1.The mediating effect of coping strategies between perceived stress and mental health status of scientific and technical workers

Objective To investigate the mental health and the general well-being among Hangzhou scientific and technical workers,and the mediating effect of coping strategies in perceived level of stress and mental health status.Methods A stratified cluster sampling method were developed among engineering technicians,agrotechnicians,researchers,health works and teaching staff.510 participants were evaluated with perceived stress of different types,Trait Coping Style Questionnaire (TCSQ),General Well-Being Schedule (GWB),and Self-Reporting Questionnaire 20 (SRQ-20).Results There was significant difference among sub-groups with different educational backgrounds,different occupation,and different age group for total scores of perceived stress (F=5.026,5.637,6.421,P<0.01).Female had significantly higher scores than male on total scores of negative coping factor of TCSQ,total scores SRQ-20 (26.33±6.29,4.36±3.84 vs 24.93±5.68,3.32±3.53) (all P<0.05).Total scores of negative coping factor of TCSQ,total scores of positive coping factor of TCSQ,and total scores of perceived stress were the significant predictors of both total scores SRQ-20 and total scores of GWB (all P<0.001).Both total scores of positive coping factor of TCSQ and total scores of negative coping factor of TCSQ mediated the effects of perceived stress on total scores of SRQ-20 (23.87%,29.33%,respectively) and total scores of GWB (24.29%,23.24%,respectively).Conclusion There do exist the mediating effects between coping strategies in perceived stress and mental health status,the improvement of coping modes of scientific and technical workers can be regarded as a useful intervention strategy to improve their mental health status.

Background Nomal binocular vision is achieved through accommodation and vergence.Anisometropia is associated with abnormal visual development,but its impact on accommodation and vergence is unknown.This study is helpful to make a reaonable correction plan for anisometropia.Objective This clinical study was to examine the binocular vision function in myopic anisometropia and evaluate the influence of myopic anisometropia on binocular vision function.Methods Seventy subjects with myopic anisometropia ≥ 1.0 D were recruited in Tianjin Eye Hospital and Tianjin Vocational Institute from 2006 to 2009.The subjects were assigned to the low anisometropia group with the 1.0 D ≤ spherical equivalent difference < 2.5 D and the moderate and high anisometropia group with spherical equivalent difference ≥2.5D,and other 35 individuals with spherical equivalent difference < 1.0 D were enrolled as the without anisometropia group.Binocular vision function parameters were examined in all the individuals,including comprehensive refractometer to check the diopter,Worth 4 dot to examine the binocular vision function,different distance of vertical fusional amplitudes,accommodative convergence/accommodation (AC/A) and stereoscopic vision.Written informed consent was obtained from each subject prior to the study.Results After anisometropia was completely corrected,the normal rate of Worth 4 dot examination was 94.3%,80.0% and 60.0% in the without anisometropia group,low anisometropia group,moderate and high anisometropia group,respectively,showing a statistical difference among groups (x2 =12.137,P<0.05),and the normal rate of 4 dot was less,and that of 5 dot was higher in the moderate and high anisometropia group compared with the without anisometropia group and low anisometropia group (P<0.05).No significant difference was found in the normal rate for phoria of distance among the three groups (x2 =4.489,P=0.344).The normal rate for near phoria of distance was 65.7%,42.9% and 37.1% in the without anisometropia group,low anisometropia group,moderate and high anisometropia group,respectively,with significant difference among them (x2 =6.045,P<0.05).The normal rate of stereopsis was 91.4%,77.1% and 54.3% in the without anisometropia group,low anisometropia group,moderate and high anisometropia group,respectively,which was statistically different among groups (x2 =12.863,P =0.002),and that in the moderate and high anisometropia group was significant declined in comparison with the without anisometropia group (x2 =12.208,P < 0.05).The difference of distance phoria,AC/A,negative relative accommodation (NRA),positive relative accommodation (PRA),accommodation amplitude and binocular accommodative lag were statistically different among groups (P>0.05).Conclusions The normal rate of the stereopsis,Worth 4 dot and the phoria of near distance are decreased with the increase of anisometropia,but other ocular motor parameters are normal in anisometropic subject.

Early screening and intervention on post-stroke dysphagia (PSD) is very important in stroke treatment. Rehabilitation training and acupuncture are the main therapies on PSD. Comprehensive and individualized treatment under multi-disciplinary management models is the future direction. Normalizing clinical manipulation and constructing reasonable efficacy evaluation system are the key problems to be solved.
5.The relationship between pituitary adenomas,supraclinoidal segment of internal carotid artery and the visual impairment

Objective To demonstrate the cause of visual loss (VL) caused by pituitary adenomas (PAs),through retrospective study on the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radiological materials of patients with PAs.Methods Forty eight patients with PAs were selected,who received surgical treatment at our Hospital.Their medical records and MRI radiological films were reviewed.The relationship between the characteristics of PAs and the visual deterioration were analyzed.Neuro-ophthalmological findings were elevated with the relationship between the tumor and the supraelinoidal segment (C2 segment) of the internal carotid artery(ICA).Resuits On the coronal MR images,C2 segments of 28 sides(29.2%) were involved by the tumors whose value of VL in the ipsilateral eyes averaged 0.80±0.20 (range from 0.40 to 1.00).In the rest 68 sides (70.8%) without C2 segments involved,the valHe of VL in the correspondent eyes averaged 0.30±0.30 (range from 0.00 to 1.00).The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions If the C2 segment of ICA is invaded,the worse visual acuity would appear.which might be due to the markedly involved chiasmal arteries.

Shanghai district and county health system performance evaluation conceptual frameworkwas proposed based on health services system performance assessment frameworks raised by some countries and international organizations,and combined with Shanghai district and county health system characteristics.This framework contains two first grade indices and seven second grade indices:In the long term goals,'health','satisfaction' and 'disease risk protection' are the county's longterm effects of health system performance assessment dimensions; in the medium-term goals,the'accessibility','cost',' efficiency' and 'quality' are the county' s medium-term effects of health system performance assessment dimensions.This study aimed to evaluate Shanghai county health system's overall performance.Further study is needed in constructing its third grade indices.
8.Application of Propofol in Painless Fibrobronchoscopy and Its Effects

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effects of propofol in relieving pain during fibrobronchoscopy when it is used in general intravenous anesthesia.METHODS:160patients undergoing fibrobronchoscopy were randomly divided into propofol group and control group.90patients in the propofol group were anesthetized intravenously by injection of propofol at the dosage of1.5mg/kg and speed of30mg/10s and then underwent fibrobronchoscopy;While70patients in the control group underwent regular fibrobronchoscopy.RESULTS:The lash reflex disappeared within(40.73?7.91)seconds after propofol injection,and patients became conscious within(5.39?1.85)minutes after stopping injection,full consciousness occurred at(10.82?2.73)minutes.Electrocardiogram did not show any signs of change in blood pressure,myocardial ischemia and cardiac dysrhythmia,the post-operative satisfaction rate was96%as compared with81%in the control group.The patients in the propofol group showed extensive willingness for second fibrobronchoscopy,while the patients in the control group presented cough,struggle,and20%of them refused the second fibrobronchoscopy.CONCLUSION:It is safe and effective to apply propofol in painless fibrobronchoscopy.
9.Survey on Knowledge of Stroke Rehabilitation among Traditional Chinese Medicine Physicians in 14 Tertiary A- level Hospitals

Objective To investigate the current situation of knowledge of stroke rehabilitation among Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) physicians in 14 tertiary A-level hospitals. Methods A cross section survey was conducted in 14 tertiary A-level hospital in China in May, 2012. A total of 128 TCM physicians completed the questionnaire, which was created according to Medical Care Guideline of Stroke Rehabilitation in China. Results Overall accuracy of stroke rehabilitation basic knowledge was 66.83%, 88.77% of stroke rehabilitation evaluation, 75.12% of stroke rehabilitation treatment. Conclusion The knowledge of stroke rehabilitation is insufficient among TCM physicians in tertiary A-level hospitals, and further training is needed.
10.Survey of hyperuricemia and its association with the risks of cardiovascular disorders in elder people of Changchun City

Objective To survey the prevalence of Hyperuricemia (HUA) in elder population of Changchun city,and to detect the correlation between cardiovascular risk factors and the HUA.Methods 900 residents older than 55 years were selected randomly for this questionnaire survey.Physical and laboratory examinations were performed.Results The HUA prevalence rate elder people in Xixin District of Changchun was 16.0%(144/900),while the rates were 13.7%(50/365),15.2%(47/309) and 20.8%(47/226) (P<0.05) in the elder group (55-65 years),the aged group (66-75 years),and the advanced aged group (older than 76 years) respectively;there was no statistical significant difference in the prevalences between male and female (x2=0.023 5,P>0.05).The HUA prevalence rate was significantly different between people who had different level of blood pressure,cholesterol,hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP),body mass index (BMI),waisthip ratio (WHR).The level of uric acid (UA),total cholesterol (TC) and hs-CRP was significantly different in people with high uric acid when compared with those of normal patients (P<0.05).There was positive correlation between UA level and TC,triglyceride (TG) level (r=0.364,P<0.05;r=0.479,P<0.05).Conclusion The HUA prevalence rate increases significantly as people getting older.There is positive correlation between the increase of uric acid level and the major cardiovascular risk factor.People with hypertension,hyperlipidemia,overweight and obese have high risk for HUA,so change life style and dietary habits may prevent or reduce the occurrence of HUA.
