The impact of key physical properties on granulated products by the high-speed mixing wet method was studied. Andrographis extracts were utilized as the model drug. Four processing methods were adopted to prepare mixed powder of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) and starch with the mass ratio 1:0.5, 1:1 and 1:2 by the high-speed mixing wet method. The properties of the prepared granules were evaluated with such indexes as granule yield, the ratio of lumps and fine powder, granule-AOR and granule-HR. The impact of key physical properties on granulated products was analyzed through stepwise regression analysis. The results showed that angle of repose, moisture content, pore volume, density and contact angle with water were key physical properties of the powder. The key physical properties of Chinese medical extracts powder are the important factor impacting granulated products made by the high-speed mixing wet method. In this study, the impact of key physical properties on granulated products of Chinese medical extracts was analyzed from the physical angle.

OBJECTIVETo study the relationship between gene p53 codon 72 polymorphism and pathological scar formation occurrence after caesarean section.
METHODSThe method of molecular beacon with real-time PCR was applied to detect gene polymorphism of p53 codon 72 in blood samples taken from 303 pregnant women (within a week after caesarea section). The clinical visits were taken 3 times for 12th to 18th months to ascertain clinical formation of pathological scar and its relationship to genotype of p53. The chi-square method was used to analyze the relationship of p53 gene polymorphism and abnormal scar formation occurrence by statistical software SPSS 13.0.
RESULTSTotal of 303 pregnant women were assayed. 30 patients were found with pathological scar by clinical visit in the total 303 pregnant women. The genotype frequencies of total three types (C/C, C/G and G/G) of p53 gene codon 72 in patients with pathological scar are significantly different from that of normal pregnant woman. The frequency of C/C genotype in patients are higher than that of normal pregnant women (P < 0.01). The frequency of C/C genotype in these patients with pathological scar is higher (46.7%, 14/30) than C/G (33.0%, 10/30, P < 0.01) or G/G (20%, 6/30) genotype (P < 0.01). The C allele frequency in the patients is 63.7%. It is also higher than G allele (36.7%, P < 0.01). The OR value is 2.30. Therefore the C allele of p53 gene codon 72 is a risk factor for pathological scar.
CONCLUSIONSThere was a certain relationship between p53 gene codon 72 C allele and pathological scar formation after caesarean section.

Three fresh lungs removed from three male adult dogs were injected with ABS. This material was injected into each lobe of the lung through the pulmonary artery and bronchus simultaneously. The pressure was maintained between 200~280 mmHg. The injected specimens were digested in 20~50% HCl and peptic solutions for 7~10 days. A part of the cast replicas of the lungs was taken off and gilded with EIKO IB-3. Under SEM (HITACHIS~450) the specimens thus prepared were observed. The chief findings were as follows:Scanning electron micrographs of the injected vascular system presented a clear, three-dimensional picture of extensive capillary networks around the individual alveoli. In the septa between alveoli the capillary networks appeared to be a single layer. These networks looked like pentagonal or hexagonal rings; the meshes in between them were smaller than the vessels themselves. The capillaries observed here in the scanning stereopicture belonged to the category of the alvioli cappilary of the subpleura; the meshes of which were larger than those of other parts.Because the numerous alveoli and capillary networks surrounding the alveoli were filled with the ABS, the position and the shape of the capillary networks can be seen very clearly. The lumen of the alveoli were polyhedron in shape, various in sizes and smooth in contour. Many imprints of the alveolar type Ⅱ cell nuclei existed on the surface. The bridge formation between alveoli were really interalveolar pores; their number and diameter varied. The function of the interalveolar pores was briefly considered in this paper.
