At present,there is not a clear guideline for residual solvents in the new drugs in our country. In practice,the ICH Q3C is our important reference in general,but in practical research and evaluation of new drugs,some adjustment should be made on principles of ICH Q3C,making it suitable for the reality of the pharmaceutical industry in our country. In this article, we put forward some suggestions to improve the quality control of residual solvents in our country,and some initial ideas were provided to solve the question in practice.

BACKGROUND:Previous studies from Shaanxi Institute of Ophthalmology have shown that ostrich cornea has the advantages to be developed into the alternatives of human corneal material.
OBJECTIVE:To determine the potential toxic effects of ostrich corneal stromal scaffold on cel s.
METHODS:Cel culture methods were used to culture L-929 cel s in the extracts of ostrich acel ular corneal
stroma which was dried and dehydrated. 3-(4,5)-Dimethylthiahiazo(-z-y1)-3,5-di-phenytetrazoliumromide assay was used to evaluate the growth and proliferation of cel s after cultured for 1, 2 and 3 days.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After the cel s were cultured in the extracts of ostrich acel ular corneal stroma subjected to dryness and dehydration for 1, 3 and 5 days, and the toxicity level of cultured cel s was graded as level 1. The cytotoxicity test was conducted according to the“National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T16886.5-2003”. After cultured in the extracts of ostrich acel ular corneal stroma, a smal number of cel s were round in shape and loosely adherent without intracytoplasmic granules, and cel lysis could be observed
occasional y. The results of 3-(4,5)-dimethylthiahiazo(-z-y1)-3,5-di-phenytetrazoliumromide assay showed that
the ostrich acel ular corneal stromal scaffold which was dried and dehydrated had level 1 of cytotoxicity and could be considered as a qualified material.

Objective To investigate the effects of surgery-induced menopause on neuropsychological symptoms in women with perimenopause. Methods Sixty-eight women with perimenopause who underwent bilateral oophorectomy for benign indications were evaluated by the modified Kupperman index on the perimenopause syndrome pre-and post-surgery,including the score in neuropsychological symptoms.Patients were further requested to remake a decision on the acceptance of surgery,and were divided into "accept the surgery" group(n=30) and "postpone the surgery" group(n=38).The neuropsychological symptoms were reevaluated and comparison was made between these two groups. Results The prevalence of perimenopause syndrome pre-surgery was 67.65%(22/68),and that of moderate and severe symptoms was 30.88%.The prevalence of perimenopause syndrome post-surery(97.06%)(66/68)was significantly increased,as well as that of moderate and severe symptoms(70.59%)(P

Objectives:To investigate the pathogenesis of Chlamydia pneumoniae (C.pneumoniae) pneumoniae with immunohistochemical staining of tissue biopsies. Methods:The Icr mice were inoculated with C.pneumoniae, strain CWL 029, by the intranasal or intravenous routes. After a single inoculation, mice were killed on the 1st, 3rd, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th and 60th day separately. Lung specimens were obtained from the acute stage of C.pneumoniae pneumonitis and stained using a C.pneumoniae specific monoclonal antibody. Results:In the intranasal inoculation of mice, the immunoperoxidase staining of C.pneumoniae in lung tissue was positive on day 3,7,14. The positive staining of inflammatory lung tissue was not even but local. The positive expressions of C.pneumoniaewas were mainly in the alveolar macrophages, the interstitial cells and the lymphoid tissues surrounding the bronchi. After iv inoculation, a similarly changes were found but the degree was lighter than that of intranasal inoculation group. The positive expressions of C.pneumoniaewas were mainly in the alveolar macrophages and the interstitial cells. Conclusions:Immunohistochemistry is beneficial to the diagnosis of the acute stage of C.pneumoniae pneumonitis in the mice, and the pathogenesis of infection in intranasal inoculation group was more serious than that of iv inoculation group.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between NT-probrain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels and the degree of coronary artery stenosis in elderly patients with non-ST elevation acute coronary syndromes (NST-ACS).Methods The levels of NT-proBNP were determined in 258 elderly patients with NST-ACS divided into 3 quartile groups based on the degree of coronary artery stenosis,and 62 normal controls.And NT-pro BNP were compared among 4 groups.Results The serum levels of NT proBNP were increased in the NST-ACS patients with single,two or three-artery lesion compared with normal controls [(197.3±80.2)ng/L,(381.7±73.5)ng/L,(496.5± 99.8) ng/L vs.(68.2 ± 36.1) ng/L].The level of NT proBNP was enhanced along with increasing severity coronary artery disease (all P＜0.01).And with aging,the NT-proBNP levels were rising [aged＞60-69 years:(182.34±69.13) ng/L; aged≥70-79 years:(302.68±87.51)ng/L; aged≥80 years:(482.09±82.2)ng/L] (all P＜0.01).Conclusions The NT-proBNP level is enhanced along with aging and increasing severity of coronary artery stenosis in elderly NST-ACS patients.

″Herb-Pairs″, also known as pair drugs, refers to a prescription consisted of two relatively fixed traditional Chinese medicine, is the most basic, most simple and most common form of medication prescription in traditional Chinese medicine compound compatibility. It is not a random combination of two herbs, nor is the simple accumulation of efficacy, but the simple and delicate experience of ancient Chinese medicine practitioners. As a bridge between single drug and prescriptions, it is the embodiment of the regular and dialectical connotation. Therefore, research on Herb-Pairs has always been the most basic and most important entry point for compound compatibility studies. However, the interaction between herbs and herbs is an effect with a downside as well as benefits. The beneficial herb-herb interaction in Herb-Pairs include mutual promotion, mutual enhancement, mutual restraint between two drugs and counteract toxicity of another drug. And the harmful herb- herb interaction in Herb- Pairs includes mutual inhibition and antagonism. All of these interactions areby means of affecting the metabolism of components to play a therapeutic effect. Using the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) binding model, the combination of drug metabolism and pharmacodynamics can further elucidate the influence on effect caused by drug concentration and metabolism, which can help elucidate the mechanism of drug action. Consequently, in this review, the herb-herb interactions in terms of pharmacokinetic were summarized to elucidate rule of TCM compatibility.

Objective To evaluate the position deviation of multi-leaf collimator (MLC) in volumetric modulated arc therapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma and to verify a method of detecting the leaf position accuracy.Methods Thirty-two volumetric modulated arc plans of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were randomly selected.A clockwise arc with a gantry range of 181° to 179° and a counterclockwise arc with a gantry range of 179° to 181° were uscd for each plan.Each arc contained two leaf groups,groups A and B.By using the Argus software,the actual MLC leaf positions were extracted from the Dynalog files in the Varian Trilogy accelerator.The planed MLC leaf positions were compared with the actual positions,and the differences were calculated between them.Results The proportions of the leaf position errors within ± 2,± 1.5,± 1 and ± 0.5 mm were 99.99％,99.90％,99.07％ and 93.98％,respectively.The proportions of the leaf position errors within ± 1 mm were 98.08％,100％,98.97％ and 99.01％ for the first therapeutic arc (ARC1),second therapeutic arc (ARC2),A and B groups,respectively.The leaf position errors range of ARC1 and ARC2 were-2.95 to 2.99 and-0.22 to 0.23 mm (t =2.35,P ＜ 0.01).The leaf position errors range of leaf bank A and leaf bank B were-2.95 to 2.68 and-2.92 to 2.99 mm(P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions During the volumetric modulated arc radiotherapy,the leaf positions deviation are in control.The Dynalog files can be used as an effective way to analysis the leafposition errors.

Objective To explore the effect of research practical teaching mode on the critical thinking ability and innovation ability of nursing in the course of community nursing teaching.Methods The research practical teaching was provided for 90 nursing students.They were investigated with the WatsonGlaser Critical Thinking Appraisal (WGCTA) and the test of self innovation level scale before and after teaching.Results After the teaching,the total score of critical thinking and the score of innovation ability among nursing students were significantly improved.the recognition hypothesis,deduction, explanation,evaluation discussed dimensions were statistically significant,but before and after teaching reasoningdimensions showed no significant difference.Conclusions Research practical teaching mode can improve critical thinking ability and innovation ability of nursing students in the course of community nursing teaching.

Objective To assess the effects of intracoronary tirofiban on preventing no-reflow during emergency percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods All 99 cases with acute myocardial infarction who underwent emergency PCI between March 2009 and March 2012 were randomized into test group of intracoronary bolus administration of tirofiban (n=50) and group of control (n =49).The clinical characteristics and the result of coronarography were observed.Thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) flow grade,and corrected TIMI frame count (cTFC) of the two groups were compared.Incidence of 30 days follow-up major adverse cardiac events(MACE) and major bleeding events were also observed in both groups.Results Compared with control group,tirofiban treated group showed significantly more patients higher TIMI-3 flow (P＜0.05).cTFC was decreased in tirofiban treated group (21.3 ± 6.7) as compared to control group (37.6 +7.2),(P＜0.05).The incidence of no-reflow in tirofiban treated group was lower than in control.The incidence of major bleeding events were the same among two groups,while the incidence of 30 days follow-up MACE in tirofiban treared group (8％) was reduced compared with control group (18.4 ％),(P＜ 0.05).Conclusions Intracoronary tirofiban prior to emergency PCI is safe and effective for the patients with acute STEMI.It might lead to improved TIMI flow and myocardial reperfusion.

Objective To enlarge the scan width of cone-beam computed tomograpby(CBCT) and offer the integrity of structures( including tumor targets and organs at risk) on CBCT images by pasting the CBCT images together without gap or data lost. Methods Patients received CBCT scan twice at different longitude position. The two CBCT image series were then imported to TPS and fused with the planning CT. The same layer of two CBCT series was found by analyzing the two fusion results and recording their sequence numbers. The CBCT image series and the sequence numbers were sent to" CBCT Pasting", a special software we developed for this investigation. Then the software merged the CBCT series into the same reference flame. To validate the feasibility of CBCT Pasting,we observed its geometric characteristics by patients and phantoms. Results On the images of phantom, the difference was 0.26% (28.34 cm3) of the total body volume,and 1.87% (12.82cm3) and 1.47%(10.07cm3) of the two lungs between CT and CBCT images. On the images of patients, the difference was 1.97% (64.53cm3) ,2.30%(33.32cm3) and 1.75%(31.21cm3) for the total-lung,the left lung and the right lung. Conclusions The CBCT scan and pasting can enlarge the scan width without image data lost. This technique can provide a chance to observe the whole target and OAR and help physicists to evaluate the treatment plan.
