2.Evaluation of regional myocardial mechanical dysfunction of left ventricle in female patients with ECG T-wave inversion using velocity vector imaging
Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2013;(4):286-291
Objective To evaluate regional myocardial mechanical dysfunction of left ventricle in patients with ECG T-wave inversion using echocardiographic velocity vector imaging. Methods One hundred nineteen female patients with T wave inversion divided into three groups:V1-6 T-wave inversion group(52 patients),V1-4 Twave inversion group (33 patients),V3-6 T-wave inversion group (34patients),while selected 44 healthy women in control group.Peak systolic radial strain (SRSmax) and strain rate (SRSrmax),peak systolic circumferential strain (SCSrmax) and strain rate (SCSmax) were derived and compared from three short-axis views of left ventricle at 18 wall segments using a dedicated Syngo VVI software and workstation, and the depth of T-wave inversion in different precordial lead was measured and correlated with mechanics parameters between four groups. Results In V1-6 T-wave inversion group, each mechanical variable of anteroseptal, anterior, anterolateral and inferolateral walls decreased (P <0.05-0.01).In V1-4 T-wave inversion group each mechanical variable of anteroseptal, anterior and inferoseptal walls declined (P <0.05-0.01).In V3-6 T-wave inversion group four mechanical variables(i.e.,SRSmax SRSr SCSmax and SCSrmax) of anteroseptal, anterior, anterolateral and inferolateral walls reduced, mainly at basal segment (P <0.05-0.01).The ventricular segments of reduced SRSmax,SRSrmax and SCSrmax in V1-6 T-wave inversion group and of SRSrmax in V3-6 T-wave inversion group were more than those in V1-4 T-wave inversion group (P <0.05-0.01).In V1-6 T-wave inversion group, negative correlationships between radial mechanical variables of anteroseptal wall and the depths of V4 and V5 lead T-wave inversion were found (r =-0.29--0.37,P <0.05-0.01).Otherwise a positive correlationships between SCSmax of anterolateral wall and the depth of V3 lead T-wave inversion were established (rs =0.44,P =0.01) in V1-4 T-wave inversion group. Conclusions There is a regional myocardial dysfunction of LV in female patients with ECG T-wave inversion. The extent of electrical repolarization abnormality is correlated to the severity of regional myocardial dysfunction.

2 cm) according to the size of lesions. Large wound sections were sutured with metal clips. Results Histopathologic investigation showed that among 54 lesions, there were 13 cases of adenoma,38 cases of adenoma with atypical hyperplasia (10 cases with mild dysplasia,23 with moderate dysplasia and 5 with severe dysplasia )and 3 cases of mucosal cancer. We followed forty cases, local recurrence was found in none of 29 cases after 6 months of EMR. However, the recurrence was found in 2 of 11 cases after 1 month of EPMR and 1 each after 3 and 6 month of EPMR. There was no recurrence after further endoscopic re-treatment. Among 3 cancer patients,2 patients shifted to surgery due to patient's preference and 1 patient was followed up for 6 months. All of them were found without local recurrence by endoscopic biopsies or surgical results. Conclusions Chromoscopy, magnifying colonoscopy and EUS have benefits in diagnosis of early large bowel tumors, and it is also helpful in selecting the proper treatment so as to reduce the complication and recurrence.

0.05). Conclusion Matrine could significantly down-regulate the mRNA expression of stat3 and stat5 and protein expression of STAT3 and STAT5 in SMMC-7721 cells. So matrine could inhibit the signaling transduction pathway of JAK-STAT and inhibit the proliferation of SMMC-7721 cells.

Objective To explore the difference of the clinical effect and changes of neck’s curvature after different pulling treatments on cervical spondylopathy between two groups. Methods Seventy eight patients were randomly divided into 2 groups. Therapy group(39 cases) were treated with traction and counter-traction manipulation of Chinese massage in supine position, and control group(39 cases) were treated with conventional traction in sitting position . Results After first period of treatment, the rates of cure were 79.5% in therapy group and 43.6% in control group . There was significant difference between the two methods(P

Objective To study the therapeatic effect of testosterone on skeletal muscle atrophy induced by dexamethasone in rat, and to explore the relationship between androgen and insulin like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) expression in skeletal muscle and serum. Methods Forty female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups: control group (CON) in which the rats were injected with saline and sesame oil for 10 days; dexamethasone group (DEX) in which the rats were injected with dexamethasone and sesame oil for 10 days; testosterone group (TES) in which the rats were injected with saline and testosterone for 13 days; and the testosterone+dexamethasone group (TES+DEX) in which the rats were injected with dexamethasone and testosterone. The animals were weighed daily. 24 hours following the final injection, animals were weighed and sacrificed. Blood samples were withdrawn from the abdominal aorta and centrifuged at 3 000r/min for 10min. The supernatant was collected and stored at -20?C. Gastrocnemius muscle was removed, weighed and stored at -80?C. IGF-1 mRNA expression in skeletal muscle was determined by real-time PCR. IGF-1 protein expression in serum was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results Testosterone attenuated the body weight loss and gastrocnemius muscle weight loss in rats as a result of dexamethasone adminishation (P

Objective To investigate the indications to use a temporary pacemaker for bifascicular block in perioperative period. Methods The treatment for 40 patients with heart bifascicular block and a special case were retrospectively studied. All cases, according to their disease history, clinical symptoms, physical ability and atrio-ventricular conduction ability, were divided into two groups:P group(prophylactic insertion of a temporary pacemaker) and N group(without inserting a pacemaker).During operation,we observed whether atrio-ventricular block occurs, the performance of pacemaker and atropine's therapeutic efficacy to bradycardia. Results Anesthesia was postponed in one case because of acute left bundle branch block(LBBB) and the patient died with severe myocardium damage soon after failed resuscitation. All other cases went through anesthesia and operation smoothly.Bradycardia and hypotension could be relieved somewhat by medication in operation, and no complete atrio-ventricular block developed. Conclusion There is no need inserting a temporary pacemaker for chronic bifascicular block if asymptomatic and no atrio-ventricular block.Transesophageal atrial pacing is an easy way to evaluate in quantification atrio-ventricular conduction ability.
