Objective To develop a novel automatic water system for ventilator humidifier. Methods By hanging the infusion apparatus high, sustained water was filled by driving force of gravity.Liquid level in the thong of the infusion apparatus was detected by the sensor, and the closing and opening of the closing clip was controlled by solenoid valve. Results The closing clip opened when the liquid level inside the ventilator humidifier fell below the lowest setting value and purified water in the infusion bottle automatically flowed to the humidifier. When the liquid level reached the highest setting level, the closing clip was automatically closed. Conclusions The developed automatic water system for ventilator humidifier is effective, convenient, inexpensive, and realized a sustained, relatively steady and a small amount of water process.Meanwhile, humidifier water is stable, heating is uniform, and gas temperature is relatively constant, which can be applied in clinical use.

Plantaris bend malformation of ankle joint,a serious epiphenomenon will occurs when patients lie on bed for a long time.A new type of ankle joint movement device is studied.Powered by electric motor with giant torque and super low velocity and controlled by timing controlling circuit, this device enable the ankle joint a 20?~ 30?back stretch and 40?~ 50?plantaris bend.Furthermore,it can set different moving angle and time according to individual conditions and can perform slow, continuous and reciprocating motion for different actual need.Patients whose ankle joints are unable or difficult to move actively can benefit from this device in preventing plantaris bend malformation of ankle joint, ankle joint stiffness and muscle atrophy of lower limb.

Objective To develop an intermittent type treatment instrument for cervical vertebra. Methods Biomechanics, human body engineering and electronics technique were used.It could heat and lead in the intermittent type. The control electric circuit was composed by 555 IC.Results The product had a good therapeutic effect for cervical vertebra disease. It could alleviate some bad symptoms. Conclusion The intermittent type treatment instrument for cervical vertebra has better treatment effect. It is more desirable to add the function of heating except for pulling.

Vitrectomy with inert gas or silicone oil tamponade is an effective surgical treatment of complicated retinal detachment.Maintaining the passive position after the surgery related to the success of the operation. If there is no suitable head-resting table, patients will have a lot of symptoms due to long time sitting with head bowed. In this paper,we developed a special head-resting table for patients of sitting position with head bowed after vitrectomy. It can adjust the head position more accurately, increase patient comfort, ensure the maintenance of the correct body position for a long time, and effectively reduce the various symptoms of the prone position, improve the success rate of surgery.

Objective To design a waterproof protective sleeve to overcome the disadvantages of venous indwelling catheter in inconvenient bathing, easy immersion and pressure injury. Methods From January to March 2016, a total of 200 patients with peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) from Wuxi No.2 People's Hospital were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 100 cases in each group. In the control group, patients' PICC sites were protected by traditional method, while in the observation group, a new type of protective air cushion and special transparent waterproof sleeves were applied to the PICC sites before bath. The incidence of infections and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The incidences of infections and complications of the control group were significantly higher than those of the observation group (χ2=30.61, 31.72; P<0.05). In the observation group, the PICC sites were well protected from external injuries and water immersion. Conclusions The waterproof protective sleeves are cheap and convenient to apply, which can significantly reduce the incidence of complications caused by bathing and ensure the safety of patients' catheters. It is worthy of clinical promotion.
