, 76.9% respectively and specificities were 87.5%, 91.7%, 100.0% respectively.Accuracies were 91.9%, 94.6% ,91.9% respectively and positive predictive values were 8,11,0.Conclusions Taking 400 days as the upper DTs'value for malignancies has important diagnostic value. Computer-aided diagnosis with three-dimensional volumetric measurement is sensitive to the volume changes of solid pulmonary nodules on follow-up CT, and is useful in the differential diagnosis of pulmonary nodules.
