2.Biocompatibility of polytetrafluoroethylene combined with type I collagen as a nose filler material
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;19(30):4837-4841
BACKGROUND:Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTEE) as a nose filer material has advantages on the resistant to corrosion, chemical stability and so on. However, its linear expansion coefficient is large easily leading to infection and rejection, and its application has some limitations. OBJECTIVE:To compare the cel toxicity, inflammatory infiltrates and biocompatibility indexesin vivo between PTEE and PTEE combined with type Ⅰ colagen. METHODS: MTT method was used to detect the relative proliferation rate of L929 cels cultured with PTEE extract or PTEE combined with type Ⅰ colagen extract; an electron microscope was used to observe the cel growth. PTEE or PTEE combined with type Ⅰ colagen was embedded under the nasal dorsal fascia of New Zealand white rabbits for 7 days, and hematoxylin-eosin staining was used to detect whether nasal mucosa epithelial tissue had inflammatory infiltration. Systemic toxicity, alergies, pyrogen reaction and deaths of rabbits were observed after injection of two kinds of material extracts by ear vein. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The cytotoxicity and inflammatory infiltration were milder in PTEE combined with type Ⅰ colagen group than PTEE group (P < 0.05). The alergic reactions and pyrogen reactions were fewer in PTEE combined with type Ⅰ colagen group than PTEE group (P < 0.05). These findings indicate that PTEE combined with type Ⅰ colagen as the nose filer material has better biocompatibility.

4.ANALYSIS OF THE NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITION OF SIX KINDS OF COLD-WATER FISHES
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 2004;0(05):-
Objective: The nutritional composition of the muscle of six kinds of cold-water fishes was analyzed . Methods: All fishes were collected and analysed from Bohai Experimental Farm, a base of Heilongjiang River Fisheres Research Institute by conventional biochemical methods. Results: The content of crude protein, lipid and ashes in muscle of six fishes was 75.49%-91.51%, 1.21%-16.80%, 4.93%-6.61% respectively. The total content of amino acids was 69.89 %-88.58%, of 8 essential amino acids 29.61%-38.23%, of 4 delicious amino acids 27.20%-34.92%. All data demonstrated that there is relatively high protein content, comprehensive amino acids and high content of essential and delicious amino acids. Conclusion: The six cold-water fishes belong to super cultured ones involved in high nutritional and economic value and worth to explore for food study and stipulation of germplasmic standard.

Objective To explore the effect of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) on the expression of human leukocyte antigen-G ( HLA-G) in placental trophoblasts in pregnant women with pre-eclampsia.Methods Forty pregnant women, delivered through cesarean section in the Department of Obstetrics of and Gynecology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from October 2008 to October 2009,were enrolled, including 20 women with pre-eclampsia and 20 healthy gravidas (control group).Colorimetry and western blot were applied, respectively,to determine the level of H2O2 and the expression of HLA-G protein in placental tissues and the correlation between them were analyzed. After 24 hours of seeding,JEG-3 cells (the HLA-G positive cell line of choriocarcinoma) were divided into two groups:intervention group (exposure to 175 μmol/L H2O2) and control group (without H2O2).Immunofluorescence and western blot were used to investigate the expression of HLA-G protein in JEG-3 cells at 24 hours and 48 hours after incubation. Results (1 )The level of H2O2 in placenta in the pre-eclampsia group was significantly higher than that in control group[(105 ±13) nmol·mg-1·prot-1 vs (62 ± 18) nmol·mg-1 ·prot-1,P < 0.05].(2) The expression of HLA-G protein in placenta of the pre-eclampsia group was reduced by88%compared with that of the control (0.20 ± 0.08 vs 1.67 ± 0.65,P < 0.05).( 3) Negative correlation was found between HLA-G level and H2O2 expression in the placenta in both groups(r =-0.895,P =0.000).(4) Compared with the control group, the expression of HLA-G protein in JEG-3 cells, after 24 hours and 48 hours exposure to H2O2,reduced by 39% and 80%,respectively,(3.21 ±0.33 vs 1.95 ±0.25 and 0.65 ±0.08,P <0.05,respectively) and 67% reduction was detected from 24 hours to 48 hours of H2O2 exposure (P <0.05).Fluorescence microscope observed reduced expression of HLA-G in JEG-E cells in the intervention group at 48 hours compared to the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion High level of H2O2 could down-regulate HLA-G expression in the placental trophoblasts in pre-eclampsia which may be involved in the pathogenesis of pre-eclampsia.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(07):-
To explore the impact of acceleration load on the temporomandibularjoint in aviators and its clinical significance.617 aviators flying aircraft of different types without previous history of temporomandibularjoint disease were studied. Abnormal manifestations of the temporomandibularjointswere analysed. The incidence of temporomandibular joint symptoms was markedly higher in the fighter plane pilots than that in the transportation planegroup. Load induced by acceleration could be one of the main causative factors of temporomandibularjoint disorder.

8.Neuropsychological performances of vascular dementia
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2002;8(7):388-390
ObjectiveTo detect the neuropsychological performances of vascular dementia(VD) and the varied patterns when the severity of VD progressed. Methods39 patients who fulfilled with National Institute of Neurological and Communicative Disorders and Stroke/the Alzheimer's Diseases and Related Disorders Association(NINDS AIREN) criteria for "probable vascular dementia"were assessed with the neuropsychological scales, including Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), Blessed Dementia Scale (BDS), Clinical Memory Scale, Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale Revised China (WAIS-RC) and Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR), to measure the change of orientation to time and place, memory, language, visuospatial skills, cognitive function, personality characteristics, the activities of social and daily living and self maintenance. Patients were divided into mild, moderate and severe categories according CDR scores.ResultsAmong mild, moderate and severe categories, significant differences (P<0.05) were detected in the following subtests: orientation to time of MMSE, digit span, block design, object assembly, arithmetic of WAIS-RC, memory quotient, the activities of social and daily living and self maintenance of BDS. In moderate/severe and mild/severe categories, significant differences (P<0.05) were detected in the MMSE language subtest, WAIS-RC comprehension subtest and verbal intelligence quotient. Significant differences were detected in MMSE orientation to time subtest and WAIS RC similarities subtest only between mild/severe categories (P<0.05). In the MMSE immediate or delayed recall, drawing, simple calculation subtests, and BDS personality subtest, no significant differences were detected among mild, moderate and severe categories (P>0.05). Conclusions Patients with mild VD showed general deterioration of orientation, memory, language, visuospatial skills, cognitive function, personality characteristics, the activities of social and daily living and self maintenance. However, the speed of deterioration of each item was different when the severity of VD progressed. No close correlation was observed between personality characteristics alteration and the severity of VD. From mild to moderate and moderate to severe VD, the speed of deterioration of part of the cognitive function, especially the knowledge ever acquired, was slow relatively. The other aspects continued deteriorating in all stages of VD.
