1.Study Progress on Embryonic Stem Cells and Adult Stem Cells Derivated into Male Germ Cells
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(08):-
Embryonic stem cells(ESCs),a kind of totipotent cells, can differentiate into cell type of the 3 germ layers.Adult stem cells(ASCs) are pluripotent stem cells, which can self-renew and transdifferentiate into a completely different tissue derivative cells. Thus ASCs can transdifferentiate into germ cells in a certain condition.Great progress has made for the study on human ESCs.However, use of ESCs faces the immunological rejection, oncogenicity and ethical controversies problems, and these limit their uses for treatment of human diseases. On contrast,ASCs can advoid these problems, and they may have a better perspective.Germ cells as carriers of genetic materials, are worth of studying. If male germ cells can be derived from ASCs,this will open the possibilities for the use of these cells for male infertillty in clinical application. In this review,we will introduce the progress on derivation of male germ cells from ESCs and ASCs.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2003;0(10):-
Objective To observe whether recombinant human erythropoietin (rhu- EPO) could cross blood- brain barrier (BBB) of premature infants. Methods Thirty - six premature infants, with gestational age 28 - 35 weeks, birth weight0.05).Conclusion Rhu- EPO can cross the BBB of premature infants.

Objective To perspectively compare the clinical outcomes of China-and Germany-made electromagnetic lithotripters in the treatment of upper urinary tract calculi. Methods Between January 2005 and August 2005,60 cases of upper urinary tract calculi were randomly divided into two groups:China-made and Germany-made groups(30 in each).Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL)was performed by a same group of surgeons. Results The stone-free rate was 73%(22/30)in China-made group, and was 90%(27/30)in Germany-made group 3 weeks after ESWL(?2=2.283,P=0.095);and was 100% in both the groups 3 months postoperation. The retreatment rate was 27%(8/30)in China-made group, and 10%(3/30)in Germany-made group(?2=2.283,P=0.095).The rate of auxiliary procedure in both the groups was 0.The efficacy quotient(EQ)was 0.79 in China-made group, and was 0.91 in Germany-made group.Totally,39 ESWLs were performed on the patients in China-made group, while 33 ESWLs were carried out in Germany-made group. The rates of macroscopic hematuria, skin injury, and renal colic were 87%(34/39),64%(25/39),and 8%(3/39)respectively in China-made group, and were 91%(30/33),6%(2/33),and 6%(2/33)in Germany-made group(?2=0.016,P=0.900;?2=25.693,P=0.000;and ?2=0.000,P=1.000;respectively).One patient in China-made group developed fever after ESWL,while no one in Germany-made group had the symptom. In both the groups,no patients had hematuria, renal edema,or subcutaneous perinephric hemorrhage. Conclusion Both China-and Germany-made electromagnetic lithotripters are effective, safety, and non-invasive.

Objective To analyze efficacy of rituximab combined with chemotherapy for 35 patients with aggressive B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Methods 70 patients with aggressive B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma were chosen from Hematology Department of First Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning Medical University and divided into observation group and control group at random, each group with 35 cases. The control group were treated with CHOP chemotherapy, and the observation group were treated with anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody rituximab combined with CHOP chemotherapy. The efficacy and toxicity of two group were compared. Results The total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group (80.0%vs.37.1%;χ2 =13.246,P<0.001).Fever cases of observation group were significantly more than those of control group (15vs.4;χ2 =8.741,P=0.003), while the other adverse reactions of leucopenia and gastrointestinal reaction between two groups were not significantly different. Conclusion For patients with aggressive B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, rituximab combined with CHOP chemotherapy has better short-term effects and its adverse reactions are tolerable, which helps patients to improve the quality of life.

Abstract
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cognitive dysfunction and behavioral impairments. Currently, the treatment mainly relies on pharmacotherapy, yet its effectiveness is limited and accompanied by adverse reactions. Multimodal non-pharmacological interventions (MNPI), which combine two or more non-pharmacological intervention approaches, can synergistically improve cognitive function, neuropsychiatric symptoms, activities of daily living, and quality of life in AD patients, and offers advantages of safety, cost-effectiveness and simplicity. This article reviews MNPI-related literature published domestically and internationally from 2018 to 2024, and focuses on the application of cognitive training, physical activity, and other combined intervention methods in MNPI, providing the reference for developing personalized interventions for AD.

Objective To dynamically observe and evaluate the position and movement of pelvic floor organs in vaginal delivery primipara with translabial two-dimensional(2D) ultrasound, and to provide the imaging basis for the effects of pregnancy and vaginal delivery on the pelvic floor support structures. Methods Translabial 2D ultrasound was performed on 52 vaginal delivery postpartum women (postpartum group) and 43 normal women as control group to observe the position and movement of pelvic floor organs at rest,on pelvic muscle contraction and during maximum Valsalva maneuver. Results The location of urethrovesical junction and cervix were significantly lower in postpartum group compared with the control group at three stages. The movement of urethrovesical junction and cervix in vertical direction was greater in postpartum group than control group during maximum Valsalva maneuver, while was smaller on pelvic floor contraction. Conclusions Translabial 2D ultrasound could dynamically observe and evaluate the position and movement of pelvic floor organs.Pregnancy and vaginal delivery produce certain effect on pelvic floor support structures, which manifest as weak, defective and dysfunction. The impact was more obvious in anterior and middle compartments.
