The objective of this article is to research magnetic resonance compatibility for coronary mental stents, and to evaluate the magnetic resonance compatibility based on laboratory testing results. Coronary stents magnetic resonance compatibility test includes magnetically induced displacement force test, magnetically induced torque test, radio frequency induced heating and evaluation of MR image. By magnetic displacement force and torque values, temperature, and image distortion values to determine metal coronary stent demagnetization effect. The methods can be applied to test magnetic resonance compatibility for coronary mental stents and evaluate its demagnetization effect.

Objective To investigate the natural head position and cervical posture in the patients with different vertical facial patterns with skeletal class Ⅰ relationship,and to clarify the relationships between vertical facial patterns and natural head position, cervical posture in the patients with skeletal class Ⅰ relationship. Methods 94 patients aged 8- 15 years old with skeletal class Ⅰ relationship were selected as the subjects.The subjects were classified into high angle group,average angle group,and low angle group according to their mandibular plane angles.The cephalometric radiographs in natural head position were taken,and the variables representing craniofacial morphology,head position,and craniocervical posture were measured.The intergroup differences in variables were compared.Results The inclinations of mandible to the true vertical and cervical column (ML/VER,ML/OPT,ML/CVT)were smallest in high angle group,and they were largest in low angle group (P <0.01);other variables representing head posture and craniocervical posture (NSL/VER,FH/VER,NSL/OPT,NL/OPT,NSL/CVT,FH/CVT)were largest in high angle group,and they were smallest in low angle group (P <0.05).The inclinations of ramus to cervical column (RL/OPT,RL/CVT)were largest in high angle group and they were smallest in low angle group (P <0.01).There were no significant differences in the inclinations of cervical column and cervical lordosis (OPT/HOR,CVT/HOR,OPT/CVT)among three groups (P >0.05). Conclusion The significant differences exist in natural head position and cervical posture among the patients with skeletal class Ⅰ relationship with different vertical facial patterns (high angle,average angle,low angle);the subjects with high angle show extended head position and cervical posture,while the subjects with low angle exhibit the opposite tendency.

BACKGROUND:Posterior capsulotomy with Nd-YAG laser is the main method in clinic for the treatment of after-cataract, but it often damages the intraocular lens during the treatment.
OBJECTIVE:To research the effect of Nd-YAG laser damage on the intraocular lens optical properties based on the laboratory testing.
METHODS:Ten hydrophobic acrylic intraocular lenses were col ected as the test samples, and then Nd-YAG
laser with the pulse energy of 5.0 mJ was used for 50 single-pulse laser shooting on the center of a circle with the diameter of 3 mm on the back surface of each sample. The shapes of the damaged area on the samples were
observed under scanning electron microscope after laser shooting. Optical analyzer was used to test the average optical power and optical power distribution.
RESUTLS AND CONCLUSION:The intraocular lenses were observed under scanning electron microscope
under 40 times and 1 000 times enlargement and showed that there was circle-like depression with the diameter about 50μm on the back surface of the intraocular lenses, and there was protruding around the depression.
Intraocular lens optical analyzer test results showed that there was no significant change in the average optical power of intraocular lenses after laser damage, but the optical power distribution was changed significantly. In the
center of the circle with the diameter of 3 mm, the optical power showed annular distribution radiating to the surrounding tissue with the center of circle-like depression area. The Nd-YAG laser damage has less effect on the optical power, but has great effect on the optical power distribution of intraocular lenses.

Objective To study the 18F-FDG PET/CT features of tuberculous and malignant diffuse peritoneal lesions and to discuss the diagnostic value of 18F-FDG PET/CT in diagnosing and differentiating the lesions. Methods The 18F-FDG PET/CT features of 72 patients with tuberculous peritonitis,28 primary serous papillary carcinoma of the peritoneum and 135 peritoneal metastases confirmed by clinic and/or histopathology, were retrospectively reviewed. The peritoneal thickening features of tuberculous and malignant peritoneal lesions were observed. The maximal standardized uptake value (SUVmax) of peritoneal lesions and ascites, ascites SUVmax/liver SUVmax (T/NT) were compared between tuberculous peritonitis and cancerous peritonitis. The ROC curve was used to analyze the diagnostic efficiency of T/NT, SUVmax of peritoneal lesions and ascites. Results The typical 18F-FDG PET/CT features of tuberculous peritonitis were uniformity thickening of parietal peritoneum, mesenteric and omental stain like changes, widely and even distribution of the peritoneal 18F-FDG, while the cancerous peritonitis was obvious uneven thickening of parietal peritoneum, mesenteric and omental nodules and pie-shape changes, uneven distribution of the peritoneal 18F-FDG. The degree of 18F-FDG uptake was increased in all peritoneal lesions, and there was no significant difference between the tuberculous group (SUVmax=10.53±5.44) and the cancerous group (SUVmax=11.45±6.78, t=1.017, P>0.05). The 18F-FDG concentration in malignant ascites (SUVmax=1.88±0.65,T/NT=0.73± 0.18) was obvious higher than that of tuberculous ascites (SUVmax=1.67±0.69,T/NT=0.57±0.27, t=2.243 and 5.045,both P<0.05). The area under the ROC curve of T/NT, SUVmax of ascites, SUVmax of peritoneal lesions were 0.707, 0.593, 0.536, respectively. Conclusion The 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging can reflect the morphology and metabolic changes of peritoneal lesions. It is important to combine the SUVmax of ascites in order to improve the efficiency of diagnosing the diffuse peritoneal diseases.

Objective To investigate clinical and imaging features of corticobasal degeneration syndrome (CBDS). MethodsA clinical, imaging and therapeutic analysis of 4 cases of clinically diagnosed with corticobasal degeneration was conducted. Results Asymmetric parkinsonism was the first symptom in all 4 cases who lacked of response to levodopa. Other symptoms including limb apraxia and anarthria occurred in all 4 cases,myoclonus occurred in three,dementia occurred in two,and involuntary movement occurred in one. All the patients had asymmetric frontoparietal cortical atrophy in the contralateral to the dominantly affected limbs on MRI.Asymmetric hypometabolism of the frontoparietal cortex and basal ganglia was observed on 18 F-FDG PET in all 4 cases.ConclusionsThe clinical features of CBDS are asymmetric parkinsonism,dementia,apraxia,anarthria,myoclonus,and involuntary movement.Brain MRI and 18 F-FDG PET are helpful to diagnosis of CBDS.There is no effective treatment for CBDS at this time.

Objective To investigate the brain glucose metabolism in different stage of mixed-type multiple system atrophy (MSA).Methods Forty-six MSA patients with cerebellar or Parkinsonian symptoms and 18 healthy controls with similar age as patients were included.According to the disease duration,the patients were divided into three groups: group 1 (≤ 12 months,n=14),group 2 (13-24 months,n=13),group 3 (≥ 25 months,n =19).All patients and controls underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT brain imaging.To compare metabolic distributions between different groups,SPM 8 software and two-sample t test were used for image data analysis.When P＜0.005,the result was considered statistically significant.Results At the level of P＜0.005,the hypometabolism in group 1 (all t＞3.49) was identified in the frontal lobe,lateral temporal lobe,insula lobe,anterior cingulate cortex,caudate nucleus and anterior cerebellar hemisphere.The regions of hypometabolism extended to posterolateral putamen and part of posterior cerebellar hemisphere in group 2 (all t＞3.21).In group 3,the whole parts of putamen and cerebellar hemisphere were involved as hypometabolism (all t＞4.08).In addition to the hypometabolism regions,there were also stabled hypermetabolism regions mainly in the parietal lobe,medial temporal lobe and the thalamus in all patient groups (all t＞3.27 in group 1,all t＞3.02 in group 2,all t＞3.30 in group 3).Conclusions Disease duration is closely related to the FDG metabolism in the MSA patients.Frontal lobe,lateral temporal lobe,anterior cingulate cortex and caudate nucleus can be involved at early stage of the disease.Putaminal hypometabolism begins in its posterolateral part.Cerebellar hypometabolism occurs early at its anterior part.Besides,thalamus shows hypermetabolism in the whole duration.18F-FDG metabolic changes of brain can reflect the development of mixed-type MSA.

ObjectiveTo determine endometrial thickness, endometrial volumeand, endometrial and subendometrial blood flows, by using transvaginal two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound examination and to compare the value of all the parameters in the prediction of endometrial receptivity during in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) cycles.MethodsOne hundred and twenty patients undergoing IVF cycles were recruited for this study. Transvaginal 2D and 3D ultrasound examination was performed to determine endometrial thickness, endometrial volume, pulsatility index (PI), resisitance index (RI) , systolic/diastolic ratio (S/D) of endometrial, subendometrial blood flows , vascularization index (VI), flow index (FI) and vascularization flow index (VFI) of endometrial and subendometrial regions by experienced sonographers on the day of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) injection. Statistical comparison was carried out by Mann-Whitney test. The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was applied and the area under the curve (AUC) was calculated. Statistic analyses were performed using SPSS 13.0. The two-tailed value of was considered statistically significant.ResultsThere were no significant differences between the pregnant group and non-pregnant group in endometrial thickness, endometrial volume (P>0.05). Patients in the pregnant group had lower PI, RI and S/D of endometrial and subendometrial blood flows than those in the non-pregnant group (Z=-3.811,-3.097,-2.071, P=0.001, 0.001, 0.038), with statisticalsignificant difference. Patients in the pregnant group had higher VI, FI and VFI of endometrial and subendometrial regions than those in the non-pregnant group (Z=-1.970,-2.698,-1.981, P=0.490, 0.007, 0.048;Z=-2.098,-2.090,-2.115,P=0.036, 0.037, 0.034), with statistical significant difference. ConclusionsEndometrial and subendometria blood flows measured by transvaginal 2D and 3D ultrasound can be as a reliable indicator to assess endometrial receptivity and predict the pregnancy outcome. Among all the endometrial and subendometrial blood flow parameters, VI of endometrial and subendometrial are better predicators.

Objective To study the present situation of legionella pneumophila(Lp) infection of low respiratory tract infection in children less than 5 years old.Methods Three hundred hospitalized patients with the diagnosis of low respiratory tract infection were enrolled in the study,191 males,109 females,aged 27 d to 5 years old,course from 1 d to 6 months.Serum antibody(IgM,IgG) of Lp serogroup 1-7 was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results In the patients,17 cases were positive,and the positive rate was 5.67%.Of the 17 children,the males(n=11) and females(n=6) did not significantly influence the positive rate(5.76% vs 5.50%).Four of them were between 27 days and 1 year old;7 were 1 to 3 years old,6 were 3 to 5 years old.The positive rates were significantly different among the 3 groups(2.53% vs 7.37% vs 12.77%) and tendentially increased following the increase of age(?2=7.8164 P

Objective To investigate the role of endometrial and subendometrial blood flows measured by transvaginal three-dimensional(3D) power Doppler ultrasound in the prediction of endometrial receptivity during in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) cycles. Methods One hundred and twenty patients undergoing IVF-ET cycles were enrolled in this study. Transvaginal 3D power Doppler ultrasound examination was performed on the day of human chorionic gonadotropin injection to determine endometrial thickness,endometrial volume, vascularization index(VI), flow index(FI) and vascularization flow index (VFI) of endometrial and subendometrial regions by experienced sonograpbers. The patients were divided into pregnant group and non-pregnant group according to pregnant outcome. The data between the two groups were compared and analysed. Results There were no significant differences( P ＞0.05) between the pregnant group and non-pregnant group in endometrial thickness, endometrial volume. Endometrial and subendometrial VI,FI, VFI were higher in the pregnant group than those in the non-pregnant group, and statistical comparison had significant difference( P ＜0.05). Conclusions Endometrial and subendometrial blood flows measured by transvaginal 3D power Doppler ultrasound can be as a reliable indicator to assess endometrial receptivity and to predict the pregnancy outcome.
