Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(01):-
Objective: To study the thermal expansion compatibili ty of a newly developed low temperature compensatory die stone (CDS) with Al 2O 3 base coping and to determine its setting time and setting expansion rate. Methods: Using HDS (Hieraus Die Stone ) as control. The ther mal expansion compatibility of CDS with Al 2O 3 was determined with TMA method on Du point 2100 thermometer;the setting time and setting expansion rate of CDS were measured with routine technique. Results: CDS showed much smaller thermal expansion with Al 2O 3 base coping than HDS.When the wa ter/powder ratio increased from 0.20 to 0.30,the setting time (h) of CDS increas ed from 12.75?0.7546 to 19.85?0.7472,that of HDS from 12.25?0.7169 to 24.00? 0.8165. The setting expansion of CDS was similar to that of HDS at various water /powder ratio. Conclusion: CDS has suitable thermal expans ion compatibility with Al 2O 3, it also has proper setting time and setting ex pansion rate to meet the clinical needs.

Objective To develop a new type of electrochemical immunosensor for the detection of ochratoxin A (OTA ) . Methods Double layers of self‐assembly immunosensor for the detection of OTA were constructed based on the composite single‐walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs)/chitosan(CS) membrane immobilized on glassy carbon electrode(GC) .Scanning electron mi‐croscopy(SEM) ,square wave voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry were used to analyze the characterization of the sensor ,then its specificity for detection was studied .Results SWNTs/CS composit membrane could increase the sensitivity of OTA detection sig‐nificantly ,and effectively distinguish the different types of mycotoxins .Conclusion The electrochemical immunosensor developed in the study is easy to operate and could detect OTA rapidly with good specificity and low detection limit .

220.6 ?mol/L in serums. Conclusions TORCH infection is common in infantile hepatitis in hospital. The infection rates caused by CMV are higher than those caused by HSV,TOX,RV and the rate caused by TOX is lower than others, and then the injury of liver caused by CMV is more severe than others.Neonates less than 7 days always have more organs injuried than the elders.

Objective To investigate the value of high-frequency ultrasound in diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma by comparative analysis of high-frequency ultrasound and spiral CT imaging results. Methods The imaging results of patients with thyroid carcinoma proved by postoperative pathology or biopsy results were reviewed.High-frequency ultrasound and spiral CT were used to examine the 35 patients in The Tumor Hospital of Harbin Medical University between 2007 and 2009. Results Diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma by application of Highfrequency ultrasound were 27 cases, diagnosis rate was 77.1%(27/35);by spiral CT were 25 cases, diagnosis rate was 71.4% (25/35);comparison of the two methods showed no significant difference (x2= 0.3, P > 0.05). Combined application of high-frequency ultrasound and spiral CT diagnosed 33 patients with thyroid carcinoma, diagnosis rate was 94.3%(33/35), which was significantly higher than that of high-frequency ultrasound alone or that of spiral CT alone(compared with high-frequency ultrasound, x2 = 4.2, P < 0.05;and spiral CT, x2 = 6.4, P < 0.05). Conclusion Combined application of high-frequency ultrasound and spiral CT can improve the diagnosis rate of thyroid carcinoma.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a sodium hyaluronate-containing dressing for skin wound healing after Q-switched laser therapy. Methods Sixty-six patients with facial pigmentary disorders were enrolled in this study. After treatment with Q-switched laser, the patients were randomly and equally divided into three groups to apply a sodium hyaluronate-containing dressing,a thermal spring water-containing facial mask and a distilled water-containing facial mask respectively. The dressing or facial masks were externally applied to the face for 15 minutes once immediately after the laser therapy, then, once every night for 14 consecutive days.Inflammatory responses, such as erythema, edema and burning sensation, were measured semi-quantitatively on day 1,3,7 and 14 separately after the laser therapy. The time for skin wound healing and degree of patients' satisfaction were compared among these groups by chi-square test and rank sum test, respectively. Results The sodium hyaluronate-containing dressing and thermal spring watercontaing facial mask were superior to the distilled water-containing facial mask in the improvement of erythema, edema and burning sensation after the laser therapy (all P < 0.05).Compared with the patients applying the thermal spring water-containg facial mask and those applying the distilled water-containing facial mask, those applying the sodium hyaluronate-containing dressing felt better, with significantly increased skin cleanliness, humidity, smoothness, confort degree and overall satisfaction (all P < 0.05).Conclusion The sodium hyaluronate-containing dressing is effective for improving acute inflammatory responses and increasing skin cleanliness, humidity and smoothness after laser therapy.

Objective To describe the clinical characteristics of a patient with Gitelman syndrome, and to identify the associated SLC12A3 gene mutations. Methods A suspected case of teenager-onset Gitelman syndrome was observed in our hospital. It was further confirmed by clinical manifestations and auxiliary examination. In addition, direct sequencing for the exons of SLC12A3 gene and CLCNKB gene region was conducted to identify the probable disease-associated mutations. Results The case showed characteristics of hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia, and low level of urinary calcium and onset by age of 18.By excluding the possibilities of long-term use of thiazide diuretics, laxatives, chronic vomiting and diarrhea,he was finally diagnosed as a case of Gitelman syndrome.Furthermore,by Sanger direct sequencing,2 coding variations were identified in SLC12A3 gene region, including T304M and L488P.L488P was a new heterozygous mutation. Conclusion Detection of SLC12A3 gene mutation could facilitate the diagnosis of Gitelman syndrome and improve prognosis.

Objective To analyze the clinical, radiological and pathological features of primary leiomyosarcoma of bone and to im-prove the diagnostic level. Methods Totally 6 cases of PLB proved by pathology were collected in our study. The clinical,radiologi-cal and pathological findings were retrospectively analyzed, and combined with the relevant literature to have a comprehensive analy-sis.Results The lesions of 6 patients were solitary, located in femoral (1 case),distal femur (1 case),proximal tibia (2 cases),is-chium (1 case)and humerus (1 case). There was no periosteal reaction in all 6 cases but they all had soft tissue mass, sometimes there may have some mineralization within the tumor.Ill-defined osteolytic bone destruction was detected in 5 patients, while expan-sion of cystic bone destruction was found in the other 1 patients.3 cases had hardened edge,2 cases with adjacent bone cortical thickening. The MR imaging in 5 patients showed iso-intensity signal on T1 WI,a slightly inhomogeneously higher signal on T2 WI and a significant heterogeneously enhancement after injected of Gd-DTPA.Another 1 patient showed a double ring sign, the central area onT1 WI and T2 WI expressed heterogeneous slightly higher signal, the peripheral annular zone was iso-intensity on T1 WI and slightly higher on T2 WI,after injected contrast medium,it was inhomogeneous enhancement. In immunohistochemically, all tumors reacted positively with SMA,3 patients with Desmin and Vimentin positive,2 patients with Ki-67 positive, and there had some scat-tered cells with CD68 positive, but the S-100 were all negative. Conclusion The clinical, radiological and conventional histological manifestations of PLB are not specific.Immunohistochemical and/or ultrastructural analysis who displayed smooth muscle differenti-ation can confirm the diagnosis.
