The number, scale, compiling institutes, subject distribution, languages, and application of medical controlled vocabularies covered in Taxonomy warehouse were investigated, the developments of the main medical controlled vocabularies such as LMLS, MeSH and ICD were described, which showed the following tendencies of foreign medical controlled vocabularies,such as ontological transformation,intelligent update and application,coopera-tive compilation,dynamic integration and disintegration, distribution as linked data.

Objective To investigate effect of hs-CRP,IL-6, TNF-αand ICAM-1 in patients with coronary heart disease by Guanxinshengmaiyin. Methods 120 patients with coronary heart disease were selected and randomly divided into two groups.60 cases in control group were treated by routine treatment, 60 cases in experiment group were on the base of control group with Guanxinshengmaiyin,1 month for a course.hs-CRP, IL-6, TNF-αand ICAM-1 levels, clinical efficacy, electrocardiogram ( ECG ) and adverse reactions were compared after treatment.Results Compared with before treatment, hs-CRP, IL-6, TNF-αand ICAM-1 levels were lower(P<0.05).Compared with control group, the serum hs-CRP, IL-6, TNF-αand ICAM-1 levels were lower ( P<0.05 ) , the total efficiency ( 80.00%) was higher ( P<0.05 ) , the depth of T wave of lead II and lead III were lower (P<0.05),the adverse reactions occur rate was lower(P<0.05).Conclusion Guanxinshengmaiyin can reduce serum hs-CRP, IL-6, TNF-αand ICAM-1 levels in patients with coronary heart disease, and has good clinical curative effect, less adverse reaction.

Objective:To explore the effect of lipoic acid (LA) on chronic oxidative stress,cytokines and inflammatory gene expression with mice fed with high fat diet (HFD) and whether LA supplementation could prevent development of chronic inflammation.Methods:C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned to three groups.The control group were administrated with an ordinary diet.The two experimental groups were fed with a high fat diet or high fat plus 0.1% LA.Antioxidants defense index such as SOD,CAT,GSH-Px and MDA were examined after 10 week.Cytokines such as IFN-?,IL-4,IL-6,TNF-? and IL-10 were examined after 10 week,respectively.Gene expression related to oxidative stress and inflammation were confirmed by QRT-PCR.Results:HFD led to potently weaken antioxidant defenses in mice.HFD significantly increased levels of IFN-?,IL-6 and TNF-?,and decreased levels of IL-4 and IL-10 in mice plasma.QRT-PCR results showed an up-regulation of inflammation related genes and a down-regulation antioxidant-related genes.Conclusion:LA is a possibly effective supplementation with HFD,both to prevent from the development of long-term oxidative stress and to attenuate chronic inflammation.

The clinical data and routine biochemical parameters of 64 maintenance hemodialysis (MHD)patients and 20 controls were analyzed in the study.Serum cystatin C levels were detected by latex particle enhalice inununo-turbidimetry:and the cardial structure and function were assessed by echocardiography.As MHD time extended,the levels of semm cystatin C increased gradually,accompanied with high incidence of left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH).The LVH-positive patients had higher systolic blood pressure and left veHtricular mass index,and had higher serum cystatin C than tllose in LVH-negative patients.The serum cystatin C levels were positively correlated with left yentricular mass index(r=0.633,P<0.01)and systolic blood pressure(r:0.397,P<0.01).The results suggest that serum cystatin levels may be an influencing factor for long-term cardiacvascular complication in MHD patients.

Objective To observe the histopathological and ultrastructural changes of the supraspinal ligaments in ankylosing spondylitis (AS).Methods The supraspinal ligaments were stained with HE,Sirius Red/saturated carbazotic acid and then observed nuder microscope,electyonic scanning microscope and transmission electron microscope respectively.The density of blood vessel and collagen fibril were analy-zed.Statistical analysis was carried out by using t test.Results In the AS group,under the microscope,the arrangement of in collagen fibers was in chaos,and hyalinosis,fatty infiltration could be seen.Vascular proliferation was predominant.Collagen-Ⅲ expression could be detected in this group.Under electron microscope,the distribution of collagen fibril was sparse,and the periodic strita was indistinct,the matrix was degraded,and some matrix vesicle could be seen.While in the control group,orderly arrangd collagen fibrils could be seen,and no change of blood vessels could be seen.The density of vascular structures in the AS group was (6.8±0.7)/HP,and (1.0±0.4)/HP of the control group.The density of collagen fibrils in the AS group was (122±22)/μm2,and that of the control group was (218±10)/μm2,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion A series of histopathological changes have occurred in the supraspinal ligaments in AS patients.

AIM: To evaluate the changes in central corneal thickness (CCF) caused by mydriasis with Mydrin-P.METHODS: A total of 106 eyes of 53 patients with refractive errors were studied. Each eye had instillation of Mydrin-P to obtain mydriasis. CCT was examined before and after mydriasis using ultrasonic pachymeter.RESULTS: CCT increased significantly after mydriasis with Mydrin-P.CONCLUSION: Mydrin-P can affect the measurement of CCT.
