Selective salpingogram(SSG)and hysterosalpingography(HSG)have achieved fairly reliable diagnostic value. SSG and transcervical fallopian tube recanalization(T-FTR)possess rather credible therapeutic value,long-term effect and low risk. Recanalization rate and pregnancy rate,combining with the measurement of tubal perfusion pressures(TPP)and development of ultrasonic technology,can evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety more generally and objectively. Researches in the future should lay emphasis on developing non-radiologic technique,promoting diagnostic veracity,reducing side effects,and establishing randomly control trials together with consolidating the standardized evaluation criteria.(J Intervent Radiol,2007,16: 714-717)

Objective:To study the curative effect of hydrotalcite combined with omeprazole in the treatment of gastric ulcer with gastric bleeding. Methods:Seventy-six patients with gastric ulcer and bleeding in the stomach were selected and randomly divided into two groups. Thirty-two patients in the control group were treated with omeprazole alone while 44 patients in the observation group were treated with hydrotalcite combined with omeprazole. The therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was 100% while that was 87. 5% in the control group,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0. 05). The comprehensive score of symptoms of the patients in the observation group was(4. 2 ± 1. 2)while that was(6. 2 ± 1. 4)in the control group,and the difference was significant(P<0. 01). The abdominal pain,abdominal distention and belching remission time in the observation group were slightly shorter than those in the control group(P<0. 05)and the time of hematemesis and hemafecia remission was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P<0. 05). After the 3-month treatment,the re-bleeding rate in the observation group was 6. 82%,which was slightly better than that in the control group,and the difference had no statistical significance(P<0. 05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 9. 09% while that was 6. 25% in the control group,and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0. 05). Conclusion:Hydro-talcite combined with omeprazole in the treatment of gastric ulcer with gastric bleeding is effective and safe.

AIM:To establish the chromatographic fingerprints of Lobelia chinesis Lour.by RP-HPLC which may be potentially beneficial to the quality control in production.METHODS:Separation was performed on a Daiso C_ 18 column with methanol-water as mobile phase using gradient elution at flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.The UV detection wavelength was at 261 nm and the analysis time was up to 60 min.Total ten batches of Lobelia chinesis Lout.were studied.RESULTS:11 peaks were identified as the characteristic fingerprints of Lobelict chinesis Lour.under the above chromatographic conditions.CONCLUSION:The RP-HPLC fingerprint method is found to have satisfactory accuracy,stability and reproducibility.A potential method for the quality control of Lobelia,chinesis Lour.was established.

Objective To explore the influencing factors of disabled elderly caregivers' resilience,and to provide evidence for further intervention studies.Method Totally 221 caregivers in several communities were investigated with self-design general questionnaire,Activity of Daily Living Scale (ADL),ConnerDavidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC) Chinese version,Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ),General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES) and Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS).Results The caregivers' resilience score was 59.99 ± 15.86,at a medium level and lower compared with normal population (t =-5.07,P＜0.01).It was positively correlated with the positive coping(r=0.468,P＜0.01),general self-efficacy (r=0.546,P＜0.01)and perceived (r=0.372,P＜0.01).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed the positive coping,self-efficacy and social support of caregivers were influencing factors of caregivers' resilience (P＜0.01).Conclusion Disabled elderly caregivers' resilience is lower than the general population,and implementation of the intervention should be taken according to different resilience levels at clinical practice.

BACKGROUND:Animal models of osteoporosis play an important role in the research of the pathogenesis, occurrence and development of osteoporosis, as wel as in the clinical diagnosis, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. OBJECTIVE: To summarize and discuss the establishment and research ideas of osteoporosis models, explore the current situation and advance of osteoporosis models, compare the advantages and disadvantages of various methods, and provide evidence for clinical investigation. METHODS: A computer-based online search was conducted in SinoMed, VIP, Wanfang and PubMed databases by using the key words of “animal model, osteoporosis” from January 1969 to October 2015. The language was limited to both Chinese and English. Relevant articles were screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The documents about the methods of osteoporosis model preparation, method improvement as wel as their advantage and disadvantage were summarized. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:A total of 576 articles were included. Among them, articles published earlier, duplicated, and similarly were excluded, and 53 articles were finaly included. Various animal models of osteoporosis may only focus on the certain causes, certain stage, some of the main symptoms and some pathophysiological changes of disease. Accordingly, appropriate modeling methods and experimental animals should be selected based on research objective. Rat undergoing castration is the most commonly used model in the modeling of osteoporosis. Among drug methods for constructing osteoporosis model, glucocorticoids is the most commonly used one. Objective: To evaluate the bioavallability and bioequivalence of rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated pellets capsules. Methods:A randomized crossover design was performed in 32 healthy male volunteers. A single oral dose of 20 mg rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated pellets capsules ( test preparation) or enteric-coated shell capsules ( the reference capsules) was administrated under fed conditions. The wash period was 7 days. The blood samples were collected at different time points. The concentration of rabeprazole in plasma was determined by an LC-MS/MS method. The pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by DAS 3. 0 software and the bio-equivalence was evaluated. Results:The maln pharmacokinetic parameters of the two formulations were shown as follows:T1/2 of (2. 20 ± 0. 83)h and(1. 951 ± 0. 515)h,Tmax of (3. 88 ± 1. 11)h and(4. 64 ± 1. 504)h,Cmax of (401. 06 ± 170. 75)ng·ml-1 and(394. 63 ± 215.64)ng·ml-1,AUC0→t of (918.42 ±427.39)ng·h·ml-1 and (994.49 ±520.73)ng·h·ml-1, and AUC0→∞ of(937.30 ± 445.13)ng·h·ml-1 and(1 011.69 ±534.77)ng·h·ml-1. The analysis showed that the maln pharmacokinetic parameters of the two formulations had no significant differences(P>0. 05) except for Tmax(P<0. 05). The relative bioavallability of rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated pellets capsules was (99. 80 ± 7. 20) %. Conclusion:Compared with the reference capsules, rabeprazole sodium enter-ic-coated pellets capsules show the property of higher dispersion degree, milder influence from food, more rapid release and absorption. The enteric-coated pellets capsules and the reference capsules are bioequivalence.

BACKGROUND: Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), a kind of polypeptide growth factor possessing multifunctional biological activities,can protect neurons and promote the growth of nerves. It has been corfirmed that bFGF has therapeutic effects on retina ischemia/reperfusion injury (RIRI).OBJECTIVE: To establish RIRI model and analyze the effects of bFGF on cellular apoptosis of retina and the expression of regulatory gene protein.DESIGN: Randomized grouping and validating trial.SETTING: Department of Ophthalmology, the Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Qingdao University.MATERIALS: The experiment was conducted at the Research Laboratory of Pathology, Department of Ophthalmology, Medical College of Qingdao University, from April 2002 to December 2003. Twenty-eight healthy Wistar rats were enrolled in this experiment. Four rats were randomly chosen for normal control group, the left eyes of the other 24 rats were set as normal saline control group, and the right eyes were set as bFGF group.METHODS: Normal saline control group and bFGF group adopted the rat RIRI models established by transiently elevating intraocular pressure. Normal saline of 12 μL was injected into the vitreous cavity of the left eyes of the rats in normal control group. 12 μL bFGF was injected into the vitreous cavity of the right eyes of the rats in bFGF group, 4 rats once. No administration was given in normal control group. The expression of apoptotic cells was detected and apoptosis indexes were calculated with the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick-end labeling (TUNEL) method and immunohistochemical staining method at the 1st, 6th,12th, 24th,48th and 72nd hours after reperfusion and ischemia for 1 hour.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① The detection results of apoptotic cells in situ of retina tissuesat different time points after reperfusion. ②The expression of Fas and caspases-2 in retina tissues at different time points after reperfusion.RESULTS ① Comparison of apoptosis indexes of retina tissues at different time points after ischemia reperfusion: There were no apoptotic cells in the retina tissues of the rats in normal control group. As compared with those in normal saline control group, apoptosis indexes in bFGF group were significantly decreased at ischemia 1 hour and reperfusion 1, 6, 12, 24, 48and 72 hours, especially at the 12th, 24th and 48th hours after reperfusion (t =5.362-5.595, P ＜ 0.05). ② The change of Fas expression at different time points after ischemia reperfusion: There was hardly any Fas expression in normal control group. As compared with that in normal saline control group, Fas expression in bFGF group was significantlydecreased at ischemia 1 hour and reperfusion 1, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours, especially at the 6th, 12th and 24th hours after reperfusion (t=3.954-9.327, P ＜ 0.05). ③The changes of caspase-2 expression at different time points after ischemia reperfusion: There was no caspase-2 expression in normal control group.Compared with that in normal saline control group, the number of caspase2 positive cells in bFGF group was significantly decreased at the 6th,12th,24th, 48th and 72nd hours after ischemia for 1 hour and reperfusion (t=4.125-15.641, P ＜ 0.05).CONCLUSION: bFGF can significantly inhibit the expression of apoptosis gene Fas and caspase-2 in the ischemia and reperfusion of retina, thus reducing cellular apoptosis of ganglion cells and exerting therapeutic effects on the ischemia and reperfusion of retina.

BACKGROUND:Retinal diseases are caused by damage or apoptosis of the retinal cel s and lack of ideal treatment. Induced pluripotent stem cel s have self-renewal ability and differentiation potential. A new potential source from which to produce stem cel s as a therapeutic platform for the treatment of retinal diseases and avoid ethics issues is the research focus currently.
OBJECTIVE:To review recent advancement of induced pluripotent stem cel s and the potential utility for retinal diseases.
METHODS:The first author searched related articles published from 2006 to 2011 by computer retrieval in PubMed database using the keywords of“induced pluripotent stem cel s, retinal, photoreceptor, retinal pigment epithelium, retinal ganglion cel”in English. Final y, total y 42 papers were involved.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Induced pluripotent stem cel s can be induced to differentiate into retinal cel s which have a possibility to be used as donor cel s for transplantation therapies. Patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cel s can be used as disease models for mechanistic studies and drug screening. It is a promising therapy for retinal degenerative diseases. However, some problems stil remain, such as risk of teratoma formation and low efficiency of somatic cel s to be successful y induced into induced pluripotent stem cel s. It stil requires further more studies.
