Objective To explore the neuroprotective effect of honokiol against Parkinson's disease(PD)in mouse model,and investigate the possible mechanism involved.Methods 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP)was injected into abdominal cavity of mouse to establish the PD model.Sixty C57BL/6 male mice were randomly allocated into five groups:control group,MPTP model group,amantadine group(positive control,40mg/kg),honokiol group A(10mg/kg)and honokiol group B(30mg/kg).Spontaneous movement test was used to measure the activity frequency of each mouse in 5 minutes.The technique of high performance liquid chromatography-electrochemistry was utilized to detect the changes of dopamine(DA)contents in mouse striatum.Results a)Since the involuntary movement appeared,such as trunk trembling,piloerection,tail extending and movement reduction,the PD model was regarded as having been reproduced successfully.b)The spontaneous movement frequency in 5 minutes of the mice in MPTP model group(102?7)was lower than that in the control group(583?11,P

Objective To improve the understanding of medical literature databases in order to correctly select and use them. Methods The use of 4 common medical literature databases in China was comparatively analyzed. Re-sults Repetitive and incomplete literature coverage, imperfect key retrieval techniques, insufficient retrieval func-tions, loose design, and unscientific retrieval systems were the major problems of the 4 commonly used Chinese medical literature databases. Conclusion The user should know the weak points of different databases and selectively use them. Standardization and quality control of medical literature databases should be further improved.

Objective: To investigate the compliance of functional exercises and identify its influencing factors among young and middle-aged stroke patients, so as to provide insights into rehabilitation management among young and middle-aged stroke patients. Methods: Stroke patients at ages of 18 to 59 years were recruited from those receiving rehabilitation treatment in Tongde Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang Chinese Medical University from January 2021 to June 2022. Participants' demographics and clinical data were collected through questionnaire surveys. The compliance of functional exercises was assessed using Stroke Functional Exercise Adherence Questionnaire, and patients' social support, exercise self-efficacy and depression were assessed using the Social Support Rating Scale, Exercise Self-efficacy Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale. The factors affecting functional exercise compliance were identified among young and middle-aged stroke patients with a multivariable linear regression model. Results: A total of 230 questionnaires were allocated and 213 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 92.61%. The respondents included 129 men (60.56%) and 84 women (39.44%) and had a mean age of (53.49±7.95) years. The total score of functional exercise compliance was (41.37±9.11) points among the participants. Multivariable linear regression analysis identified education level (β'=0.376), monthly household income per capita (β'=0.309), history of stroke onset (β'=-0.238), rehabilitation instruction (β'=0.284), depression (β'=-0.261), exercise self-efficacy (β'=0.152), and social support level (β': 0.277 to 0.415) as factors affecting the functional exercise compliance among young and middle-aged stroke patients. Conclusion Education level, income, history of stroke onset, depression, exercise self-efficacy and social support may affect the compliance of exercise compliance among young and middle-aged stroke patients.

Objective To investigate the mechanisms of inhibitory effect of Erlotinib,an epidermal growth factor(VEGF) receptor inhibitor,on angiogenesis of pancreatic carncer.Methods①In a tube formation assay,Erlotinib(100?mol/L) was applied to the culture media and compared to the serum free media.The expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in BxPC-3 cells treated with Erlo- tinib at different concentrations(5,50,100,200?mol/L) was determined by RT-PCR.②The xeno grafts derived from BxPC 3 cancer cells were inoculated into the BALB/C nude mice.The mice were treated with either Erlotinib(100 mg/kg of Erlotinib oral lavage daily) or saline for four weeks.The vol- ume of the xenografts was measured and the tumor growth rate was calculated.The microvessel density (MVD) of tumor tissue was determined by immunohistochemistry with an antibody against factorⅧ. Results There were less endothelium cells and close hollow tubular structures in grlotinib treated group compared to the control group in the tube formation assay.The mean weight of xenografts in Erlotinib treated group[(0.397?0.550)g] was significantly lower than that in the control group[(1.570?1.060)g] with a inhibitary rate of 74.5%.The expression of VEGF mRNA in Ertotinib treated groups (=50?mol/L) were decreased comparing to the control group.The VEGF expression in xeno- grafts tumor tissues was also markedly down-regulated.The MVI) was significantly decreased in Erlotinib treated group( 1.86?0.43)than that in the control group (5.98?1.27,P

· AlM:To investigate the effect of compound anisodine on fundus blood circulation after vitrectomy with face-down position.
· METHODS: Sixty patients ( 60 eyes ) with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment received vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade operation, who were randomized divided into treatment group ( 30 eyes ) and control group ( 30 eyes ) .The patients in the treatment group received the subcutaneously injection of compound anisodine hydrobromide by the superficial temporal artery once daily for 14d since postoperative first day.Retinal microcirculation blood flow parameters were recorded with Heidelberg retinal flowmeter postoperative 1d, 1 and 2wk, and were compared between two groups.
·RESULTS: The blood flow parameters ( Vol, Flw, Vel) of control group postoperative 1 and 2wk were significantly less than those postoperative 1d.Otherwise the parameters of treatment postoperative 1 and 2wk were significantly more than those postoperative 1d. The parameters between two groups were significant different ( P<0.01) .
· CONCLUSlON: Facing down after vitrectomy with
silicone oil tamponade may reduce retinal blood supply, consequently lead to retinal ischemia; compound anisodine can effectively improve the retinal and choroidal microcirculation after vitrectomy with face-down posture, reduce retinal ischemia, and enhance the visual function.

Objective To evaluate the effect of dexmedetomidine on noise-induced hearing loss in guinea pigs.Methods Twenty-four adult male guinea pigs,aged 3 months,weighing 400-500 g,were randomly divided into 3 groups (n =8 each) using a random number table:dexmedetomdine group (group D),noise-induced hearing loss group (group N) and dexmedetomidine + noise-induced hearing loss group (group DN).A loading dose of dexmedetomidine 5 μg/kg was infused over 5 min,followed by 135 min of infusion at a rate of 10 μg· kg-1 · h-1.The equal volume of normal saline was infused in group N.Groups N and DN were exposed to noise of 4 kHz center frequency and 118-122 dB SPL for 120 min starting from 20 min of administration.Mean arterial pressure (MAP) and cochlear blood flow (COBF) were recorded before administration and every 5 min during drug administration.The changing rate of COBF was calculated.Arterial blood samples were collected for determination of plasma concentration of noradrenaline (NE) by high performance liquid chromatography at 20 and 140 min of administration.Auditory brainstem response (ABR) threshold was recorded before administration and at 1 and 72 h and 10 days after the end of administration.Results Compared with group N,MAP was significantly decreased,the changing rate of COBF was increased at 5-10 min and 30-140 min of administration,ABR threshold was decreased at 1 and 72 h and 10 days after the end of administration,and the plasma concentration of NE was decreased at 140 min of administration in D + N group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine can attenuate noise-induced hearing loss in guinea pigs possibly through inhibiting activation of sympathetic nerves and increasing COBF.

Objective To investigate the value of high-frequency ultrasound in diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma by comparative analysis of high-frequency ultrasound and spiral CT imaging results. Methods The imaging results of patients with thyroid carcinoma proved by postoperative pathology or biopsy results were reviewed.High-frequency ultrasound and spiral CT were used to examine the 35 patients in The Tumor Hospital of Harbin Medical University between 2007 and 2009. Results Diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma by application of Highfrequency ultrasound were 27 cases, diagnosis rate was 77.1%(27/35);by spiral CT were 25 cases, diagnosis rate was 71.4% (25/35);comparison of the two methods showed no significant difference (x2= 0.3, P ＞ 0.05). Combined application of high-frequency ultrasound and spiral CT diagnosed 33 patients with thyroid carcinoma, diagnosis rate was 94.3%(33/35), which was significantly higher than that of high-frequency ultrasound alone or that of spiral CT alone(compared with high-frequency ultrasound, x2 = 4.2, P ＜ 0.05;and spiral CT, x2 = 6.4, P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Combined application of high-frequency ultrasound and spiral CT can improve the diagnosis rate of thyroid carcinoma.

Objective To explore status quo of Shanghai community health services based on the investigation of rural community doctors in Shanghai suburb,and to propose measures on training rural doctors. Methods Retrospective investigation was carried out in 114 rural community health service centers and 1 563 clinics.Primary investigation included the registration,distribution,age,academic titles and education background. Results The results showed insufficient number of human resources and inadequate investment in human capitals in the primary medical services of Shanghai suburbs,and there was a serious shortage of general practitioners.The other problems included older age,insufficient academic qualifications,and without professional titles. Conclusion We should improve the status and treatment of rural doctors.Job training and well-trained professional students should be encouraged for the primary health services.More and more doctors should be attracted to work in community health service centers.General practitioners' personnal information network and general medical training network should be established,and the general medical education system gets improvement.
