Chinese Journal of Health Policy 2015;(9):29-35
With the 2015 deadline for fast approaching the millennium development goals ( MDGs) , attention has turned to what should follow. The post-2015 development agenda is due to be adopted by the world leaders in a high-level summit which was held in New York in September 2015 .This paper summarizes the health-related MDGs progress and suggestions, describes the negotiations process on the health-related post-2015 development agenda, dis-cusses the proposed framework of the sustainable development goals and its indicators, and then provides some sug-gestions on the Chinese participation in the post-2015 development agenda as well as in the upcoming high-level sum-mit.

BACKGROUND: Currently, therapies for spinal cord injury include steroid pulse therapy, surgical decompression and stem cel therapy. A lot of work has been focused on stem cel therapy for spinal cord injury which has become a hot spot. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the research status and progress in induced pluripotent stem cells for treatment of spinal cord injury. METHODS: A computer-based online search of PubMed (1980-01/2011-11) was performed for articles in English using the keywords of “spine injury, induced pluripotent stem cells, IPS”RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 35 articles were included in result analysis, in which, stem cel therapy for treatment of spinal cord injury is agreed or supported. Induced pluripotent stem cells are isolated directly from the body, which solves ethical and moral issues in the transplantation of stem cells, meanwhile avoids al ograft rejection and also provides a large source of cells. Stem cel therapy for spinal cord injury is widely used in animal experiments but few in clinical application. However, stem cel therapy has a good effect in the animal experiments, and shows a higher safety. The existing problems of induced pluripotent stem cells to treat spinal cord injury mainly include immature differentiating method of induced pluripotent stem cells and more complications. Therefore, induced differentiation and security of induced pluripotent stem cells for treatment of spinal cord injury wil become a research key.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(20):-
Objective To evaluate the effects of exercise therapy in the treatment of hemiplegia following cerebral hemorrhage. Methods Activities of daily living(ADL) scoring and Fugl Meyer test were performed in 46 patients with hemiplegia following cerebral hemorrhage undergoing exercise therapy before and after treatment. Results Significant improvement of ADL, upper extremity function, and balance and walking abilities was found after treatment( P

Objective To evaluate the safety of endoscopic ligation of gastric and colic full-thickness wall with nylon loops. Methods Endoscopic ligation of full gastric and colic wall with detachable nylon loops, assisted by laparotomy, were performed in 4 dogs.Ligation healing was assessed on 3, 7, 10and 17 days after the procedure. Results All animals recovered after the procedure, without any clinical signs of infection or hemorrhage.Postoperative examination did not reveal gastric or colonic perforation, or local abscess.Loop ligature showed ulcer-like lesion.Histopathology revealed muscularis propria disruption, granulation tissue bridging the site of ligation and formation of scar tissue.Regenerative mucosa coyered the surface of the ligature completely 17 days after the operation. Conclusion Endoscopic ligation of gastric and colic full-thickness wall with detachable nylon loops is safe. Its application can be extended to other fields.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(07):-
Objective:To investigate whether topical hypothermia circumstance has the protective effects to the blood-ocular barriers during intraocular operations. Methods:Twenty New Zealand albino rabbits accepted vitrectomy in both eyes, useing hypothermal(4-10℃) intraocular irrigating solution in left eye(hypothermal intraocular irrigating solution group),and useing room temperature(25℃) intraocular irrigating solution in right eye(room temperature intraocular irrigating solution group)during the vitrectomy.Twenty-four hours after the operation, the retina of both eyes were checked;each eye accepted cavum vitreum perforation, and 0.5 ml of intraocular fluid were aspirsted for biochemical detection as well;as well as the retinas cut off for transmission electron microscopical(TEM) observations. Results:Inflammatory reaction of anterior ocular and the uvea in left eyes were generally slighter than the right eyes;dioptric media clarity of left eyes were also better than that in left eyes;average total protein concentration of the intraocular fluid was obviously lower than that in left eye(P

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2014;(4):445-447,448
Translation is a fundamental step in regulation of gene expression and abnormalities in this process may lead to cancer. In eukaryotic cells, translation of mRNA is mainly regulated by many eukaryotic initiation factors ( eIFs) . EIF3 plays an impor-tant role in translational regulation, cell growth and oncogenesis. The largest subunit of eIF3, eIF3a may play a role as a regulator of mRNAs. The relationship between eIF3a and oncogenesis has been found. Moreover, the eIF3a mRNA is ubiquitously ex-pressed in different cancer cells and can modulate the cell cycle. However, some studies indicate that eIF3a could provide protec-tion against evolution into higher malignancy and reduce the re-sistance to chemotherapy . The patients of high eIF3a expression could get a better prognosis . In fact, the role of eIF3a is still un-clear in cancer cells. EIF3a may be involved in the process of tumor pathophysiology, but its regulatory role is undulatory.
