Objective To evaluate the value of breast molybdenum target radiography in evaluating the enlarged axillary lymph nodes in breast diseases. Methods 79 patients underwent breast molybdenum target radiography, including conventional laxial and oblique projection. Some of them were examine furtheremore in compress projection in axillary fossa. The X-ray findings were analysis. And radiologic-pathologic correlation were carried out. Results There were 46 cases of brease carcinoma, 20 cases of hyperplasia,7cases of fibroadenoma,2 cases of plasmacytic mammitis,2cases of lipoma and 2 cases of papilloma in 79 patients. In the 33 cases of breast benign lesion , the enlarged axillary lymph nodes were seen bilaterally in 12 cases, sum was 1 to 5 in each case, smaller than 2 cm in diameter in 31 cases and uneven density in 13 cases were showed. In the 46 cases of brease carcinoma, the enlarged lymph nodes were seen laterally in 43cases, sum was 1 to 4 in each cases, larger than 2 cm in diameter was showed in 17 cases, and all were even density. There were statistical differences in number, diameter and density of enlarged lymph nodes between two groups. Conclusion The enlarged axillary lymph nodes are of different X-ray features in breast benign lesion and malignant lesion,it is helpful in differential diagnosis of breast diseases.

Objective To investigate effect of mild hypothermia on changes of somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) and synaptophysin mRNA level after traumatic brain injury (TBI) and determine hypothermia-induced neuroprotection. Methods Forty-five SD rats were allocated into mild hypothermia group,TBI group and sham operation group with 15 rats per group according to the random number table.Left-side fluid percussion impact was performed to induce models of TBI.Rats were exposed to hypothermia environment (32-35℃) for 6 hours in mild hypothermia group after TBI.Rats in sham operation group were treated by only drilling on left side of the head, rather than hitting. To evaluate function outcome, modified neurological severity score (mNSS),SEP and synaptophysin mRNA level were measured at 6 hours,24 hours and 7 days postinjury. Results The mNSS in mild hypothermia group lowered compared with TBI group, especially at 24 hours and 7 days (P < 0.05).SEP in mild hypothermia group was significantly shortened at 6 and 24 hours compared with TBI group (P < 0.05),but SEP revealed no significant difference among the 3 groups at 7 days (P > 0.05).Level of synaptophysin mRNA in mild hypothermia group increased at 6 hours postinjury compared with TBI group [(0.08 ± 0.02) vs (0.12 ±0.04)],with further increase at 7 days postinjury[(0.06 ± 0.01) vs (0.33 ± 0.10)] (P <0.05).Conclusion The shortage of nerve conduction time of the injured side and promotion of nerve regeneration suggest the neuroprotective role of mild hypothermia following TBI.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(39):6954-6961
BACKGROUND:As the epiphyseal plate has an important role in the growth and development of femur, the design of internal fixation should avoid the damage to the epiphyseal plate. Therefore, the positioning of pediatric femoral epiphyseal plate is particularly important.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the biomechanical property of the new femur neck screw internal fixation in treatment of children femoral neck fracture.
METHODS:Twelve femurs were col ected from six fresh children cadavers provided by Dissecting Room of University of South China. After exclusion of bone disease with X-ray film, three new children femoral neck screws and three Kirschner wires with the diameter of 2.0 mm were used for fixation. The biomechanical tests were conducted to detect the axial compression and torsion stiffness.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In the children femoral neck screw group, the axial compression stiffness and torsion stiffness under the torsional torque of maximum 3 N?m were (190.74±20.88) N/mm and (0.18±0.045) N?m/° respectively;(138.95±15.19) N/mm and (0.120±0.036) N?m/° respectively in the Kirschner wire group;there were significant differences in the axial compression stiffness and torsion stiffness between two groups (P<0.05). The results showed that the compressive strength and torsional capacity of the children femoral neck screw were strong than those of Kirschner wire. The experiment suggested that the femoral neck screw for children is a new type of ideal internal fixation device which consist with the anatomical features of children proximal femur and can meet the requirement of children femoral neck fracture with good biomechanical property.

Objective To evaluate the safety and feasibility of Wingspan stent for patients with symptomatic M1 stenosis of middle cerebral artery (MCA). Methods Thirty-two cases with recurrent symptomatic MCA stenosis resistant to medical therapy treated by self-expanding stent were reviewed retrospectively [average (49±19) years old, 13 women]. All patients underwent angioplasty and stenting with the Gateway balloon-Wingspan stent system. After 6 months, all patients were followed up by telephone or clinic, and advised followed up with DSA or TCD. Results Thirty-two patients were successfully stented during the first treatment session. The mean degree of stenosis reduced from (76.5±15.4)% to (19.3±9.2)%. The number of complicating subarachnoid hemorrhage was one, and occlusion occurred on one patients related to balloon angioplasty. During a follow-up of 6 months, there was no recurrence of transient ischemic attack or stroke in 32 available patients. Cerebral hemodynamics using transcranial Doppler monitoring were normal in 19 follow-up patients. Six-month angiographic follow-up was obtained in 5 patients, demonstrating good patency in 5 stenting vessels. The other patients refused to perform TCD or DSA. Conclusions Wingspan stent for symptomatic stenosis of middle cerebral artery appears to be a safe and feasible under strict control of periperformeral project. However further study is needed to evaluate the long-term effect.
