2.Photochemical tissue bonding in tissue repair
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2009;29(12):1407-1409
Suture was a traditional method for tissue repair. However, sutures used in the closure of surgical wounds can induce inflammation and lead to scarring that appears as crosshatch marks. Threads used for sutures may cause immune response and surgical infection. In this review, we introduce a novel sutureless technique for wound repair, called photochemical tissue bonding (PTB). Absorption of visible light by a photosensitizing dye initiates photochemical reactions leading to covalent protein-protein crosslinks that bridge the wound surfaces, thus producing an immediate seal between the wound surfaces. This technique has been applied in various tissues including skin, cornea, nerve, blood vessels, et al. PTB reduces inflammation resulting in less scarring in skin. PTB dramatically improves the incidences of vascular anastomotic leakage and stricture. In addition, PTB enhances the recovery of nerve function after nerve repair.

Journal of Endocrine Surgery 2015;(3):204-210
Objective To determine the quality of life of patients treated with one of three different types of surgery for breast cancer. Methods This was a cross-sectional study using a questionnaire survey completed by Chinese patients without active disease after at least 2 years of follow-up after breast cancer surgery. Results This study totally included 139 breast cancer patients:44 ( 31.6%) had undergone modified radical mastectomy with reconstruction, 41(29.5%)had a quadrantectomy with axillary lymph node dissection, and 54(38.9%)had a modified radical mastectomy without reconstruction. The EORTC QLQ-C30 and EORTC QLQ-BR23 question-naires were used;their reliability was>0.82.Global health status(94.30 ±12.04, P=0.028)and role functio-ning(85.16 ±17.23, P=0.138)were highest in the quadrantectomy group.Pain score was highest in the modi-fied radical mastectomy with reconstruction group(26.13 ±30.15, P =0.042).The breast symptom score (22.56 ±22.30, P=0.009)and body image perception(85.56 ±19.72, P=0.025)were highest in the conser-vative treatment group. The overall health of patients given modified radical mastectomy without reconstruction was lower(72.61 ±20.89, P=0.014) in women older than 50 years compared with younger women.Conclu-sions The quadrantectomy with axillary lymph node dissection procedure had better acceptance, but the overall health status did not differ between groups.Overall health status is lower in women older than 50 years receiving a modified radical mastectomy without reconstruction.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the relevant factors that led to the adverse drug reaction(ADR)of netilmicin.METHODS:ADR cases resulted from netilmicin reported in12kinds of Chinese periodicals from1998to2003were analyzed statistically.RESULTS:The ADR of netilmicin involved multiple organs and systems, the clinical manifestation were compli-cated and diversified, which manifested mainly on the renal toxicity, toxicity of nervous system and allergic reaction.CON-CLUSION:Clinician and pharmacists should be alert to the ADR of netilmicin and keep using drugs rationally.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2016;32(2):131-135
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation of serum copper levels and mental health in psychiatric shift nurses. Methods The participants were divided into day shift nurses(control group,n=60) and night shift nurses(n=60).The concentrations of trace mineral, serum biochemical levels, inflammatory and oxidative markers in blood samples of 120 shift nurses were measured. The depressive mood was measured with second edition of Chinese version of the Beck Depression Inventory,(BDI-Ⅱ).Results The night shift nurses showed moderate-to-severe depression levels, which were significantly higher than those of the day shift nurses,23.3% (14/60) and 11.7% (7/60) vs.6.7% (4/60)and 1.7% (1/60),x2=6.536,4.82,P < 0.05.Night-shift nurses also had higher levels of serum copper,hs-CRP,IL-6,T-SOD and Cu-Zn SOD than the control group,(19.57±4.14) μmol/L vs.(18.03±3.20) μmol/L,1.32(0.78-1.89) rng/L vs.0.89(0.45-1.44) mg/L,68.54 (51.43-96.78) ng/L vs.56.39 (35.56-78.71) ng/L,(66.78±14.72) kU/L vs.(47.32±17.84) kU/L,(54.22±14.91) kU/L vs.(48.17±17.23) kU/L,t=-3.133~-2.057,P <0.01 or 0.05.BDI-Ⅱ scores correlated positively with serum copper,hs-CRP,IL-6,T-SOD and Cu-Zn SOD,r=0.248-0.457,all P < 0.01.In night shift group, multivariate regression analysis showed that serum copper,hs-CRP,IL-6 and T-SOD (β=0.097-5.340,P< 0.01 or 0.05) were independently related factors influencing BDI-Ⅱ scores (R2 =0.609,P =0.000).Conclusions Serum copper may serve as an evaluation index for depressive mood in psychiatric shift nurses, and serum copper concentrations in night shift nurses should be monitored regularly.Clinical Trial Registry Chinese Clinical Trial Registry,ChiCTR-OOC-14005540.

Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
A myxobacterial strain, So ce cpu-1, was isolated from a soil sample near the Huanghai beach. So ce cpu-1 had broad antimicrobial activity, active component has maxima] absorption at 210 nm. The effects of different culture conditions on the yield of the secondary metabolites were investigated. The results showed that, when cultivating the strain in the M, medium (containing 10% w/v D312 neutral absorber resin ), the air up to 70% of the whole flask volume, adding 5?L the secondary metabolites as the revulsant, at 30℃, 200r/min, for 6 days, the yield of the secondary metabolites achieved the maximum.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(05):-
OBJECTIVE To observe the disinfection efficacy of nano-light catalytic air disinfector(Jian Bai Le disinfector) in ophthalmic outpatients operating room.METHODS The efficacy of disinfection of the disinfector in the operating room without and with staff was detected respectively. This efficacy of disinfection was compared with that of ultraviolet ray.RESULTS The average eliminated rate of natural bacteria in the air was 88.9% vs 89.7%,and the average bacterial colony number was 63.9 vs 75.0 CFU/m3,respectively,after disinfection by the disinfector or by ultraviolet ray without staff. When the device worked continuously with staff,Their average bacterial colony number was 26.6,92.2,150.0 and 155.3 CFU/m3,vs 150.2,166.7,355.1 and 738.4CFU/m3 in the period of 30,60,120 and 180 minutes after operation, respectively.CONCLUSIONS The bactericidal efficacy of disinfector is distinctly better than that of ultraviolet ray lamp.

Objective To investigate whether angiotensin Ⅱ (AngⅡ) can regulate the expression of MIF in macrophages via the NF-κB pathway. Methods Western Blot, real time RT-PCR and ELISA were used in the present study. Results Western blot result showed that the expression of NF-κBp65 gradually increased with the increase of the concentration of AngⅡ. Results of real time RT-PCR and ELISA revealed that MIF mRNA expression and the content of MIF were significantly higher in AngⅡ group than those in the control group. PDTC could reverse the effect of AngⅡ on MIF mRNA expression and MIF secretion in macrophages. Conclusion AngⅡ can promote MIF mRNA expression and MIF secretion in macrophages via the NF-κB signaling pathway.
