2.Arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: a comparison between bone-patellar tendon-bone autograft and two-strand hamstring tendon autograft
Chinese Journal of Trauma 1991;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate arthroscopic reconstruction of a torn anterior cruciate ligament with either a central-third bone-patellar tendon-bone autograft or a two-strand semitendinosus-gracilis autograft and compare the results of clinical testing, satisfaction and functional status. Methods A retrospective study was done on 49 cases undergoing reconstruction with an ipsilateral central-third bone-patellar tendon-bone autograft and 54 treated with an ipsilateral two-strand semitendinosus-gracilis autograft. Patients were followed up for an average of 31.6 months (24-48 months). At the time of final follow-up, patients in each group were evaluated by Lysholm knee score, International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) rating scale and KT-1000 arthrometer for ACL ligament stability. Results No statistical difference was found between the groups in regard of the Lysholm knee score, overall IKDC score or KT-1000 arthrometrical measurements that stand for patient satisfaction, knee function and objective stability, respectively. The patellar tendon procedure group had a significantly higher knee pain rate than the hamstring group (37% versus 11%). Conclusions The bone-patellar tendon-bone autograft and the two-strand semitendinosus-gracilis autograft can attain comparable results for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in regard to patient satisfaction, knee stability and knee function in the medium-term follow-up. However, reconstruction of anatomic attachment sites, firm initial fixation and a structured postoperative rehabilitation program may have more influence on clinical outcomes and knee stability.
3.The mediating effect of time value on procrastination and meaning in life in college students
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2021;30(4):346-350
Objective:To investigate the relationship between meaning in life and procrastination of college students, and whether time value plays an mediating role between them. Methods:A total of 605 college students in Guizhou completed general procrastination scale, time value scale and life meaning scale.SPSS 22.0 software and PROCESS maro program were used for descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and mediating effect exploration.Results:(1) The procrastination score of college students was (34.40±7.74), the score of time value was (33.17±4.41), and the score of meaning in life was(46.03±8.81). (2) Procrastination was negatively correlated with meaning in life and time value ( r=-0.38, -0.16 respectively, P<0.01). While meaning in life was positively correlated with time value( r=0.31, P<0.01). (3) The mediating effect of time value perception between meaning seeking and procrastination was 22.6%.The direct effect of meaning in life on procrastination was 77.4%. Conclusion:College students with high meaning seeking is less procrastination, and time value mediates the effect between procrastination and meaning in life.Improving college students' meaning in life is conducive to indirectly reducing procrastination through time value.
4.Relation of inflammatory inhibition and headache after subarachnoid hemorrhage
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(2):103-105
ObjectiveTo explore pathogenesis of headache after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) whether related with immune inflammatory reaction in subarachnoid and observe the effect of immunosuppressive action of dexamethasone on headache.Methods80 patients who was consciousness and complained headache after SAH were randomly divided into four groups, treated only with mannitol, mannitol plus cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) replacement, intrathecal and vein injection with dexamethasone. Effects of four groups were observed.ResultsEfficiencies of four groups were respectively the mannitol group 27.27%, the permutation group 66.67%, the intrathecal group 92.36% and the vein group 30.00%. There was a significantly difference between the intrathecal group and other three groups, and the time of headache remission for intrathecal group was also longer than that of other three groups (P<0.01).ConclusionThe wide immune inflammatory responses in subarachnoid induced by degenerative and hemic CSF is likely main cause of headache after SAH and intrathecal injection with dexamethasone has an obviously effect.

For engineering an efficient butanol-producing Escherichia coli strain, many efforts have been paid on the known genes or pathways based on current knowledge. However, many genes in the genome could also contribute to butanol production in an unexpected way. In this work, we used Tn5 transposon to construct a mutant library including 1 196 strains in a previously engineered butanol-producing E. coli strain. To screen the strains with improved titer of butanol production, we developed a high-throughput method for pyruvate detection based on dinitrophenylhydrazine reaction using 96-well microplate reader, because pyruvate is the precursor of butanol and its concentration is inversely correlated with butanol in the fermentation broth. Using this method, we successfully screened three mutants with increased butanol titer. The insertion sites of Tn5 transposon was in the ORFs of pykA, tdk, and cadC by inverse PCR and sequencing. These found genes would be efficient targets for further strain improvement. And the genome scanning strategy described here will be helpful for other microbial cell factory construction.
