Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of warm needling plus tuina in treating senile functional constipation.
Methods: Ninety elderly patients with functional constipation were randomized into two groups. Forty-six patients in the treatment group were intervened by warm needling plus tuina; the other forty-four patients in the control group were intervened bySan Huang tablet.
Results: In the treatment group, 19 patients were cured, 24 cases showed improvement, 3 cases failed, and the total effective rate was 93.5%; in the control group, 16 patients were cured, 18 cases showed improvement, 10 cases failed, and the total effective rate was 77.3%. There was a significant difference in comparing the therapeutic efficacy (P<0.05), and the therapeutic efficacy of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group.
Conclusion: Warm needling plus tuina can produce a higher therapeutic efficacy than takingSan Huang tablet in treating senile functional constipation.

Objective To study the effects of rAAV2/1-Acrp30 on sICAM-1 and sVCAM-1 level as well as NF-?B expression in GK rats with diabetic arteriosclerosis so as to explore the effect of adiponectin on diabetic macroangiopathy. Methods A total number of 30 atherosclerotic GK rat models were randomly divided into three groups:① Model group one (M1):hind limb intramuscular injection of normal saline; ② Model group two (M2):hind limb intramuscular injection of vacuity virus rAAV2/1; ③ Treatment group (T):hind limb intramuscular injection of rAAV2/1-Acrp30 at a dose of 1?1012mg/L. After 8 weeks' treatment, the rats were killed, and serum sVCAM-1 and sICAM-1 level as well as aortic NF-?Bp65mRNA expression were measured in each group. Aortic NF-?Bp65mRNA expression was measured by RT-PCR.Results Compared with those in control model groups (M1 and M2),sVCAM-1 and sICAM-1 levels were decreased significantly in the treatment (T) group (P

To establish a method for determination contents of schizandrin, tanshinone I, cryptotanshinone, tanshinone II (A) and schizandrin B in rongxin pills. The HPLC method was performed on an Agilent C18. The mobile phase was composed of methnol and water wish gradient elution. The flow rate was 1.0 mL x min(-1). The column temperature was 30 degrees C and the detection wavelength wash 240 nm. The linear of schizandrin, tanshinone I, cryptotanshinone, Tanshinone II (A) and schizandrin B were 3.000-48.00 (r = 1.000), 3.985-63.76 (r = 0.999 9), 6.370-101.9 (r = 1.000), 8.690-139.0 (r = 0.999 9), 1.700-27.20 mg x L(-1) (r = 0.999 9), respectively. The average recoveries were 98.44%, 100.3%, 99.29%, 99.07%, 98.42%, and RSDs were 0.61%, 1.1%, 0.52%, 0.72%, 0.97%. The method is convenient, accurate and has good precision. It can be used for determination of the preparation.

Objective:To explore the clinical characteristics of patients with pituitary thyrotropin-secreting adenoma and evaluate the effect of preoperative short-acting octreotide treatment on hyperthyroidism. Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed in 40 patients with pituitary thyrotropin adenoma diagnosed in Beijing Tiantan Hospital from January 2008 to January 2018. The general data, laboratory examinations and imaging findings were reviewed and analyzed. The clinical effect of preoperative octreotide on hyperthyroidism was evaluated. Results:The age of onset year of the 40 patients (male: female = 24∶16) was (30.5±5.1) years. Among them, 35 patients (87.5%) were with macroadenoma. The most common symptoms were thyroid hypermetabolism syndrome, followed by headache, dizziness, visual field damage and hypogonadism. The thyroid function of 30 patients (75%) recovered to normal within 3-5 days after the octreotide treatment. The total effective rate of the octreotide was 90.0%. The level of free thyroxine (FT 4) before treatment in patients with more than 10 times of effective cumulative dose was significantly higher than that in patients with less than 10 doses. Conclusions:Thyroid hypermetabolism syndrome and pituitary occupying effect are the most common clinical manifestations of thyrotropin-secreting adenoma. Preoperative octreotide treatment can effectively control hyperthyroidism. The level of FT 4 is a crucial factor affecting the efficacy of octreotide.

AIM: To investigate the antioxidative and antinitrosative effects of copperleaf(Acalypha australis L) on TNBS-induced ulcerative colitis rats. METHODS: Using biochemical method, the activity of antioxidative enzyme SOD,GSH-Px and MDA were determined in normal, model and three rat's groups with low, moderate and high copperleaf decoction respectively. At the same time, the production of NO and the activity of iNOS were also measured. The expression of iNOS mRNA was also determined in normal, model and moderate-copperleaf decoction rats groups through RT-PCR method. RESULTS: The index SOD and GSH-Px increased and MDA reduced significantly in high-and moderate-copperleaf decoction groups compared with the model group. The production of NO the activity of iNOS reduced significantly in high-and moderate-copperleaf decoction groups compared with the model group.RT-PCR results demonstrated that the expression of iNOS mRNA was significantly inhibited in TNBS-induced ulcerative colitis rats after being treated with moderate-dosage copperleaf. CONCLUSION: Acalypha australis L.has antioxidative and antinitrosative effects which is probably one of the mechanism of copperleaf for treating UC.

OBJECTIVE:To establish the quality standard of Yanyan pills.METHODS: The constituents such as Lysimachia christinae,Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae and Radix Astragali were identified qualitatively by TLC,and the content of caffeotannic acid in L.christinae was determined by HPLC.RESULTS: The TLC spots were distinctive and well-isolated.The linear range of caffeotannic acid was 0.036~0.18 ?g(r=0.999 9)with an average recovery of 100.8%(RSD=0.67%,n=6).CONCLUSION: The established standard is applicable for the quality control of Yanyan pills.
