Integrin ?V?3, one of the major members of the integrin family, plays a pivotal role in tumor angiogenesis because it mediates the cell-extracellular matrix and cell to cell adhesion as well as controls cells proliferation, differentiation, cellular modality and motility.Due to restricted high-expressions in tumors, integrin ?V?3, is considered a suitable targeting receptor for tumor diagnosis.In the past decade, several molecular imaging tracers for integrin ?V?3, have been used to noninvasively visualize its expression in tumor tissues and angiogenic blood vessels through the usage of nuclear imaging, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, and optical imaging.Noninvasive detection of integrin ?V?3, expression can potentially be used for tumor diagnosis and prognosis.The current imaging probes used to target integrin ?V?3, through usage of different technologies are briefly recapitulated in this review.
2.Clinical observation of electroacupuncture with different frequencies for migraine without aura

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture (EA) with different frequencies in treating migraine.Methods: Ninety patients with migraine were divided into a low frequency electroacupuncture (LF-EA) group, a high frequency electroacupuncture (HF-EA) group and a variable frequency electroacupuncture (VF-EA) group by the random number table method. Shuaigu (GB 8), Hegu (LI 4), Waiguan (TE 5), Taichong (LR 3), Taiyang (EX-HN 5), Fengchi (GB 20) and Ashi points were selected for all three groups. After achieving needling sensation (Deqi), the LF-EA group received 2 Hz continuous wave EA stimulation; the HF-EA group received 100 Hz continuous wave EA stimulation, and the VF-EA group received 2 Hz/100 Hz sparse-dense wave EA stimulation. The EA stimulation lasted for 30 min in all the three groups, once a day, 10 times as a course, and the clinical efficacy was evaluated after 2 consecutive courses of treatment. Results: After treatment, the total effective rates in the LF-EA group, HF-EA group and VF-EA group were 77.7%, 83.3% and 93.3%, respectively. The difference in total effective rate between the LF-EA and HF-EA groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05), but the total effective rate was significantly higher in the VF-EA group than in the LF-EA and HF-EA groups (both P<0.01). After treatment, the headache scores significantly decreased in all three groups (all P<0.01). The difference in headache score between the LF-EA and HF-EA groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05), while the score was significantly lower in the VF-EA group than in the LF-EA and HF-EA groups (both P<0.01). Conclusion: VF-EA (2 Hz/100 Hz), compared with LF-EA (2 Hz) and HF-EA (100 Hz), shows superior clinical efficacy in treating migraine.

5.Application of polypropylene repair material in treating inguinal hernia

OBJECTIVE:To summarizethe application of polypropylene repair material in treating inguinal hernia.METHODS:Papers regarding polypropylene repair material in treating inguinal hernia published in VIP data between January 1998 and October 2009 were researched using key words of "polypropylene,inguinal hernia,and complication".Inclusion criteria Repairing inguinal hernia using polypropylene materials.Experimental results concerning related complications.Exclusion criteria:repetitive study and relatively old literature.A total of 17 documents were included in this study.RESULTS:Organic polymeric materials were clinical utilized in repairing inguinal hernia at the end of 1950s.The polypropylene patch was knitted by slngle fiber or multi-strands fibers of polypropylene,and exhibited single layer network structures,which is preferred material for repairing abdominal-wall defect.Compared with other unabsorble materials,the polypropylene patch had following advantage:obviously stimulating fibroplasias; easy permeated by fibrous tissues and embedded into tissues; maintaining highly tensile strength following implantation; and relative low cost.Few material-related complications occurred following repairing,mainly presented with infection,serofiuid swelling,ankylenteron,intestinal leakage,material displacement,as well as material shrinkage.CONCLUSION:Polypropylene material is an ideal repair material due to good histocompatibility,few rejections,and anti-infection capability.It leads to easy operation,small trauma,fast recovery and few complications in repairing defects.
6.OVEREXPRESSION OF ZINC FINGER PROTEIN INHIBITS LPS-INDUCED EXPRESSION OF E-SELECTIN IN ENDOTHELIAL CELLS

Objective Previous studies have demonstrated that LPS can induce endothelial cell activation and the expression of E-selectin. In this study, we examined whether A20 gene could inhibit the expression of E-selectin in endothelial cells induced by LPS. Methods With the help of DOTAP, endothelial cells were transfected with pCDNA3.1 EHA20. The postive cell clones were selected with G418.The stable transfection and expression of A20 in the endothelial cells were determined by immunofluorescence analysis. The E-selectin expression was checked by immunofluorescence, Western blot and in situ hybridization. Results Abundant A20 stable expression in endothelial cells transfected with pCDNA3.1 EHA20 was confirmed by immunofluorescence analysis. 7.Zinc finger protein gene A20 inhibits lipopolysaccharide-induced IL-8 expression of endothelial cells

Objective To investigate the effects of zinc finger protein gene A20 on the inhibition of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induced interleukin 8 (IL 8) expression in endothelial cells. Methods Plasmid pcDNA3.1EHA20 was transfected into human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) by DOTAP method. The positive cell clones were screened with G418. The stable transfection and expression of A20 in HUVECs were determined by immunofluorescent analysis. IL 8 expression was detected by sandwich ELISA with double monoclonal antibodies. Results High expression of A20 gene in HUVECs transfected with pCDNA3.1EHA20 was confirmed by immunofluorescent analysis. IL 8 expression increased in LPS induced endothelial cells. AIM: To investigate the effect of antisense oligonucleotides(ASON) of c-sis on cellular cycle and proliferation of pulmonary artery vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMC).METHODS: Tissue mass culture was done to get VSMC of pulmonary artery. Different concentrations of antisense oligonucleotides of c-sis were added into the cultures to observe the VSMC proliferation curve using MTT test. The changes of VSMC cellular cycle were also observed by flow cytometry. RESULTS: ASON with mid-to high concentrations restrained the proliferation of VSMC apparently with the peak of cell growth being attenuated or eliminated. Affected by mid-concentration ASON, PDGF-BB showed significant accelerating effect on the proliferation of VSMC. The ratio of G 0/G 1 in cellular cycle was increased significantly in VSMC culture with ASON in comparison with control. 10.Diagnostic value of echocardiography for cardiac tumors of 87 cases

Objective:To explore the diagnostic value of color Doppler echocardiography for cardiac tumors .Meth-ods:Clinical data of 87 patients with cardiac tumors were retrospectively analyzed ,including their diseased loca-tion ,clinical manif′estations and echocardiography feature .Results:All cardiac tumors obtain pathologic confirma-tion .There were 73 patients (83.9% ) with benign cardiac tumors ,including 66 patients (90.4% ) with myxoma and seven patients with other types ;there were 14 patients (16.1% ) with malignant cardiac tumors .Echocardiography indicated that myxoma was often located in left atrium (n=58) ,most cases possessed pedicell,its activity was large ;Other type benign cardiac tumors feature :The 6 case (86% ) were generated inside cardiac muscle without pedicell, its echo was more strong ;malignant tumors:its attachment surface was wide without pedicell,and it may show with globular or cauliflower ,and accompanied hydropericardium mostly .Conclusion:Echocardiography can dynamically observe the form ,size ,echo and hemodynamic changes of tumors ,its diagnostic accuracy is high .Myxoma is most frequent cardiac tumor .
