China Journal of Endoscopy 2017;23(5):53-56
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of low temperature-controlled plasma radio frequency ablation by nasal endoscopy with traditional way in treatment of nasal vestibular cyst. Methods 68 patients with nasal vestibular cyst from January 2010 to January 2016 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 34 cases in each group. The control group received traditional way (labiogingival groove approach), while the observation group received low temperature-controlled plasma radio frequency ablation by nasal endoscopy. The operating time, introoperative blood loss, postoperative incision pain, wound healing time and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operating time, introoperative blood loss, postoperative incision pain, wound healing time of observation group were significantly lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). The complication in observation group was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). Conclusions The low temperature-controlled plasma radio frequency ablation by nasal endoscopy holds many advantages: less pain, good efficacy, simple manipulation and lower complications. Therefore, it is worthy of promoting clinical application.

Objective To evaluate clinical use of adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction (ASiR) method in low-dose scan on children temporal bone by comparison of radiation dose delivered by GE Discovert HD CT 750 scan and GE Lightspeed VCT64 scan.Method Sixty patients with congenital deafness were divided into two groups according to gender, age (each N =30).Group a received low-dose CT scan on temporal bone by GE Discovery HDCT 750 (preset NI =12),and the original images were reconstructed with ASiR (weighted value =40%).Group B received CT scan by GE Lightspeed VCT 64 (preset NI =8),and the original images were reconstructed with filter back projection (FBP).Data were collected and analysed using the SPSS 18.0 software.Resultes The mean value of electric current of average tube and CTDIvol were significantly different between group A and B [(110.40 ± 21.72) mA vs.(168.56±24.36) mA,and (26.43 ±3.48) mGy vs.(39.66 ±4.17) mGy,respectively (t=-9.76,-3.31,P<0.05)].The noise index was (33.13 ±2.68) in group A and (33.79 ±2.93) in group B respectively, and the results had no statistical significance (P > 0.05).Subjective scores of the images were (4.06 ± 0.03) and (4.05 ± 0.03),with no statistical significance either (P > 0.05).Conclusions On a condition of achieving same image quality,CT scan program using GE Discovery HD CT 750 with 40% ASiR reconstruction and 4 units NI value enhancement could effectively reduce radiation dose on children's temporal bone compared to FBP method using GE Lightspeed VCT 64.

Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(09):-
Objective To observe dynamically osteopontin(OPN) expression in the renal tubules of streptozotocin(STZ) induced diabetic rats, and to explore the relationship between OPN and angiotensinⅡ(AngⅡ), nuclear transcription factor-?B(NF-?B), and renal injuries. Methods Male SD rats were injected with STZ to induce diabetes mellitus, which were randomly divided into 5 groups and meanwhile there were other 5 age-matched normal control groups. Immunohistochemistry was employed to observe the expression of OPN, AngⅡ, NF-?B and fibronectin(FN) in renal tubules. The OPN and I-?B protein in renal cortex was detected by Western blot methods. Blood glucose, serum creatinine and 24 h urine protein were examined. The renal morphology was checked through light microscopy. Results The AngⅡand NF-?B expression from DM day 3, OPN expression from day7, FN from week 2 in renal cortex or tubules was increased as compared with control groups, while I-?B protein in renal cortex was gradually decreased since day 3. In DM week 4, there were positive correlations between OPN and AngⅡ, NF-?B, FN and 24 h urine protein. Conclusion An increase of OPN expression in the renal tubules of diabetic rats may be regulated by AngⅡ and NF-?B, and therefore participates the injury mechanisms of renal tubulo-intestitium.
