China Journal of Endoscopy 2016;22(9):35-38
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of microlaryngoscopy radiofrequency in treatment of patients with tongue base cysts. Methods 42 patients with tongue base cysts from January 2013 to December 2014 were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the treatment group underwent microlaryngoscopy radiofrequency treatment, the control group underwent direct laryngoscopy under the tongue cystectomy, then the operation time, blood loss and postoperative recurrence rate were observed and recorded, and self-evaluation method using visual analog (VAS) to evaluate the effect of surgery. Results The operative time of treatment group was significantly shorter, and the blood loss was significantly less than the control group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.01); for 1-year follow-up, six-month recurrence rate in control group was 9.52%, the treatment group had no recurrence cases, the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05); 12 months, the recurrence rate was 28.57% in the control group, the treatment group, the recurrence rate was 4.76%, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05); Preoperative VAS score of the two groups have no significant difference, while after surgery, the VAS scores' difference was statistically significant, even treatment group compared with the control group VAS scores after surgery was statistically significant (P < 0.01). Conclusion Microlaryngoscopy radiofrequency in treatment of tongue base cysts have advantages of significant efficacy, safe and reliable, It's worthy of clinical promoting.
2.Comparison between low temperature-controlled plasma radio frequency ablation by nasal endoscopy and traditional way in treatment of nasal vestibular cyst
China Journal of Endoscopy 2017;23(5):53-56
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of low temperature-controlled plasma radio frequency ablation by nasal endoscopy with traditional way in treatment of nasal vestibular cyst. Methods 68 patients with nasal vestibular cyst from January 2010 to January 2016 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 34 cases in each group. The control group received traditional way (labiogingival groove approach), while the observation group received low temperature-controlled plasma radio frequency ablation by nasal endoscopy. The operating time, introoperative blood loss, postoperative incision pain, wound healing time and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operating time, introoperative blood loss, postoperative incision pain, wound healing time of observation group were significantly lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). The complication in observation group was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). Conclusions The low temperature-controlled plasma radio frequency ablation by nasal endoscopy holds many advantages: less pain, good efficacy, simple manipulation and lower complications. Therefore, it is worthy of promoting clinical application.

Objective To investigate the preventive effect of fibroblast growth factor on infection after tooth extraction among type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Methods 76 patients with infection prevention were treated with basic fibroblast growth factor, and 90 patients in the control group(n= 324). The intervention group was treated with basic fibroblast growth factor and treated with recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor gel. The routine treatment group was treated with routine rinsing liquid for disinfection to prevent infection. Follow-up observation of infection after 1 week. Results In the group of basic fibroblast growth factor, the infectious rate was 2.63%, which was not significantly lower than that of the control group. The level of white blood cells in the group treated with basic fibroblast factor was (6.67±1.08)×109/L, which was significantly lower than that of the control group. The CRP level was (90.33±12.95) mg/L, which was significantly lower than that of the control group Group level (P<0.05). The incidence of fibroblast infection was 2.7% in men and 6.38% in control group. Although there was no significant difference between the two groups, the difference in the total WBC count and CRP level between the two groups was significant different (P<0.05). The group which use of basic fibroblast growth factor, the total white blood cell count and CRP level of the infection prevention intervention group were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). Similar results were found in women. Conclusion Fibroblast growth factor can be used to prevent postoperative infection, and achieve satisfactory results.

ObjectiveTo investigate the feasibility and clinical effect of bispectral index (BIS) monitoring target controlled infusion of midazolam and propofol for sedation of mechanically ventilated patients.MethodsEighty cases with severe respiratory failure, sane, the need for endotracheal intubation mechanical ventilation for at least 24 h were divided into 4 groups by random digits table with 20 cases each.Group A and group C patients routinely received propofol and midazolam, group B and group D patients used BIS monitoring target controlled infusion of propofol and midazolam. The correlation of BIS and Ramsay score was analyzed, and the changes of mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) were compared among 4 groups.ResultsBIS was negatively correlated with Ramsay score in group B and group D (P < 0.05).MAP after 24 h intubation was lower than that at intubation immediately among 4 groups [group A:(63.89 ±4.68) mm Hg (1 mm Hg =0.133 kPa) vs.(92.33 ±3.57) mm Hg,group B:(62.66 ±3.97) mm Hg vs.(93.76 ± 4.02) mm Hg,group C:(64.59 ± 3.29) mm Hg vs. (93.78 ± 4.61 ) mm Hg,group D:(63.18 ±2.51 )mm Hg vs. (93.61 ± 5.36) mm Hg],and there were significant differences (P< 0.05).Group A and group B reached the standard after 1 h intubation.HR after 24 h intubation decreased in 4 groups, but there was no significant difference (P > 0.05).ConclusionsBIS monitoring target conmolled infusion of midazolam and propofol for sedation of mechanically ventilated patients can achieve similar sedative effects,in addition, the need for rapid sedation of mechanically ventilated patients with suitable choice of propofol. At the same time,BIS is negatively correlated with Ramsay score.
