Objective To study the relation between IL-8 gene-251A/T polymorphism and delayed Alzheimer's disease (AD)in Xinjiang Han people .Methods Eighty delayed AD patients served as a delayed AD group and 80 subjects undergoing physical examination served as a control group in this study .Distribution of IL-8 gene-251A/T polymorphism in two groups was detected by PCR-RFLP .Results The distribution of genotypes and alleles was different in two groups (P=0 .023 , P= 0 .010) .Further stratified analysis showed that the frequency of A allele was significantly higher in delayed AD group than in control group (OR= 1 .851 ,95% CI:1 .159 -2 .957 ,P=0.010) ,indicating that A allele is the risk factor for delayed AD .The frequency of AA genotype was significantly higher in delayed AD group than in control group (OR=3 .370 ,95% CI:1 .143-9.939 ,P=0 .023) ,indicating that the risk of delayed AD was 3 .370-fold higher in subjects with AA genotype than in those with TT genotype .The AT genotype was not related with the risk of delayed AD (OR=1 .944 ,95% CI:0 .994-3 .803 ,P=0 .051) .Conclusion IL-8 gene-251A/T pol-ymorphism is related with the risk of delayed AD .

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of a project for treating TB/HIV co-infection(phase 1,2007-2008)supported by Global Fund in Wolong district.Method Data on project implementation in 2007-2008 were collected and analyzed.Results A total of 916 TB patients were diagnosed in 2007-2008,of whom 847 cases were detected for HIV antibody,with a detection rate of 92.47%.A total of 368 people living with HIV/AIDS were identified by screening 1790 persons/times,with a screening rate of 94.36%.Among them 55 cases of active tuberculosis were co-infected with HIV,of whom 3 were smear positive.After aniti-TB chemotherapy marked symptomatic improvement was witnessed in 37 cases;the curative rate for new smear positive cases reached 66.7% and the remission rate was 70.0%.Conclusion Satisfactory results were achieved in preventing and treating TB/HIV co-infection in Wologn district,and the experience gained in implementing the phase 1 project will provide useful information for implementing the project for the next phases.

Poly (β-amino ester)s (PβAEs) contain tertiary amine backbones and biodegradable ester bonds, making them highly biocompatible and pH-responsive. Meanwhile, originated from combinatorial libraries, PβAEs are simple to synthesize, easy to obtain raw materials and can be easily adapted to meet the different performance needs of gene carriers by adjusting the monomer type, monomer ratio and reaction time. Therefore, PβAEs are promising material for non-viral gene carriers. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the properties and synthesis of PβAEs gene carriers and summarizes the progress of research on the gene delivery of each type of PβAEs.

Objective To analyze the relationship between cystatin C(Cys C) and homocysteine(Hcy) in patients with early diabetic nephropathy.Methods48 cases of T2DM patients from June 2013 to December 2015 in our hospital for treatment were chosen as the observation group, including 30 patients with early diabetic nephropathy patients as the observation group 1, 18 cases of T2DM patients as the observation group 2, were selected in our hospital physical examination of 28 healthy persons as control group,serum Cys C and Hcy levels were measured at the same time, urinary albumin / creatinine ratio (Ualb/cr) was measured in the observation group, test results of three groups were analyzed and compared.ResultsThe serum Cys C and Hcy in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group, and Cys C and Hcy levels in observed 1 group were significantly higher than that observed in the 2 group, the difference was statistically significant in the observation group, serum Cys C and Hcy level was positively correlated with Ualb/cr.ConclusionThe relationship between Cys C and Hcy levels and early diabetic nephropathy has very important significance in the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy, can effectively improve the rate of diagnosis of early diabetic nephropathy patients.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of joint detection of six tumor markers in patients with colorectal cancer. Methods Eighty?six patients with colorectal cancer were included in the study group,86 healthy subjects were selected as the control group at the same period. Aim To explore the possible anti-inflammation mechanism of paeonol by investigating its effects on the MMP-9 mRNA expression and cytokines production in human dermal fibroblasts induced by TNF-?.Methods The effect of paneonol on the expression of MMP-9 mRNA was detected by semi-quantitative RT-PCR.The modulation of paneonol on the production of IL-1?,IL-6 and IL-8 in fibroblasts was measured by ELISA.Results MMP-9 hardly expressed in human dermal fibroblast.The results also showed that TNF-? significantly induced the expression of MMP-9 in fibroblasts and at the same time paeonol inhibited the expression of MMP-9.TNF-? stimulated the production of IL-1? and IL-8 in fibroblasts,while 10~100 mg?L-1 paeonol inhibited TNF-?-induced IL-1? and IL-8 production in fibroblasts but had nothing to do with the production of IL-6.Conclusions Paeonol can inhibit the expression of MMP-9 mRNA,IL-1? and IL-8 induced by TNF-?.
