1.Endoscopic endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy assisted by image guidance system to chronic dacryocystistis.

OBJECTIVE:
To estimate the value of nasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy combined image guidance system in treating chronic dacryocystistis.
METHOD:
Thirteen cases (14 eyes) performed surgeries with nasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy combined image guidance system from January 2010 to August 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. Their clinical data were analyzed and the effect of the surgery was evaluated.
RESULT:
All patients were followed-up for more than half a year. Of all patients,12 eyes were cured, 2 eyes were improved and 0 eyes were noneffective. The total treatment effectiveness was 100%. There was no complication for all cases.
CONCLUSION
Nasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy combined image guidance system is an effective and reliable treatment method for chronic dacryocystistis, especially for intraoperative location of lacrimal sac and control of operating process.

4.THE INPUT AND OUTPUT OF HEALTH HUMAN RESOURCE FOR COUNTY-LEVEL HOS-PITALS IN WESTERN CHINA

Objective To analyze the inputs and outputs of Health Human Resource for County -level Hos-pitals in Western China , discuss the reasons for low efficiency and quality , and provide references for improving the efficiency and quality of health human resources .Methods Using rank-sum ratio to evaluate the health human re-sources of 33 county -level hospitals of 11 provinces in western China , and to compare the evaluation results . Results In the comprehensive analysis of human input and output of health human resources between 11 provinces , according to the health human resources efficiency level of 11 provinces into third gear:a hard stop ( high-grade):Sichuan, Guangxi;second gear (mid-range): Gansu, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Ti-bet, Xinjiang;third gear (low-grade):Qinghai.Conclusion In the nationwide perspective , the efficiency of the western provinces of health human resources is lower , and we need to take measures to improve the efficiency of health human resources .
5.The role of Wnt signal pathway related proteins in the development of spontaneous breast cancer in TA2 mice

Objective To investigate the role of Wnt signal pathway related proteins in the tumorigenesis of sponta-neous breast cancer in TA2 mice. Methods Mammary glands were collected from tissues of normal 5 cases of TA2 mice. Spontaneous breast cancers and relevant mammary glands precancerous lesions were harvested from 5 cases of TA2 mice. Mammary tissue samples from normal TA2 mice, precancerous lesions and cancer tissues of spontaneous breast cancer-bearing TA2 mice were subsequently used to detect the expression of Wnt1,Wnt5a andβ-catenin via immunohistochemical staining. Results ① Results of immunohistochemical staining showed that the positive ex-pression of Wnt1 and Wnt5 a located in cytoplasm in spontaneous breast cancers and mammary gland precancerous lesions from TA2 mice. The normal mammary glands were negative for Wnt1 and Wnt5a staining. The cytoplasm of precancerous lesions showed higher expression for Wnt1 and Wnt5a than them in the breast cancer. β-catenin in breast cancer and precancerous lesions were abnormal cytoplasmic expression. The expression level in breast cancer was higher than in the precancerous lesions. In normal mammary gland, the positive expression ofβ-catenin mainly located in the cytomembrane. ② The positive expression rates of Wnt1, Wnt5a and β-catenin in normal breast group,precancerous group and breast cancer group were ( 4. 46 ± 3. 57 )%, ( 96. 50 ± 6. 30 )%, ( 90. 00 ± 1. 17 )%, ( 2. 27 ± 4. 55 )%, ( 96. 24 ± 6. 00 )%, ( 95. 90 ± 4. 32 )%, ( 4. 78 ± 3. 57 )%, ( 60. 59 ± 5. 63 )%, (84. 87 ± 2. 56)%,respectively. The positive expression rates of the three in precancerous group and breast cancer group were significantly higher than those in normal breast group(P<0. 01). The positive expression rates of Wnt1, Wnt5a in precancerous group were higher than those in the tumor group,and the differences of Wnt1 had statistical significance (P<0. 05) while Wnt5a did not (P>0. 05). Compared with breast cancer group,the precancerous group had lower positive expression rate of β-catenin and the differences also had statistical significance ( P <0. 05 ) . Conclusion Wnt1 , Wnt5 a and β-catenin promote the progression of spontaneous breast cancer in TA2 mice.
6.The effects of sustained +Gz condition and administration of depside salt from salvia miltiorrhiza on the dental pulp of rats

Objective:To investigate effects of depside salt from salvia miltiorrhiza(DSSM)on the dental pulp of rats under repeated exposure to +Gz acceleration.Methods:27 male SD rats were randomly divided into 9 groups(n =3).The rats in negative control group was only fixed with rats kept-keeling device,in positive control group were exposed to +5 Gz and +10 Gz respectively for 30 s each time,5 times per day,4 days per week,for 3 consecutive weeks.The rats in other groups were respectively given DSSMat 2,6 and 18 mg/kg respectively 30 min before each +Gz exposure.The rats in negative and positive control groups were injected with 0.9%sodium chloride solution 30 min prior to +Gz exposure.After the experiment,The pulp changes were observed by HE staining.Real time qPCR was applied to determine the relative expression of heat sheck protein(HSP70)mRNA.Results:+Gz exposure decreased the activity degree of the rats,and resulted in damage of rat dental pulp.With the increase of +Gz value,the relative expression of HSP70 mRNA was increased(P <0.05).HSP70 mRNA expression in drug groups was less than that in their own positive control groups,but showed statistical significance only in the 18 mg/kg and +10 Gz group(P <0.05).Conclusion:+Gz exposure may dam-age dental pulp.DSSMhas certain protective effect under +Gz exposure.
7.Clinical and pathological analysis of seven patients with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy 2B

Objective To analyze the clinical and pathological features of limb-girdle muscular dystrophy2B(LGMD2B).Methods The clinical and pathological features of 7 patients with LGMD2B were analyzed retrospectively.Results Seven patients had a slow onset,and progressive proximal muscle weakness,muscle atrophy,progressive,and incresed serum creatine phosphokinase; muscle biopsy showed different degree of muscle fiber degeneration,necrosis; stromal and inflammatory cell infiltration in muscle fiber; monoclonal antibody immunohistoehemical staining:showed expression of Dysferlin protein was not found in muscle cell membrane,Dystrophin,Sarcoglycans protein expression was normal.Monoclonal antibody immunohistochemical staining the proteins were expressed in normal cell membrane.Conclusions LGMD2B is a slow onset,progressive proximal muscle weakness,muscle atrophy.Histochemical staining on the basis of further immunohistochemical staining,to detect the membrane protein and Dysferlin protein expression,that is a necessary means to diagnose LGMD2B and inflammatory myopathies.

9.Investigation of severe combined immunodeficient mice transplanted with human hematopoietic cells intraperitoneally and intravenously

Objective:To compare the seeding efficiency and graft versus host disease (GVHD) of severe combined immunodeficient (SCID) mice transplanted with human hematopoietic cells intraperitoneally (ip) and intravenously (iv) and to explore the method to set up psoriatic animal model by xenogeneic bone marrow transplantation.Methods:Normal human bone marrow mononuclear cells (BMMNC) were separated by density gradient centrifugation and BMMNC (4?10~7) were injected into lethally irradiated SCID mice by ip or iv injection. GVHD symptom and periphery blood white blood cell resuming dynamics in mice were observed after xenotransplantation and flow cytometry was performed to detect human source CD45~+ cells proportion in periphery blood and bone marrow of mice.Results:The mice transplanted by tail intravenous injection presented obvious GVHD symptoms promptly 2 weeks after transplanting and only one mouse survived in 12 weeks. Among the mice received tail intravenous injection and dealed with cydosporin(CsA) and methotrexate(MTX),some of the mice showed slight GVHD symptom and survival rate was 80%(8/10) in 12 weeks. Slight GVHD symptoms appeared after human bone marrow transplantation by intraperitoneal injection and then most of mice returned to the normal and the survival rate was 70%(7/10) in 12 weeks. The periphery blood white blood cells resuming dynamics, CD45~+ cell proportion of periphery blood and bone marrow after transplantation show no significant difference between the groups transplanted by intravenous and intraperitoneal injection.Conclusion:Human hematopoietic cells could home to bone marrow in SCID mice and result in hematopoietic reconstitution. The transplantation method by intraperitoneal injection, which showed efficient seeding capability, can be used to both bone-marrow transplantation and reducing GVHD.
10.Quality Control of Determination of Formaldehyde in Indoor Air by 4-Amino-3-Hydrazine-Mercapto-1, 2, 4-Amilinoazaole Spectrophotometry

Objective To research the quality control of determination of formaldehyde concentration in the indoor air in the newly decorated houses with 4-amino-3-hydrazine-mercapto-1, 2, 4-amilinoazaole spectrophotometry. Methods 35 newly decorated houses in two urban districts of Guiyang were chosen and the air samples were collected from March to December in 2004. Formaldehyde concentration was determined as soon as the air samples were collected, and the laboratory internal quality was controlled by using the standard sample in the determination. Results The formaldehyde concentration range of 35 newly decorated houses was 0.01-1.71 mg/m3, the detection rates was 100%, the rate of exceeding national standard was 77.1% and the median was 0.28 mg/m3. The recovery rates of quality control samples were 90.70%-103.00%. Conclusion The quality control method used in the present paper can make the results of formaldehyde concentration determinated with 4-amino-3-hydrazine-mercapto-1, 2, 4-amilinoazaole spectrophotometry be controlled in the demanded ranges of errors.
