1.Rhinovirus infection and acute exacerbation of asthma in children
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(6):577-579
Human rhinovirus (HRV) infection is an important predisposing factor of acute asthma attacks and exacerbations, but the pathogenic mechanism is extremely complex. Inflammatory responses can be caused by the direct effect of rhinovirus and the release of inflammatory mediators and inflammatory cell infiltration. HRV infection stimulates the body's abnormal immune response, especially Thl / Th2 immune imbalance and dysfunction of regulatory T cells has attracted extensive attention. In-depth study in the pathogenic mechanism of acute asthma exacerbation induced by HRV infection in children is essential to elucidate the pathogenesis of asthma and to explore immunotherapy of asthma.
2.Multimodal evoked potentials on hypoxic encephalopathy
Chinese Journal of Neurology 2005;0(08):-
Objective To evaluate the brain function and predict the prognosis of hypoxic encephalopathy with multimodal evoked potentials. Methods Short-latency somatosensory evoked potential(SLSEP )and Brainstem auditory evoked potential( BAEP) were used to monitor 44 coma patients caused by post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation, hypotension and (or) hypoxemia, to compare simple modalities, multimodalities, and simple modalities with multimodalities according to Judson, Hall, Cant, Haupt standard. Results Simple modal and multimodal grading standards were closely related to the prognosis, the higher the grade, the poorer the prognosis . The accuracy of SLSEP (Judson standard is 84.1% )was higher than that of BAEP (Hall standard is 79.5%);and the accuracy of multimodal evoked potentials (Cant standard is 88.4%) was higher than that of the simple modality. Conclusion Multimodal evoked potentials might better indicate the degree of brain function of hypoxic encephalopathy. Cant standard might be easily carried out, which might highly show the accuracy of the prognosis, and suitably to be spread and applied in work.
3.Anticipatory nausea and vomiting in cancer patients with chemotherapy: A review
Chinese Mental Health Journal 2017;31(7):505-510
Anticipatory nausea and vomiting (ANV) is one of the common adverse effects in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.ANV is related to classical conditioning, psychosocial and demographic factors.Psychological intervention such as systematic desensitization, hypnosis and biofeedback therapy could be used to treat ANV,while some psychotropic medication including benzodiazepines and olanzapine is also helpful to prevent ANV.Now the recognition about ANV in clinical oncology is not adequate and large sample epidemiological survey of ANV is lacked. So far there are no special tools to predict and assess ANV,and the effects of pharmacological interventions also need solid evidence from large sample double-blind randomized controlled trials.

Objective To investigate an accurate, reliable and objective method to evaluate persistent vegetative state at bedside. Methods The brain function of 34 cases with persistent vegetative state as a result of acute brain injury was evaluated, involving clinical examinations and neuroelectrophysiological evaluations(EEG,BAEP,SLSEP).Results The most common cause of brain damage was anoxic encephalopathy(30/34,88.2%).The patients were in mild, moderate or deep coma with complete or partial existence of brainstem reflection, activities distributed by cerebral nerves, voluntary extremity activities, spinal cord reflection and automatic spinal cord reflection as well as partial existence of pathologic reflection.According to the Young Criteria of EEG,64.5%(20/31)and 29.0%(9/31)of the cases were in grade Ⅰ and Ⅵ respectively,6.5%(2/31)were in grade Ⅲ and Ⅳ.According to the Cant Criteria of evoked potential,34.8%(8/23),21.7%(5/23)and 43.5%(10/23)of the cases were in gradeⅠ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ of brainstem auditory evoked potential,respectively.43.5%(10/23),4.4%(12/23) and 52.2%(12/23)were in grade Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ of short-latency somatosensory evoked potential respectively.29.4%(10/34)of 34 cases died, and 11.8%(4/34)resuscitated during 35—90 days. Conclusion Combination of multiple neuroelectrophysiological tests was an accurate, reliable and objective approach to evaluate the brain function of patients with persistent vegetative state, which provides evidence for decision-making in agrypnotic therapy.
5.Discussion on the botanical origin of Isatidis radix and Isatidis folium based on DNA barcoding.
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2013;48(12):1850-1855
This paper aimed to investigate the botanical origins of Isatidis Radix and Isatidis Folium, and clarify the confusion of its classification. The second internal transcribed spacer (ITS2) of ribosomal DNA, the chloroplast matK gene of 22 samples from some major production areas were amplified and sequenced. Sequence assembly and consensus sequence generation were performed using the CodonCode Aligner. Phylogenetic study was performed using MEGA 4.0 software in accordance with the Kimura 2-Parameter (K2P) model, and the phylogenetic tree was constructed using the neighbor-joining methods. The results showed that the length of ITS2 sequence of the botanical origins of Isatidis Radix and Isatidis Folium was 191 bp. The sequence showed that some samples had several SNP sites, and some samples had heterozygosis sites. In the NJ tree, based on ITS2 sequence, the studied samples were separated into two groups, and one of them was gathered with Isatis tinctoria L. The studied samples also were divided into two groups obviously based on the chloroplast matK gene. In conclusion, our results support that the botanical origins of Isatidis Radix and Isatidis Folium are Isatis indigotica Fortune, and Isatis indigotica and Isatis tinctoria are two distinct species. This study doesn't support the opinion about the combination of these two species in Flora of China.
